Gen 4 and 5 were experiences thats I will cherish till the day I die. Even today i still boot up the old ds lite or 3ds and play soul silver or bw2 every now and again, but every time i try it gets a little harder for the game to be recognized. Almost like fate or something doesn’t want me to go back and keep moving forward. Some silly movie stuff.
The older songs make me wanna cry, I guess it's because I miss how simple life used to be. Great job on the video, I really enjoyed the song choices and the wind in the back.

Theres a comment below that mentions how you "strayed from the theme" and included songs not normally classified as "relaxing". I think part of what makes this relaxing is that we have the wind noises over these songs. It makes it more realistic. Not everything is perfect sounding all the time, and if you are a walking in a windy forest it doesnt care how you are feeling. The wind will blow as it pleases. So idk something about that just works for me, and makes this relaxing. I think the contrast between pokemon center night theme with howling wind at 30:00 and then two songs later is upbeat sonias theme. Thats good shit lol

Kind of sad Emerald wasn't on the list, even if it is close enough to Ruby and Sapphire. I spend over a 1000 hours on emerald, did everything you could. I remember just turning on my DS and sitting in littleroot town for hours to go to sleep. Ahhh. I miss those days.
Reading the comments makes me realize I have no nostalgia for the later pokemon games. I don't even remember most of these. Of my 1000s of hours playing pokemon, I guess probably 80% of it is just in the first 3 generations. That music sends me to the moon. I went to college when Diamond/Pearl came out so I skipped those till years later. And from studying pokemon fandom history, that seems to be the most popular generation. Thanks to the popularity of the DS I suppose. And a natural progression of Pokemon entering the zeitgeist. But there's a weird disconnect I think, between me and the younger generation of fans.

Yep! Had the Black Screen of Death many times. It works though. Recently they discovered Arceus in the void which I can confirm works.
