~ The History of Zelda & Chill ~
In 2018, chill instrumental hip hop producer @MikelTBE created an album that would inspire a worldwide movement of lofi video game music. The original Zelda & Chill included 14 remixes of The Legend of Zelda video game series. Tracks spanning the original Zelda title theme, to Link to the Past, through Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, and Breath of the Wild.
Partnering with @DjCutman for mix and mastering, the two worked together to create the now legendary album Zelda & Chill. The following four years led to the release of Zelda & Chill 2 (2020), and finally Zelda & Chill III (2022).
The Zelda & Chill Trilogy contains 42 songs and 2 hours of music, all finely produced instrumental hip hop / chillhop / lo-fi style beats from The Legend of Zelda.
With nearly a quarter billion plays on Spotify and over ten thousand vinyl records pressed, Zelda & Chill holds the title as the most popular video game cover album series of all time.

Man, your albums are so good, they raise my grade by so much. Your best one in my opinion is the Hyrule Castle 2. I love the beat to that one, and even my brother, who doesn't play Zelda, likes that one a lot.

I actually really love how you made breath of the wild backdrops for each song, it would have made sense to use totk instead since it just came out, but using the botw made this so much more nostalgic, since these all came out during the botw era

Doing work, chilling with friends, or even just at home, it helps with anxiety while at ALL times stays true to the nature of the original song. I strongly feel that this is THE TRACK for Zelda fans, music fans, or really anyone on RUclips. If you can get on, this is music harmony. It portrays the gameplay in a more calming way, showing how relaxing much of the games really are. As a Nintendo nerd myself, I appreciate this track more than most, as it helps me in countless ways. I’ll never forget the first time I heard the very first Zelda and Chill mix. It was summer camp and my favorite camp counselor at the time and his buddy showed me that video. I had found out the buddy passed maybe a year ago back. I listen in reminiscence. Thank you.

As a musician I have to say, the arrangement on this is really, really good. They did a great job at taking the existing job, and making it more lo-fi, particularly with the usage of the percussion and the instrumentation. This is quite impressive, and I give massive props to them for making something this good.
