I didn't know this about the game, so when I played it for the first time in 2020, that was a pleasant surprise. It was already my favourite mechanic from Crown Tundra.
It's been a while, but if you want to give another Following Pokemon game a try, there's a Following Pokemon patch for Pokemon Platinum, and it's also been made compatible with the Renegade Platinum hack if you want a slightly modified story/difficulty level with added Fairy typing and full 493 dex.
My mom bought this game for me for Christmas when I was 6 and we played it together. She passed last year, so I share your pain. Sending love from one grieving heart to another
I got Pokemon Soulsilver at christmas 2010. When all was perfect. My first Pokemon game ever. I remember all. I remember when in a morning summer 2010/11 i went to sea with a bus and i played this game with my Togepi with Metronome for see every moves. I never forget you,Cyndaquil. I never forget you,Silver. I never forget you,Lance. I never forget those times. NEVER.
2010 thats crazy i got it as a birthday gift shortly after it came out so I’m realizing i might still be playing the same game most days 10 yeara later
Nothing REALLY beats Johto. HGSS are incredible remakes but even the originals were incredible. Excuse me, you're telling me I get to go back to Kanto, get 8 more badges, and then fight an even stronger elite 4? Why the hell aren't other pokemon games like this?! Nothing beats the sheer content that game had, let alone the incredible music, atmosphere, and even little diversions they had you go on like the Ampharos in the lighthouse! If they ever stop making new generations of pokemon, I'd love to see them remake every game in the latest engine. This would always be my go to.
@@sudattashakya6288 i mean thats not shocking when it was suppose to be the last game at the time. The pacing was weird even as a kid but its concept is the best 8 badges just is not enough :P
The newest games are also way too easy. You fly through the story and they hand everything else to you. And the complete lack of presence for Typhlosion is bewildering to me.
I remember my brother not letting me play on his copy of Heartgold (understandable), so I got my parents to buy me Soulsilver as a kid. This was my first Pokémon game. Loved it to death! Thanks for the video!!!!
Cool beans man, what coincidence my brother who had heartgold also didn’t let me play his, and like you my mom got me soulsilver, also being my first pokemon game. Life is crazy man.
i had the exact same experience! I would sit and watch my older brother for hours waiting for my turn that never came lol. My parents finally got me soul silver and i have since had multipule 999 hour save files.
Too be honest, I like the 2d style better than the 3D style... I don’t know... Pokémon like deoxys, groudon, typhlosion, and many more look better in 2d. Not gonna lie though, I like both the environments in 2d and 3D.
@@cheerios2548 I like the 5th gen Pokemon battle art and animations, but the 2d pixel art environment was so much prettier in 4th gen, I hate that they are 'remaking' diamond and pearl with 3D graphics, like the pixel art didn't look bad at all
POV: It is 2021. You are not a kid anymore but you are here to experience the nostalgic feeling of remembering the countless hours of fun you had as a kid playing this masterpiece of a game. You have probably tried booting up your old DS Lite / DSi trying to relieve the magic once more at this age. But the feeling just wasn't the same. You got bored of playing relatively quickly. So all you can do now, is to sit back, relax and try to feel even a fraction of the fun you had as a kid by listening to this music.
@@gab5012 I mean, it's a really fun rom hack. I've been playing Storm Silver the past few weeks and it sure is a treat. I do own both physical copies of Heart Gold and Soul Silver, but I wanted something new yet the same, and for older Pokémon fans, it's really fun. You can make fun of emulators and rom hacks all you want but I think you're really missing out.

I was on 4th grade at the time and I was extremely excited for this game, I was counting the days until it's release everyday, the day it released my dad died, he had preordered it for me so it was his last gift, now everytime a pokemon game releases I get really nervous for something to happen.
I got given a copy of HGSS for my 7th birthday. I remember that day staying up all day playing the game fascinated by the world of Pokemon sneaking my DS in my bedroom as it was already past my bedtime. As a kid I moved around a lot my family needing to move due to work reasons. I lived in a lot of really incredible places in those years though I struggled to make friends due to moving so much. My favorite place was always the world of pokemon no matter how many different places I went my Pokemon stayed with me. I'm now 18 in college, I still love pokemon though the new games fail to capture the magic the older games had for me. This music reminds of walking around the Jhoto region with all my pokemon, and all the memories I formed. Thank you for uploading a great compilation.
I know it's a year later, but we're the same age and had the same experience. My family too was forced to move around for my dad's job. I completely feel what you've felt. It was amazing, but lonely at the same time. Having no roots to plant isn't easy, especially for a kid. Pokèmon is and will always be my go to, when I feel lonely or sad just by listening to the tunes makes me feel better. Thanks for sharing your story, makes me feel less alone.
@@kyraelmusicz Im kinda scared about the thing that i had the exakt same expieriences. I'm the same age as u guys. I got Pokemon SS for my 7th birthday we moved alot due to work reasons...only diffrence: im from Germany... so, this is probalby not well written 😅
@@friedyo bro that is indeed the crazy thing! Im from 2003 and a Pokemon Pearl player (my first game) everyone in the comments of a gen 4 nostalgia video have the same age or followups on pokemon games :))
this is freaking crazy. I'm around the same age as you all too and going to finish my second year of college after this spring. SoulSilver was given to me in the summer of 2010 when I was 8, and it was my first pokemon game. I too was fascinated by the game and the world of Pokemon, and since then I got every new gen pokemon game. I enjoy running around in Scarlet, but I give thanks to the Johto region for making me a Pokemon fan in the first place. Just like you all, I find it amazing and welcoming that this game and others that were released a year prior or after hgss was released was when they first discovered Pokemon too. Stay safe out there fellas :]
@@Antonio-rw3pu to be fair if you had Heart Gold it was a very epic moment in the story, scaling the tower and catching Ho-oh at the top! I remember you catch Lugia in a cave but it’s a lot less memorable imo.
When you have SoulSilver, climbing the tower in the post-game feels like "Wow, so the other dudes got that nice, easy tower to climb with a cool scenery while I wa slost for half an hour inbetween stupid whirlpools and caves ? dammit"
I remember playing this when a relative of mine was really sick. It was around fall time. This music brought so much comfort at that time. I’ll never ever stop loving Pokémon.
i love how the hgss's music sounds like a transiction between gen 4 and gen 5 music. you realize that they perfectly mixed these generations's sounds and created this unique beautiful music for this very fun game. i love absolutely everything about hgss!
HGSS still remains one of the best Pokemon games I've ever played. Spent countless hours as a kid trying to beat Whitney's Miltank and finally beating it with a stroke of luck from a crit, watching Voltorb Flip tutorials and strats to buy a Dratini, walking everywhere with my Eevee so it could evolve into Espeon, realizing for the first time that I stepped foot in Kanto... wow. Absolutely loved this game to pieces. I wish I could walk up Route 47 57:18 for the first time again. It was magical running along the ocean/cliff's edge while hearing that music. Still waiting for the day Pokemon makes another game where they put in so much content that it keeps me playing for 300+ hours, just like what HGSS did. Maybe that will never happen again considering how life just keeps getting tougher, but I'll always look back to my happy memories of HGSS :') thank you for uploading!
49:27 nostalgia. Back to when nothing mattered. You were a kid. Enjoying life. Wanting to finish school to walk about red/blue and catch all the main 151 mon’s and life was so easy💚😭😭😭😭
@Brian please enjoy your life in school while youre still young, after being about to finish school life just... changes, not necessarliy in a good way and you'll just be sitting there missing your old life
@Brian thing you may not notice is, things you do outside of school like meeting up with friends, gaming or whatever won't be the same anymore after school, at worst case, you wont have any of those anymore
I got Soulsilver when i was yet just an elementary school kid. At the time i knew nothing about Pokémon. One of my cousins kept telling me how exciting the game was gonna be when it comes out, and i got so exicted just by the thoughts! And when i got that red dsi for the first time on my hands and pressed the a button....my life changed Jotho you'll always be the home of me and many Chikorita...i dont care what people say to this day you're amazing and im proud you were my first Pokémon ❤ Have a good life everyone And remember Gotta catch'em all!
Imagine Pokemon Legends Celebi. A sequel to Legends Arceus. Return to Johto but in 3D. On new Switch hardware. Witness the tragic burning of Ecruteak Tower and the birth of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. The Silver and Gold clan. The Rocket Expedition Team. Meet the ancestors of Lyra, Ethan etc. One can dream right?
My favorite part of this video is the fact that the footage is Ethan standing next to a Furret. Furret is one of my favs, so this would be something I'd do in a story run. Thank you for that and for pulling together this music!
This has affected me so deeply emotionally. For me as a child Pokémon was a major community and place to bond over. Not only did all of my friends collect the cards and discuss Pokémon on almost a daily basis, but I greatly enjoyed the various pokétuber videos for a long time. This music lights a flame within myself that I almost forgot ever burned
my first pokemon game. my first dsi game. and also one of, if not the best memories of my childhood. me and my brothers had all enjoyed hgss together. here i am, 11 years later still thinking back to it. this game had made a difference in who i am today and i’ll never forget it. i’m tearing up as i listen to these songs and remember enjoying the game for the first time. thanks for uploading such an awesome playlist and reminding me of back then ^^
Idk why but relistening to these old sound tracks makes me tear up and miss the times when I was younger being put into a completely different world playing these games. Makes me realize how much I played games to get away from hard times as a kid. They say to enjoy being a kid, but damn, time really flies. I'll always remember those times.
SoulSilver was my first ever Pokemon game. It was the summer of 2010, and my brother and my sister both had Pearl. I saw the enjoyment they had when playing the games and wanted one myself. I begged my parents until they decided to get me a Pokemon game. Seeing Lugia on the front package and reading the description of the game for the first time is an unforgettable feeling. What was even more unforgettable was booting up the game and picking my first ever starter, Chikorita. Discovering everything new about the game and catching every Pokemon I encountered was fun in my eyes. I didn't need to worry about anything in the real world while playing SoulSilver with my Chikorita. The thrill of battling and beating each gym, the awestruck feeling of finally meeting Lugia, and the excitement to battle and catch Lugia , my first legendary, will always be engraved in my memories. Unfortunately, the progress and journey I made in SoulSilver was accidentally erased by a relative, including my first partner. Only four Pokemon from my Johto journey had escaped from being erased: My Kingdra, Swampert, Vaporeon, and my lovely Lugia, all who were chilling in my White 2 game. I will never forget the feelings and memories I made with SoulSilver and I'm always grateful that I had grown up with Pokemon, as well as being grateful for the Pokemon that still live on from my original journey (ESPECIALLY my Lugia). I'm now 20 years and enjoying Scarlet with its open world and lovely glitches, but I'm planning on revisiting SoulSilver one day since I still have the game with me and starting a whole new journey with Chikorita, as if I was 8 years old all over again. Thank you SoulSilver for changing my life forever and being part of my childhood.
This brings back so much memories of when everything was so different. When everything was fine. I think I forgot how it felt not being stressed at all, when time was moving slowly. I needed this, thank you so much
It's funny, when I played HG/SS I was nostalgic for the original games that I played when they released, I was like 7 years old. Now, more than 10 years after HG/SS I feel the same nostalgia for the remakes. Thanks for the collection, some of these tunes will stay with me till the day I die!
I know not many people are going to see this, but this is the story of a wee lad and his Pokémon journey through life... It started back in 2010-2011, when my brothers birthday in September came along and he got his own copy of Pokémon Heartgold. Now at this point me and my brother were sharing a ds, but it was rightfully my brothers so he spent most of his time on it, but let me play every once in a while. My brother and I fell in love with the game in a heart beat, and even though we weren't the best and could barely make it halfway through the game, the experience was legendary. When my birthday rolled along in late October, our parents had ordered my a ds a long with my own copy of Soulsilver. I had to wait a few days before my ds would arrive at the post office, but just having the game cartridge was amazing on it's own, think of all the amazing virtual adventures I'd have once I loaded up the game for the first time. Re-Reading the the back of the box over, excitement over taking me as all I could do was wait to start my very first adventure, not realizing this adventure would consume my life for the years to come. Now when my ds arrived at the post office a few days later, I was the happiest I think any living human being could be. I put the game in, asked my brother to help me load up the first game and get past all the tutorials that confused me more than they should have, though I was 6. My first starter was Cyntaquil, and it was the cutest but most badass Pokémon out of all the Pokémon I found in the game, which wasn't very far in to the full game, for I still was a 6 year old kid that couldn't figure out the not so complex story of the Johto region. This went on for years, even ending up using an action replay on one of many save files to get my next favorite Pokémon Nidoking to lvl 100 and sweeping the entire game. Of course, I did end up laying down the game for some years as more new games like Diamond and Black and Black 2 came along. I was crazy for Pokémon and I didn't really stop playing until the 7th grade where at that point, I had decided to sell my 3ds along with many games previously mentioned, which unbeknown to me was one of the most regretful decisions of my life. Now we'll skip to a few more years later, Grade 10 and well on my way through high school. When winter rolled along, my head was back into Pokémon. I got a NEW 3ds along with Moon and I had a blast playing through the game with Decidueye, and it reminds me of all the amazing times I had with my old games and I want to play them again. I know I hadn't sold my SS(Soulsilver) and D(Diamond) games, and though I was able to relocate my D game, SS was nowhere to be found, only an empty case. Later on, out of nowhere, covid hits. Now at this point a lot of time normally spent at school was now free time since the online classes were still new and there wasn't much for me to do as I had already been flying through my classes. I end up spending some time cleaning out my closet when boom, under the boxes and boxes of old toys and clothes, my singular cartridge of SS had been found. I remember how absolutely over joyed I was, I literally was jumping for joy. It wasn't like I could tell anyone how I felt, since my brother had moved on from those games years prior, almost being a high school graduate(though he never sold his games and still has them to this day). I was ecstatic and immediately ran for my 3ds and popped in the game, hoping it would still run, thinking, "pls don't be broken, oh wait, do I still have an old save file? what could there be???". I found that it was an action replay file and i had several lvl 100's, such as Dragonite, Metagross, and Togekiss. I also found that it was the same file that had my lvl 100 Nidoking from the many years prior through photographer photos that I found in my pc. Though I don't remember what happen to my Nidoking, I knew how much I loved the Pokémon and couldn't wait to start a new file and build an amazing team with my more mature knowledge of the game. I used my old ds and my 3ds to save some of the Pokémon that I wanted to cherish as well as some items that were hacked into the game such as lucky eggs and master balls. When I started the new file, It was so much fun. Running though all the old places I used to fail to progress through without over lvled Pokémon. I built a team, naming each character after a titan in Titanfall 2 cause that was a game I loved playing at the time. I captured my favourite pokemon Typhlosion and Nidoking as well as some new members I never tried before like ampharos and espeon. I went all the way to the elite 4, trained my pokemon to lvl 63 each, and beat the elite 4 with a full team with 50 hours already put into the one save file. I flew through Kanto right after, teaching better moves to my team , like earthquake and posion jab to nidoking. I trained on the new elite 4 again to lvl 85 which took me to a save file time of 110 hours. I the took on red and beat the entire game. I found out that I could also grab a kanto and hoenn starters and saved them for a new run I would do later on. I since the ran through the game more than 3 times, wracking up all the starts from 4 regions, johto, kanto, hoenn, and sinnoh. My collection has since been complete and I wracked up 2 full pc slots full of different pokemon I used in my runs to help me complete my quest. In gr 12 was when I started my first hardcore nuzlocke of the game with my friend, whom used my brothers old cartridge and ds. He had no previous experience and I help him try and go through the whole process which he was pretty good at. Right now, he has since lost his runs to bugsy 2 times, silver in front of the 2nd gym once, and morty once, and has given up on the nuzlocke, which was a bit disheartening for me since I had still been going strong on my 3rd run through at the 6th gym. It's been a few months since then, And through my progress I have build a strong line up of 8 pokemon, one of them being my first ever shiny in the game, a Gloom, and he is the coolest pokemon ever. I evoled him to a vile plume and trained him up to lvl 50 for the elite 4 along with a few of the other pokemon on the line up, such as Starmie with a perfect nature, Gengar, Typhlosion, umbreon, Skarmory, Heracross, and Gyarados (not red). I haven't been playing for a while since uni started, but I hope to get back into it soon. Thanks for reading this, if anyone has, and I hope Pokemon has made your lives so much better just like mine :) Luv all of you
Listening to this while studying and listening to the rain patter against my window. I'm a senior in college now, yet this music brings me back to elementary school and carrying around that little pokeball with me everywhere lmfao thank you for making this playlist!

It's 2am on a December night in 2013. the dim Christmas lights are on and it's quiet. Everyone is asleep. Well not everyone, this 13 year old brat is grinding his pokemon for hours, keeping the DS volume low so he wouldn't get caught staying up, as he has school tomorrow. I miss those days
I got gifted Pokemon gold and a DS when I was about 9 years old for Christmas from my uncle, since I used to watch him play all the time. He loved to show me Pokemon. He died November and I’m forever grateful he gave me something like this to remember him by
This is my most favorite series. From the music, to the environment, to the pokémon and don't forget the PokéWalker!! That thing is gold. Love, love, love this series. 💖💖💖
I remember when I was little that I was a big fan of Pokemon, unfortunately I couldn't play because we had a bad economic situation at home, but years later thanks to a mobile emulator I was able to play. For me the best pokemon game ever!
I started Pokemon with Gen 3 (FireRed & Sapphire) and playing through Heart Gold Version years later, it was freaking surreal going back to the Kanto region and hearing all the gen 2 remixed music of Kanto. It was like a huge surprise.
These games released one day before my tenth birthday 🥲 I remember how excited I was when they got announced, because I had been hoping for Jotho remakes for a while. The fourth Pokémon movie was one of my favorites. I remember watching walkthroughs of the Japanese games and American unboxings, probably some of the first English RUclips videos I ever saw. There were so many little things to love about it, like the spike eared pichu, or whatever it’s called in English and the Pokéwalker of course. My parents preordered both versions for my birthday. That was probably the best birthday I ever had. 💕
This is my favourite Pokémon music compilation right now. It includes some of my favourites, Cianwood City and National Park, and I listen to it all the time while studying for university. It's the end of the first semester and exams are coming up, so I'm really busy studying and these Pokémon/Nintendo music compilations help make it less boring.
57:18 This one was always nostalgic to me, even in 2011 but now that time passed, this is even more nostalgic!! HGSS isn't my favorite game (I preferred Black 2) but it was my first game so it's the most important to me. All this time with my meganium running through the beautiful backgrounds of Johto and Kanto, doing all the sides quest, playing pokeathlon, and just chilling. And, Does someone remember the GB sound?? This simple object could change the music into 8bit!!! I used this object a lot!!! I really need a Johto remake!
HeartGold was my 1st Pokémon game. Loved it to bits even if I didn't know what I was doing most of the time. Furret happens to be my favorite Pokémon and Bell/Tin Tower is my favorite song from the games. So the picture even sells it for me
I was very young when HGSS first came out, but i remember my brother getting Heartgold for his birthday. Years later He let me play with it, and now I'm here remembering all the good times. HGSS were really the best games, even for younger generations
Been listening to this as a study playlist since I began my degree 4 years ago and I just finished my last ever exam, shoutout to Ethan and his lil Furret just vibing in Ecruteak City while I was having a meltdown trying to solve differential equations 🫠
The soundracks are so great that I can recognize every OSTs and their locations, even though I've never listened to them in years... That just shows how incredible HGSS was and how much nostalgia it brings to us... Truly a testament of the greatness the franchise was used to
This has been such a delight to listen to. Thank you for putting this together! Johto will always have a special place in my heart. This is my favorite region. My beloved Chikorita, and catching my first Spinarak. The introduction of Umbreon and Espeon! I hope Johto get's to come to the switch, or even the next consol. I'd love to see a version of these games with upgraded graphics.
Gold was my favorite of them all. It was Johto AND Kanto. HeartGold is probably my favorite of all time. I got it and was so excited and finished it in 3 days. so many good memories
I spent so long on this game, and I never got bored. It’s such a masterpiece and probably influenced me as a kid enough to get into playing music. I’ll never forget it 😭
This will forever be my favorite of all the Pokémon games. Hearing these songs fills me with nostalgia because heartgold was my very first pokemon game when I was in fourth grade
It's good to hear this nostalgic songs, to bring you back to those days when there was nothing bad, nothing to be worry about, just you, your DS and your pokemon.
I remember my dad buying me this game much to the indignation of my mother after I failed my maths exam in 2010. After that, I averaged a B+ for my maths exams all the way. Thanks dad for believing in me.
being sick with “a virus” and feeling like hell every day… this always makes me cry which in turn makes me feel better. i appreciate it a lot. thank you :)
End of 2009, I was 5 years old and i got into a store and saw this game in a large box that contained the game and the additional Pokéwalker, grabbed chikorita since i didn't even know how to switch pokeball in the starter choosing menù and got blocked into the bell tower because i couldn't find the place to hop on because of the giant wodden pillar in the middle blocking the whole vision and gave up, after I don't know how many years I remembered the game and found out that i was blocked on a stupid place where i could have head out pretty easily, still continued the run and finished it on the league thinking that it was the end. Found out about Red and Kanto after another couple of years, so yeah, my journey on a single game was endless and lasted about 6 years in just a save file and I'm happy it was my first Pokémon game. (Plus note: I didn't even know how to use the Pokéwalker and gave up on it too, lol I was so dumb, but again I was very little and innocent).
Had a dream about this game a couple nights ago. I unlocked a new part of it after completely beating the game where there were new super high lvl trainers and shiny pokemon. It was a rock path that led to the left of the beach area outside of the battle arena place. Super fun concept
Man this game just takes me back man I completely forgot about the pokéwalker that'd be for walking your Pokémon around in a lil poke ball themed toy it was super cute I always loved importing my Pokémon into them.
SoulSilver was my first Pokémon game and it will always be my favorite. If only I could go back and play it again for the first time. I was also excited to receive the Pokéwalker. I remember taking my Sandshrew on a field trip to the museum and taking care of it. Also the Pokémon sprites go hard. Especially the overworld walking sprites.

meh. Used to think the same but in a game and progression stand point the Johto games are the worst.
@@sudattashakya6288 That's just a numbers thing, not necessarily an issue with that games design, so I don't view that as too much of an issue.
I remember my brother not letting me play on his copy of Heartgold (understandable), so I got my parents to buy me Soulsilver as a kid. This was my first Pokémon game. Loved it to death! Thanks for the video!!!!
Your brother was smart. You deserved your own copy of a pokemon game, if you both got attached to the same save file, it’d be quite the dilemma
Very understandable
Did you ever trade with him? You should totally trade a haunter, machoke or Graveller
These are the best remakes of all time. The visuals still trounce the newer 3D style. The DS Pokemon Games bleed atmosphere like its nothing.
Too be honest, I like the 2d style better than the 3D style... I don’t know... Pokémon like deoxys, groudon, typhlosion, and many more look better in 2d. Not gonna lie though, I like both the environments in 2d and 3D.
@@cheerios2548 I like the 5th gen Pokemon battle art and animations, but the 2d pixel art environment was so much prettier in 4th gen, I hate that they are 'remaking' diamond and pearl with 3D graphics, like the pixel art didn't look bad at all
@@thijmstickman8349 5th gen gloomy battle background is worse than 4th gen clean background, 5th gen only excels in plot and cutscenes

agreed!. ORAS felt like a downgrade in some aspects compared to HGSS.
The nostalgia is HITTING HARD
🎶DUN DUN DUN DUN 🎶

POV: It is 2021. You are not a kid anymore but you are here to experience the nostalgic feeling of remembering the countless hours of fun you had as a kid playing this masterpiece of a game.
You have probably tried booting up your old DS Lite / DSi trying to relieve the magic once more at this age. But the feeling just wasn't the same. You got bored of playing relatively quickly. So all you can do now, is to sit back, relax and try to feel even a fraction of the fun you had as a kid by listening to this music.
I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
Play Pokemon sacred gold/ storm silver. Trust me on this one man.

@@gab5012 I mean, it's a really fun rom hack. I've been playing Storm Silver the past few weeks and it sure is a treat.
Stay safe out there fellas :]
i’m 21 but went through a lot of similar things. pokemon was really the only constant in my life, it means so much to me.
This is a place where true gamers can look back on how great these games were

Good 👍 I liké music 😂
HeartGold and SoulSilver are truly timeless masterpieces
BOO
This part of the map is a hidden gem. Truly beautiful
The fact that I remember its the tower where you catch HO-OH makes me feel I know every bit about this game. :/
@@Antonio-rw3pu to be fair if you had Heart Gold it was a very epic moment in the story, scaling the tower and catching Ho-oh at the top!
I remember you catch Lugia in a cave but it’s a lot less memorable imo.
When you have SoulSilver, climbing the tower in the post-game feels like "Wow, so the other dudes got that nice, easy tower to climb with a cool scenery while I wa slost for half an hour inbetween stupid whirlpools and caves ? dammit"
@@jit__ I remember how frustrated i got when I ran out of super repel… and i had 30+ of those!!!!
I remember playing this when a relative of mine was really sick. It was around fall time. This music brought so much comfort at that time. I’ll never ever stop loving Pokémon.
Childhood ❤
i love how the hgss's music sounds like a transiction between gen 4 and gen 5 music. you realize that they perfectly mixed these generations's sounds and created this unique beautiful music for this very fun game. i love absolutely everything about hgss!
the transitional sound is because hgss shares bw's soundfont, but still generally uses the compositional conventions of dppt. it's really good!

Probably the most nostalgic game for me, barely remember these themes so hearing them again is amazing

HGSS was so full of life. It gave me life. I love Johto so much.
Thanks for reading this, if anyone has, and I hope Pokemon has made your lives so much better just like mine :)
Luv all of you

End of the second semester, I'm still studying with this. These archaeology classes are kicking my ass

30:41 - Sinjoh Ruins
The soundracks are so great that I can recognize every OSTs and their locations, even though I've never listened to them in years... That just shows how incredible HGSS was and how much nostalgia it brings to us... Truly a testament of the greatness the franchise was used to
Hearing this music always brings me back to my childhood

This has been such a delight to listen to. Thank you for putting this together! Johto will always have a special place in my heart. This is my favorite region. My beloved Chikorita, and catching my first Spinarak. The introduction of Umbreon and Espeon! I hope Johto get's to come to the switch, or even the next consol. I'd love to see a version of these games with upgraded graphics.

I spent so long on this game, and I never got bored. It’s such a masterpiece and probably influenced me as a kid enough to get into playing music. I’ll never forget it 😭
When did I get so old that this is my nostalgia. I miss this game.
This will forever be my favorite of all the Pokémon games. Hearing these songs fills me with nostalgia because heartgold was my very first pokemon game when I was in fourth grade
Thank you so much for this amazing music compilation!!!
listening as i finish my last assignments ever for college :) thank you for the calming and lovely nostalgia trip!!
I really like the animated gif. It's very cute
comfy
It's good to hear this nostalgic songs, to bring you back to those days when there was nothing bad, nothing to be worry about, just you, your DS and your pokemon.
I remember my dad buying me this game much to the indignation of my
mother after I failed my maths exam in 2010.
(Plus note: I didn't even know how to use the Pokéwalker and gave up on it too, lol I was so dumb, but again I was very little and innocent).
this whole soundtrack is extremely nostalgic. Brings back the memories.
i haven’t played this game in years, yet i still remember the majority of the songs. forgot how much i loved this game
This soundtrack was really soothing back in the day while growing up in a tumultuous environment.
This is especially nostalgic for me because I used Furret in my first playthrough.
Lovely. This should have 1M+ views to be completely honest. Wow.
