Next band from Death Note anime called Maximum The Hormone band What's up people Hungry pride Koi no sperma Mangakata kottolele (if not spelled it wrong🤭) S/n: so many songs to add but try to listening in up above..
The craziest part is that they're completely independent, mostly so they have full control of what they make. Check out the live version of this song, plus "Angriefer", "Dignity Of Spirit", "Welcome To Valhalla", "The Black Death Mansion Murders", & especially "Cadaver/Revadac" Sheet Music Version. Also check out their side project Quadratum with their covers of "Far Beyond The Sun", "For The Love Of God", "Technical Difficulties", & the live version of "Eruption/Dance Of Eternity".
I have been waiting so long for this! Finally! One of my favorite bands. Thanks Luke! You are in for a treat if you keep checking out their music. TBH I don't think they have a single bad song.
Forgot to mention their Quadratum unit consisting of their drummer, bass, violinist and one of the guitarists, doing some insane covers of other great songs, also Unlucky Morpheus can do some nice slower paced accoustic songs such as Hyakki Hikou. They really can do any and everything you'd want of them.
There's an official live version of this from about a year ago that I highly recommend checking out, even if it's just for your own enjoyment. Jill gets to do a violin solo :D
The vocalist Fuki writes the lyrics. She said this song was inspired by the short shoujo manga called The Witch Medea by Miuchi Suzue Many of their songs is inspired by anime, manga and video games
I love this band, and have seen them live on the only time they have ever played outside Japan, in London. So I may go on a bit in this. Unlucky Morpheus refer to themselves as a technical, melodic, speed metal band. They first started in 2009, with just Fuki (singer) and Shiren (who did everything else), they had worked together in a short lived band called Magic Ninja. After that had finished, they both wanted to work together again, so started Unlucky Morpheus, as a Touhou band. Touhou is a platform video game series in Japan that is very popular, by the way the bands is a bunch of nerds (meant in a good way). Unlucky Morpheus was started as a side project, as both members had full time bands. After a while fans started to want to see them play live, so they had to ask friends to help them out, to be able to perform live. It stated like this for a number of years, but you stated to get the some of the friends appear more than others, with Jill (violin) being the last one in 2014, which is also around the time they started to do their own songs, and not just Touhou songs. Then in 2014/15 Fuki found herself with out a main band, lots of side project, but no full time band. So in 2016, with both of them worried about Fuki's future they took the band full time, and asked their friends, with had been with them for a while, to join them. The band members. Fuki (singer) is just a workaholic, in 15 years she has been involved in around 120 releases, mostly full albums. Apart from being in UM she is also in Doll$boxx, a side project between her and Gacharic Spin, she also has her own solo act, plus many other things she is part of inc guest appearances. She is also a designer and occasionally does modeling work, had her own radio show. Also she is not a trained singer, as she say's it's the way her mother sang and that's where she got it from. Shiren (lead Guitar/growls) is normally the lead guitarist, but he has tenosynovitis of the arm, so has to rest it, now and again, that's the reason behind the guitar he uses on stage, as there is not much weight to it. When Shiren takes a rest, Jill takes over his part playing violin when they are live, in 2 songs, Black Pentagram and Angreifer. He has started to do more growls lately due to his arm problem, so they a lot of songs with out the growls. He was also in the 1st Kami band (Babymetal) at Legend "I", he has also been in lots of other bands. He also plays Bass, Keyboards, Piano, Trumpet, Programming, Drums, Percussion, Arrangement, Composition, and various other instruments. Jill (violin) is just ........................ What can you say about Jill, that you can't say about the rest of the band, she is just super talented, she is a Tokyo University of the Arts graduate, finished top of her year, and totally the real deal. Jill also claims to be pitch perfect, and can hear the pitch of rain if she wants to, as when she 1st learnt to play, which was around 3, that is how she was taught to learn music, by ear not notes from a sheet. She has her own YT channel (jill violin channel). She has also done and still does work with other bands, some of them are big names in Japan. When she 1st joined the band they did tend to put her down in the mix when they did studio tracks, but now as the fans love her, they have moved her a bit more to the front. They have also started a side project called "Quadratum From Unlucky Morpheus" which is Jinya, Jill, Ogawa, and Fumiya. They are doing instrumental covers and have an album out. Fuki has said that the violin takes the part of the vocalist. Try a violin cover of EVH's "Eruption". Jill wanted to play violin, because her elder bother was learning at the time, and they are also in a band together. Ogawa (bass) is really a jazz bassist, he is in the band as he was friends with Shiren before he joined, as they where in the same year at music college in Toyko. He was a protégé of Mikio Fujioka, who you may know from Babymetal's Kami band, were in a band called Trick Box, way back in 2008. Jinya (guitar) has his own band called "Carbonic Acid" and also plays in another band called "Undead Corporation". He has also had to do a bit more of the guitar work due to the problem with Shiren. He was found by Fuki, when she was at a concert, with another band she was singing for, and told Shiren he should check him out. Fumiya (drums) Another member that has had a lot of work with other bands over the years inc Galneryus. He also went to the same college as Shiren and Ogawa, but was 2 years below them. they knew of each other there, but did not mix, it was not until after they were introduced to each other, and Shiren's reaction was, that's a lot of drums. There is one more member of the band, who you never really see, as he only appears at some of the live shows in Japan. He is another singer, who used to be in 2 other side projects of Shiren's, one of them also had Fuki as well. That is "Kasumi". Unlucky Morpheus are a totally independent band, and that allows them to have the freedom to do what they want. Black Pentagram is a middle of the road type song for them, they can do heavier and they can do a lot lighter, Death metal style to J-pop-rock and anywhere in between inc. a jazz-metal sound, instrumentals, or really soft songs where the voice is the main instrument. So songs to check out: Heavy: [Official Video] Shiren from Unlucky Morpheus - 「want to LIVE」 (released last year) J-rock/pop: [Official Video] Unlucky Morpheus - 「アマリリス」 (Amaryllis) (There last MV) instrumental: 【Live Cover】Eruption(Van Halen) ~ The Dance of Eternity(Dream Theater) ruclips.net/video/XC2A1hbuLmI/видео.html (if you want to see how good Jill is) A must watch: [ Official Live Video ] Unlucky Morpheus - 「Angreifer」
I thought that the name Shiren sounded familiar, but seeing tenosynovitis made me remember where I saw it before. Is it by chance the same Shiren as the one who used to play in Yousei Teikoku?
There is a live version of this song, Shiren- guitar doesn't play and Jill violin does is his parts. Are you familiar with Eddie Van Halen's solo "Eruption"? Well, Jill on the Violin plays IT! One of the greatest covers you will ever heard.
Subbed when you said City was your favorite A7X album, that CD defined my entire teens But yeah, Unlucky is insane, love them, the drummer Fumiya is a bona fide monster
You already have heard them - they colloborated with Towa on the song U.F.O Another great MV is CADAVER / REDAVAC, actually 2 songs where the second one has all the guitar parts reversed Also, the singer Fuki is quite prolific. Most notably for me she joined with the band Gacharic Spin (well worth a listen too) to form a project named 'Doll$box', with tracks such as 'Take My Chance'
Almost forgot about that one. It's great. Also, the violin gets more screen time in CADAVER / REVADAC. There is a reason why they reverse the song halfway. Something about turning back time (don't know the lyrics and story).
Unlucky Morpheus recently did a cover/their own version of U.F.O from Towa (the vtuber) if you remember they collabed with her and did the music for it. Fuki's vocals were great for it, their cover for it isnt that popular but its definitely worth checking out!
Unlucky Morpheus is DOPE! Wolld-class musicianship and compositional skills in one package :) A question: did you react to Hanabie already? If not, do it! ;)
Unlucky Morpheus is always my favorite band. I recommend you listen to 花咲く春のある限り (Hana saku haru no aru kagiri) and その魂に安らぎを (Sono tamishii ni yasuragi wo), maybe I'm a little biased though because those are my favorites from them. But if you want to hear their original songs since those are covers please listen to albums Change of Generation, Unfinished, evolution, etc!
Oh! Finally, you discovered Unlucky Morpheus. This band is awesome! I love "Black Pentagram" the most. The music video is perfect. But the live video of "Black Pentagram" on their official RUclips channel is much better to me. I love this live video. It has a violin solo instead of one guitar solo and it sounds amazing. You need to watch this version. Thank you for the reaction! More Unlucky Morpheus on the channel!
Very cool!!! One of the guitarists is the who does the “screaming”. Just like other Japanese bands, like Babymetal, Lovebites, Band Maid, Nemophila, if you can, always check out the live versions, are great! The violinist brings a unique touch to Unlucky Morpheus. Enjoy the japanese bands!!!
Their best songs: Angreifer, Phantom Blood. Also there's collab between Fuki (the vocalist of UM) and Syu (guitarist from Galneryus) - Reason. One of my favourite metal songs ever.
I'm soo glad you've finally reacted to Unlucky Morpheus Mr Luke. I would suggest reacting to their "newest" song "アマリリス" 6 months ago.「CADAVER「REVADAC」 is also an amazing song. My personal favourite is "Unending Sorceress". Waffle Gang
Fuki, the vocalist, is just getting better and better! The violinist is Jill, her violin adds the epicness in their song. The guitarist, Shiren, is freaking crazy! You can try to listen to M Revolution by them, in my opinion, less heavy compared to this one, but I absolutely love Jill’s violin in there. ^^
The lead singer Fuki has had a number of bands (at one point was with 3 different ones at once) including ac collaboration with Gacharic Spin. Jill is a beast on the violin, definitely classical symphony soloist level. She does some covers with several other band members under the name Quadrrattum including Eruption by Eddie VanHalen Shiren was with Yousei Teikoku before joining Unlucky Morpheus, he left due to issues with his hands and at times is absent from the band or not playing and just singing/screaming. One of the bands mor einteresting songs is Cadaver / Redevac which is a 2 part song. Redevac is the same melody and solos but played in reverse which took some skilled music writing so it sounds proper in both directions.
You have reacted to a Unlucky Morpheus song before without knowing. Unlucky Morpheus composed the song “U.F.O - You feel overjoyed” sung by the Vtuber Towa
I still think "Angreifer" official live video would make a better first-time listen to Unlucky Morpheus, but my favorite is "CADAVER/REVADAC". From the last album, "The Black Death Mansion Murders" is my favorite song. If you want something more like Wagakki Band, you could try UM's MV for "Takiyasha Hime", which is also amazing. Or maybe "Unending Sorceress"...
Fun fact: Shiren (one of the guitarist - and the one who does the screamo vocals) was briefly one of the Babymetal Kami-band guitarists. There are plenty of Unlucky Morpheus songs that feature the violin more prominently. I think you would like them. On your list of Japanese bands that you have reacted to on this channel, you did not mention Wagakki Band. (On your last Wagakki Band reaction, you stated that you needed to do more Wagakki Band reactions, but it's been about a year since your last one.)
Black Pentagram was the most played song on my Playlist for like 3 consecutive years lol. But yeah if you wanna hear an underground J-metal band that nobody reacts to, listen to Head Phones President - Inside
YOU OF COURSE KNOW THE SONG BY YNGVIE CALLED "FAR BEYOND THE SUN". JILL OF UNLUCKY MORPHEOUS COVERS THAT SONG ON VIOLIN. (1 MV WITH HER BANDMATES CALLED "QUADRATUM" AND 1 MV BY HERSELF ALA "1RSRT TAKE" STYLE.) YNGVIE APPROVED AND MOST EXCELLENT. YNGVIE WAS INSPIRED BY PAGANINI WHEN HE WROTE GUITAR SONGS. JILL HAS WON PAGANINI COMPETITIONS. SOME PEOPLE LIKE JILL'S COVER OF "ERUPTION" BUT "FBTS" IS MY BIG FAVORITE. BTW, YOU CAN SEE FUKI SING WITH GACHARIC SPIN AS THEY ARE THEN CALLED "DOLL$ BOXX". FUKI WAS ALSO WITH "LIGHTBRINGER". THANK YOU FOR YOUR AWESOME CHANNEL!!!
If you wanna hear more japanese indi metal I'd recommend Release Hallucination, especially their song Lovers in Abyss. Their sound also kind of reminds me of this song in a way
You should check out Imperial Circus Dead Decadence if you like this, More specifically their song Uta although it's a bit of a longer one. Or if you want more Unlucky Morpheus check out Angriefer.
I think Welcome to Valhalla is my favorite Unlucky Morpheus song. It sounds like it belongs on a Napalm Records album. EDIT: Also they collaborated with Towa to make U.F.O. and have their own version of the song.
This is one of my favourite Unlucky Morpheus Song, and they are one of my Favourite Touhou Bands! Due to its Melody I prefer Heaped Heart, but they have plenty of really good Stuff!
FUKI is an amazing vocalist with a unique voice. My favorite performance is from her work with DOLL$BOXX, a side project with GACHARIC SPIN: TAKE MY CHANCE (the video is confusing, but it’s a send up of Japan’s peculiar IDOL scene) - ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html
UM are an awesome band and all top notch musicians. Jill on violin is mind-blowing in other songs or live. Should check out "dignity of spirit" live or "the black death mansion murders" film clip
Opening suggestions: 1. Ergo Proxy, 'Kiri' by Monoral 2.World's Finest Assassin, 'Dark Seeks Light' by Yui Ninomiya OST suggestion: 1. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, 'Grace Omega Jinroh Main Theme' by Hajime Mizoguchi Cover suggestion: 1. 'Los! Los! Los!' by Selphius
Hehe, this isn't your first time hearing Unlucky Morpheus. They also made U.F.O. with Towa! You could also have run into them with Touhou music, they've done a number of songs over in that rabbit hole too. Not sure how many music videos there are to be found though.
Japan has had great metal for years. I think they have a much more diverse ecosystem of music now. US has leaned very rap, sad boy, and pop for the last 10 years. Now. Ill be honest, i have no idea whats on the billboard top 100 right now, this is all just based off what I've seen
You should check out the live cover of Eruption/Dance of Eternity on their youtube page from 2021. A good way to appreciate how good of instrumentalists they are lol.
Day 143 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
Day 73 of requesting a reaction to the following openings: Chivalry of a Failed Knight op Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress op Kiznaiver op You could make a multiple op reaction for this. Thank you!
Angreifer and Dignity of spirit was a lot better live than Black pentagram was imo. Like black pentagram mv gives you the full force if the instruments and works as that entry point to get you into UM
Personally I like the MV over the live, for 1st time reactors. The only reason for that is the explosive start, which you do not get in the live. But if your a fan of theirs then your used to it, so the live is better, as Jill stands out that bit more 😁 and you get see how well they work together/get along with each other.
WELL THEY ARE AWESOME!!!

Really does sound awesome!!
Finally!!! More Unlucky Morpheus reactions please 🤘
I have been waiting so long for this! Finally! One of my favorite bands. Thanks Luke! You are in for a treat if you keep checking out their music. TBH I don't think they have a single bad song.
Unlucky Morpheus is such an amazing band, and if I recall correctly I think they did some Touhou covers in the past.
im so happy you're finally checking out unlucky morpheus, i recommend you to do a reaction for angreifer live version.
You've finally found my favourite band of all time! Any and everything by them is amazing. Personal favourite is The tower of blood though.
Forgot to mention their Quadratum unit consisting of their drummer, bass, violinist and one of the guitarists, doing some insane covers of other great songs, also Unlucky Morpheus can do some nice slower paced accoustic songs such as Hyakki Hikou. There's an official live version of this from about a year ago that I highly recommend checking out, even if it's just for your own enjoyment. Jill gets to do a violin solo :D
Oh yeah? Would happily check it out 💯💯
Yes! Unlucky Morpheus! Finally! I knew you you would love them. How about 'Knight of Sword' for your next UM reaction song?
The vocalist Fuki writes the lyrics. She said this song was inspired by the short shoujo manga called The Witch Medea by Miuchi Suzue

I never thought this day would come. I used to pray for times like these
Check out Quadratum instrumental quartet of Unlucky Morpheus. You will be mind blowned by Jill's violin playing
Didn't expect Unlucky Morepheus, good to see.

About time we're doing Unlucky morpheus songs. Dignity of crest live is a must hear banger!! Also Shiren the guitarist should be doing the screamos
You have now met one the greatest - FUKI on vocals! :)
Damn, that's metal as hell. Nice.
This band is amazing, one of my favorites, no doubt!
Will just leave this here :)
Knight of the Sword
Top of the M
Unending Sorceress
FUKI is an amazing vocalist with a unique voice. My favorite performance is from her work with DOLL$BOXX, a side project with GACHARIC SPIN: TAKE MY CHANCE (the video is confusing, but it’s a send up of Japan’s peculiar IDOL scene) - ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html
my fav reactor reacts to my fav band. love it.
🔥🔥🔥
Jealousy of Silence is also a great Unlucky Morpheus song
UM are an awesome band and all top notch musicians. Jill on violin is mind-blowing in other songs or live.
Should check out "dignity of spirit" live or "the black death mansion murders" film clip
Opening suggestions:
1. Ergo Proxy, 'Kiri' by Monoral
2.World's Finest Assassin, 'Dark Seeks Light' by Yui Ninomiya
OST suggestion:
1. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, 'Grace Omega Jinroh Main Theme' by Hajime Mizoguchi
Cover suggestion:
1. 'Los!
This song is good yes but you should try Angreifer too it's 7 minutes and is heavy on guitar and violin andd especially Fuki's voice
If we're hopping on the metal side, Angriefer by the same group or maybe Imperial Circus Decadence - Uta
how about some "pentakill tear of the goddess"
Please react to the full version of "Hoseki no Kuni" opening
Japan has had great metal for years. I think they have a much more diverse ecosystem of music now. US has leaned very rap, sad boy, and pop for the last 10 years.
Now. Ill be honest, i have no idea whats on the billboard top 100 right now, this is all just based off what I've seen
You should check out the live cover of Eruption/Dance of Eternity on their youtube page from 2021. A good way to appreciate how good of instrumentalists they are lol.
They started covering Touhou songs, btw
I recomend (soko ni naru/
te no hira de odoru)!
If you like violin and metal.. check the new band that formed in August this year. East of Eden
This somg has mad Future Diary vibes
Spirit box holy roller
If you want to hear females doing screaming in jrock/jpop PassCode idol group may be good choice. Their songs Taking you out and Tonight are amazing.
Day 73 of requesting a reaction to the following openings:
Chivalry of a Failed Knight op
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress op
Kiznaiver op
You could make a multiple op reaction for this. Thank you!
I would like you to react to Unbalance, Jealous Train, Escalation, Kuchibiru no Privacy or Control by Naoko Kawai.
Don't forget, don't pause during a guitar solo
Finally Ankimo easiest starting of course Black Pentagram & am afraid Maximum The Hormone will come next🤭
Could you please react to The Fat Electrician U.S.S Texas and look up any song by Stupendium?
Vivinos's alien stage music videos pls ❤
Do passcode
bruuuh why not live version... their live stuff is so much better, next time try something live, maybe Angreifer or Dignity of Spirit
