      What exactly happened?
      Did they use the psi emitter to attack a Dominion colony or were the troops down below also UED? If they were Dominion why would they point to the BC as air support (were they mistaken?) and if they were UED why were they attacked by Zerg? I’m guessing they had the technology to draw but not to control Zerg while attacking a Dominion colony at that point? Or did they directly attack their own troops just to test out the Zerg’s capabilities?
      If that’s the case, it’s even harder to feel sorry for Gerard.
      Centuries later and light years away, the powerful still use the little guys as chess pieces in war. Some things never change …

  • @julianmarco4185
    @julianmarco4185 Год назад +69

    I am gonna be honest with everyone: For the longest time: I thought that the UED had just stunbled on to this base getting attacked by the Zerg.
    It never crossed my mind that they were the ones who unleashed the Zerg on the base and this was basically a field test to see how the Zerg can be used as biological weapons!

    • @SeriousBearGaming
      @SeriousBearGaming  Год назад +20

      Yes,you get a little hint for that in the colour of the marines in the trenches,being red. Dominion troops have that colour (specifically Sons of Korhal) ,and the UED are white. In the last cinematic it shows clearly a white marine stands near a red one so defenetly done on purpose to let you know the UED observed a Dominion colony being attacked by the zerg and how they dealt with it. In my understanding,Stukov wanted to use the Zerg to eliminate opponents but DuGalle refused. Quite ironic where that got them in the end.

    • @julianmarco4185
      @julianmarco4185 Год назад +10

      @@SeriousBearGaming Following the UED was interesting but they reminded me too much of the Confederacy.
      The Confederte Leadership basically did the same thing: the used Psy Emitters to attract a Zerg infestation on a colony that was getting out of line and then they either swept in to save it and get the praise of being heroes or they let the colony be wiped out (and then maybe the Protoss could glass the surface of the planet)
      Speaking of Protoss, in the first game they had the power to basically wipe out everything on the surface of a planet (Chau Sara, Mar Sara, etc.) They never once said: "Let's go use this amazing power to glass Char, the biggest nest of Zerg. "
      It's just a plothole that never gets explained.
      The protoss are literally nerfed from their introduction of the first game because they were so OP.

      @jerryguo2695 8 месяцев назад +4

      @@julianmarco4185 the Protoss thing can probably be easily be explained by the fact that those early Zerg infestations were not sophisticated Zerg broods. They were mostly lings and hydras with no real air support or a fleet of space faring zergs like char would have. That means Protoss basically had no contest in space allowing them to glass unhindered. For example the invasion on tarsonis was much more serious and Protoss did in fact did a ground invasion rather than glassing because there were mutas and guardians with the brood this time. Ofc it could be tassadar being merciful but it still felt like when there are serious Zerg or Terran air presence, glassing seems to no longer be an option. Could be a plot hole but it makes sense if glassing can only be done safely only if air superiority is established

As a country we send too much money to other countries to aid assistance and our country is not in order. Ukraine for example I don't like what's going on over there especially the war crimes but we have Americans struggling here why are we sending money to them? I could understand if we had proper programs in place to assist struggling Americans. I'm not talking about food stamp programs unemployment or disability because all of those have failed. We have way too many homeless struggling Americans who are working 40+ hours and they live in hotels or cars. If we had issues like this solved in our country and it was running in perfect order. I would say ok we have enough to give aid to other countries but until then not a dime should be sent. I would love to see your recommendations for resources I will let you know what I think.

    Starcraft I featured spaceships that can travel faster than light, but whose crews still watch tapes. Starcraft II looks great, but the aesthetic has changed from Grimdark-Cyberpunk whose characters all seem to be from Texas or Northern Mexico, to more of a final fantasy type aesthetic whose characters come straight out of manga.
    I realize that most of the Terran characters were animated as having shaved heads to cut down on CGI animation cost and lead time, but it really does fit the overall gloomy atmosphere of grizzled condemned convicts fighting against alien monsters. The Terrans were never supposed to be the "good guys" in this saga.

    • @SeriousBearGaming
      @SeriousBearGaming  Год назад +17

      The Original StarCraft was way better in terms of atmosphere. It got inspiration from many other great series like Alien or Starship Troopers. StarCraft II lacks the feel of the original,but has better gameplay.

      @gothivore277 Год назад +3

      The original StarCraft felt way more like space western. Most of the convicts had country accents plus the main Terran enemy was the “Confederate” faction of Edmund duke. It was dark gritty and had a feel of Red Necks in space

    • @jarynn8156
      @jarynn8156 Год назад +1

      You also have to keep in mind the changes in circumstances. Mengsk wanted an empire. So he focused his resources on creating the prestige that goes with such a title. The Confederacy, on the other hand, was only after personal wealth and power for its leaders. We still see that gritty colonial vibe on planets like Mar Sara in SC2, the Confederacy's influence is still there in the fringe worlds. Also, the Terran weren't supposed to be the good guys or the bad guys. They fell on both sides. Raynor, however, has largely been portrayed as a consistently good guy. And in Starcraft 2, they also weren't locked in that role. You still had the Dominion as the bad guy in Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, Mobius Corp in Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. And then the Defenders of Man in Nova Covert Ops. And we see more chaotic elements like the outlaws in WoL and HotS.

      Well,these games were too old to "catch" this whole woke movement era,fortunately. But if they ever make a third game,you can expect nasty things...like Homeworld 3 the recent release.

      @@SeriousBearGaming True, but I also have a feeling that this franchise has flown under the wokester’s radar due to how niche it is (Of course, I could be wrong).
      It’s my understanding that of all entertainment mediums, gaming has been the most immune to the social justice virus. Ironically, I’m actually not much of a gamer so I don’t say this with any great deal of authority, but this is what I’ve heard.

      @@nylaway7170 Yes,movies have been the prime target of political movements but games have been affected too. Especially those released recently (1-2 years old) . I usually avoid anything of the sort in my selection of games,but i had to play Homeworld 3 because of it's long history..and sadly they ruined it.
