I love this band. Their talent is undeniable. For me, Miku is the heart of this band and honestly the most talented overall. The band would not exist, but for her vision. She plays Rythm guitar, sings, writes the lyrics, designs the costumes, does the promotion and is just a wonderful spirt on and off stage. Can't wait to see them again live!
MISA (bass) and Akane (drums) went to music school together (and played as back up musicians for other acts now and then). Kanami was a solo performer on acoustic guitar and used Akane when she needed a drummer. When Miku searched for a guitar player to start a hard rock band, Kanami was one of the first she came across online. Once they agreed to start a band, Kanami brought Akane in, then Akane brought MISA in. Vocalist Saiki came a month or so later when Miku realized she could not be the main vocalist. Never picked up a guitar until Saiki came in, but Kanami has been instructing Miku since the early days of the band and she has come a long way as a rythm guitarist since those early days.
Don't forget about Miku. While not the virtuosic instrumentalist the others are (yet!), she has become pretty solid as a rhythm guitarist. In this mix her guitar is panned hard left (opposite Kanami on the right) and you can really hear that she is always there holding down the base cords for the song allowing the others to do their instrumental gymnastics. The whole band just keeps getting better and better but Miku has stolen my heart with how far she has traveled.
Yep. Freedom live next. Not only a great drum solo but you can see how much bloody fun they're having. Kanami on lead just shreds that PRS and is the main songwriter. Miku on rhythm is the founder and lyricist. Akane drums and Misa bass are an exceptionally talented rhythm unit. Saiki is the vocalist and is brilliant.
THERE YOU GO!!! Freedom live is a good suggestion esp if you want to see how to have FUN on stage Check out Puzzle, the fast and the acoustic versions transmit different emotions
"Right click -> Loop" solves the length problem of the song. :P Others are recommending "Freedom", a great choice. "Play" is my personal favourite. And since Saki was taking a break you could go for "Wonderland", a very vocals-heavy song. All three from the same live concert (Band-Maid / Line Cube Shibuya 14 Feb 2020) as "Domination", Play (21st) was the song before Domination (22nd) on that show, Freedom was 6th, Wonderland was 17th.
A song created to give the singer Saiki a bit of rest. And look what they came up with. Band-Maid just never do anything half-a$$ed. Quality through and through. Every time 🤘 A lot of the commenters will recommend Freedom Live. I Agree ;)
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". I believe the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) FYI, here is the correlation, that I know, among bands you mentioned. [note : BM : BABYMETAL, B-M : Band-Maid] ◆ Akane (B-M) and Haruna (Lb) are good friends as drummers ◆ B-M and Kami Band in the BM's back are good friends ◆ Midori (Lb) and Kanami (B-M) attended the funeral for Mikio (Kami's guitarist) and left their messages of condolence that were full of respect to the deceased virtuoso (RIP). ◆ Midori and BOH (Kami's bassist) are good friends. ◆ BOH is a follower of Twitter of Misa (B-M). ◆ Saki (Nemophila guitarist) is a big fan of BM. ◆ Wasabi (WB drummer) has recently covered his favorite song BM's "Megitsune". Uh oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
I was just going to watrch some of that Jubilee concert...but then I got a notification that you were reacting to this amazing instrumental from the queens of Rock so that's gone out of the window! There's a superb bass solo in Band-Maid's live version of 'No God' from last years' online concert - ruclips.net/video/nAdWnIRjGak/видео.html
You want a Bass solo? You found the right band!! Misa is The Barefoot Assassin!! She will break your face in every song, and the bass is prominent in every song!
You have to look at Ningen Isu. Also a band that looks completely opposite to what they sound like. They are like BM, tons of songs and they have been playing for 30+ years. They are definitely worth checking out.
A give away? So nice if you. For bass solo, do the manners / black hole double feature. The start of Manners is a funky groovy bass vs drums. I am sure you love that.
Like plenty of people are commenting, the official live version of "Freedom" is must watch when it comes to Band-Maid. If you want good solos, I'd also highly recommend Babymetal's "Rondo of Nightmare" live @ Budokan Black Night
I love your reaction! Next, request the "puzzle" of BAND-MAID. There are live rock and acoustic versions, so I want you to watch both. I hope you will have the best reaction.
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?!
Great react again dude. This performance is simply and absolutely Amazing! Pure talent on stage that leaves no one indifferent. They are amazing! See You in the next 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
'One of the most mind blowingly talented performers in a band' - Agreed! Band Maid is amazing! ♥ They go straight from MISA's great bass solo to Kanami's Van Halen-esque solo. Then Miku gets her moment to shine finally with Akane's mini drum solo. You gotta check out the following Band Maid songs: Bubble, Dice, Manners & No God
Band Maid is the only Japanese rock/metal band that does instrumental songs that I am aware of. I discovered them thanks to Blackpink in 2017. The first version of "Onset" I heard did not have a Mike solo. This and a number of other songs are the same, the songs track Miku's development as a legitimate rhythm guitarist. Trivia; Kanami (composer, lead guitar) has degrees in Economics and Marketing, I assume she has them in case this music thing doesn't workout!!! Next; "Catharsis" acoustic, yet another side of them that is unique.
This was from a concert in 2018 at Zepp Tokyo, a venue that closed at the beginning of 2022. "Onset" and "Real Existence" from their channel are both from the same show. This is one of my favorite instrumentals from anyone. The energy never wanes thanks to Akane's steady beat, Kanami is making that guitar sing, MISA is being her usual fantastic self, and Kobato is chunking away with those chords. The backing track is brief and tastefully used, all of the solos are short but sweet, and after the solos are done, they all reunite and finish strong. Brilliant composition. Speaking of Japanese heavy metal bands, there's one that you still need to see. They're a six-piece called Unlucky Morpheus that calls themselves "technical melodic speed metal." Any song of theirs is a good one to start with, but I'm going to recommend by favorite, "Unending Sorceress." Here's the link. ruclips.net/video/PCv3s0T4bx0/видео.html
Another great reaction! You won’t be disappointed with those Japanese bands you know now. There are many more great songs. Yes, also try "Hanabie" and give "Unlucky Morpheus" a chance as well! You’ll love them, too!🤘
Absolutely. It’s unfair how much talent they have. 3 of the best instrumentalists and one of the best vocalists in the world joined the most energetic personality in the world with impressive vocals and instrumentation in her own right, all just so happen to be Japanese, ladies, and just naturally came together in one single band and had enough of a sense of humor to dress as maids of all things. And no egos to boot. That doesn’t happen. That’s not how odds work. This is once in a lifetime type of thing.
Band Maid is the best rock band in the world. These five incredibly talented women are angels sent to help us all. Any Band Maid song is good for the soul. Plus they kick ass!!!
One thing... Band Maid never will disappointing you I promise 🙂 Second thing some other Japanese band Sokoninaru, Maximum the hormone, Gatcharic Spin They are just insanely goooooood But Band-Maid Domination the world 😉
I love your energy..makes me smile. Great reaction to an amazing song...next one try something new, Black Hole Live will blow your mind...and Hanabie ''we love sweets'' gotta do it!
4 minutes of pure talent and joy, as with every song from the ladies. What more could you want? 🔥🤘🏻 And yes, all of them, without exception, are pure diamonds and together make up perhaps the biggest treasure the music world has nowadays. ___________________ 「 _"完璧なんてありえない" / Perfection? The beauty of BAND-MAID is that any of us could recommend pretty much any of their other songs and you're going to freaking love it. The group just does not miss. I'm lucky to be able to see them in October.
If anyone knows anything about bands you'll know how precarious a bands existence is from start to finish, from finding members oh who also have talent, ability and similar sense of direction, getting the internal chemistry right and keeping it right, then compose and arrange songs (that punters want to hear for the life of the band), translate that into live performances, pay your dues in the rock and roll trenches, get the interest of the industry corporate suits and also battle those f*ckers, keep the band together while trying to earn a living off your music and increase your fan base while developing and progressing in your music etc, etc, oh and try and avoid all the Motely Crue- esque style bullsh*t and keep that up year after year. Band Maid is the real deal , they have worked hard at the grind and are closer to their World Domination. Like you I too love this band, they have impassioned Madiacs everywhere . Viva the Maids peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎸🎤🍻
I wish EDDIE VAN HALEN could see his 5150 AMP standing tall on stage as these lovely maids’ shred!!!! Hope to see them live in 2022 rocking CALIFORNIA!!!!! A certain MR EDDIE VAN HALEN would be impressed with KANAMI'S tapping technique. MISA, MISA, MISA, The barefoot assassin on bass.
back in 2017 Saiki had surgery on her throat for polops on her vocal chords, so because they play nearly 2 hr concerts, they take a break about half way thru to give Saiki a break on her voice, they needed to develop a few instrumentals to do during her break
Sooo many MISA bass solo's out there you have yet to discover. And *YES* to 'Play'. You're gonna love that one. Excellent instrumental opening. Hanabie (Hah-Nah-Bee-Ay) is one of my favorite up and coming bands. Absolutely check them out. Harajukucore! You are not ready. . .
It's about damn time you got back to my lovely and uber-talented maids!! No band gives me chills like they do, no matter how often I hear them. I can't wait to see them live in Chicago November 1st! I recommend the official live video for "Freedom", it was the video that made me a Maidiac and confirmed my love of Akane. "Puzzle" is a great song as well, but I could say that about any track you pick.
Looks like the other Maidiacs have recommended a ton of great suggestions. (Of course, you could pick ANYTHING by the Maids and be good to go!) So, I'll throw in another couple of bands ylu may lke. Sokoninaru with their song "Tenohira De Odoru" (mv) and Asterism with their song "Dawn" (live). Both of these bands, like Band-Maid, are mind-bendingly awesome. Thanks much, G.O.T.! 🕊
You've only done 3 songs. You have about another 97 to go. But you have to tell us what you like for us to suggest the next song. Do you like Power Pop? Jazz, Punk, Funk, Metal? Traditional? Soft Rock Ballads? I'll agree that 'Freedom' LIVE has a great drum solo, really the only drum solo, but 'Real Existence' LIVE is more exciting. However, if you're into Metal there are a few Metal influenced BAND-MAID songs to choose from, like 'Different' or 'Black Hole', but 'Rinne' is probably the heaviest, most Metal of all BAND-MAID songs. It's practically Thrash Metal.
As other have said, Freedom (Live) is a must for the sheer joy of their performance, but strangely I don't see many recommendations for Manners & Black Hole yet, a double feature that perfectly captures two sides of the Band-Maid spectrum. Both phenomenal songs and based on your reactions so far it's safe to say your mind will be blown all over again.
For another instrumental, next is Don't Be Long @ the Dallas concert. I consider this song as Kobato Miku's guitar recital. :D Tono Kanami wrote the song for Kobato to practice on.
For a Band-Maid song with a drum solo there is the live video of "Freedom". There is a Y.T.channel called The Drum Guy who has spotlight videos on both of the drummers from Band-Maid and Lovebites. As far as I can tell, Lovebites is still looking for a new bassist. I've been trying to give you an example of a female bassist from India who I find even more impressive, but either the comment gets deleted because I try to give you the link, or my comment is too late. See a video of her at a U.S. musical trade show : " Mohini Dey killin' it at the SIT booth, 2019 NAMM - RUclips "
LOVEBITES have stopped taking auditions for a new bass guitarist, but phase two of the audition process is set to take place in Tokyo in the middle of July. Phase three is set to take place in Tokyo in the middle of August.
Another mind blowing band to check out is The Warning. They are three sisters from Mexico (ages 17-22) who are releasing their third album. Check them out!
A REALLY FUN TREAT FOR MAIDIACS IS, "MIKU'S MAGIC SPELL TIME". MIKU DOES A MAID CAFE PERFORMANCE OF A BLESSING. (MAIDS COME TO YOUR TABLE AND BLESS YOUR FOOD AND YOU JOIN IN WITH THE FUN). BAND-MAID CALLS THEIR CONCERTS SERVICES. MIKU WILL LEAD THE CROWD IN A WILD CHANTING OF A BLESSING FOR EVERYONE. THE FANS GO WILD FOR MIKU. THERE IS INTERACTION TIME, AND THE BAND JOKES AND LAUGHS. THE ADORATION IS BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN FANSAND THE BAND.
Isn't it a dilemma when you want to air-Guitar, air-Drum, and sing at the SAME TIME with these girls of Band Maid? Decisions, decisions, decisions! I need more arms!
Awesome reaction! Indeed "Freedom" is the next logical step. I think you are ready. Ever heard of Doll$boxxx? It is a collaboration of two bands (just like Temple Of The Dog) Anyway try "Take My Chance" for starters and then "Fragrance" Keep expanding your mind! Only good things will come from it.
Great reaction!! Please react to BAND-MAID's Don't You Tell Me live since you love bass solos.. Hanabie, pronounced Ha-na-bee-eh and I think you would enjoy Trident, all-female Japanese as well.
Are you now realising that "World Domination" wasn't just a throwaway catchy tagline? Could civilisation continue if everyone was as deep as us into Band-Maid? Let's hope we get to try it!
Please listen to Danna Paola songs, I'm sure you will like it, her voice is amazing. She is a Mexican singer, actor and songwriter, also receiving a Latin Grammy nomination for his album K.O. (Knock Out). If you want to listen, I recommend Dos Extraños and Amor Ordinario live version✨
They really are something else!
Check out Ningen Isu - Namahage. You won’t be disappointed.
Please react on "aye mere watan ke logo" by Lata Mangeshkar
I love this band. Their talent is undeniable. For me, Miku is the heart of this band and honestly the most talented overall. The band would not exist, but for her vision. She plays Rythm guitar, sings, writes the lyrics, designs the costumes, does the promotion and is just a wonderful spirt on and off stage. Can't wait to see them again live!
Completely agree! Their talent is absolutely mind blowing!

Absolutely!😁
And of course she writes great lyrics and founded the band in the first place! She is the hero of all, pigeons and humans.
Miku is better than most rhythm guitarists in my opinion.
Completely agree!! ❤️🤘
@@GOTGames Yes...and no MIKU, no BAND MAID
Bragging rights: I will see Band-Maid three times in one week in October! I cannot wait!! Thanks for the reaction! You’re awesome!
Only got tickets to one show, but looking forward to it.
That's not bragging Muzicman, that's just greedy....& i love it.😁👌
A week you will remember forever po!!!!
so grateful to get one show in Philly

They're not coming to Europe anytime soon. :,(

definetely for Bass Player. But also Manners & Black Hole
I also suggest to hear bandmaid puzzle acoustic version - officially not available on YT but worth to hear even if its a little bit different ;)

Nice reaction. Band maid freedom next. Great drum solo by Akane
Please do Giovanni and then the instrumental for Giovanni right after that in the same reaction video....
back in 2017 Saiki had surgery on her throat for polops on her vocal chords, so because they play nearly 2 hr concerts, they take a break about half way thru to give Saiki a break on her voice, they needed to develop a few instrumentals to do during her break
You are not ready. . .
If this band come out in the 80s they will be very big all over the world
It's about damn time you got back to my lovely and uber-talented maids!!
Lisa-X Band - "Looking up to you" or Hagane - "Wintry sky" please...
They are absolutely awesome
You sound like me when I first discovered them. Absolutely blew my mind when i heard this song.
Miku wears a red rose, Saiki wears blue.
These five girls rock harder than you. *\m/*
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃
Check out the double song video "Manners & Black Hole". Totally Bass dominated. So awesome.
In case it's not mentioned, try "Blooming" MV. The song was featured in the Netflix movie "Kate" where Band-Maid played themselves.
Yes, Hanabie will become your new favorite once you listen. We Love Sweets, will blow your mind.
I would love to to see his reaction to " Broken by the Scream", those never get old. lol
For another instrumental, next is Don't Be Long @ the Dallas concert. I consider this song as Kobato Miku's guitar recital. :D Tono Kanami wrote the song for Kobato to practice on.
I will recommend again for mind blowing, hanabie (we love sweets), maximum the hormone (A.L.I.E.N)
I also recommend Unlucky Morpheus with the song Angreifer (live) and Gacharic Spin with Mindset (MV) if you want some more awesome music from Japan :)
I have VIP tickets for Phoenix cant wait!
4:45 Slap while holding the pick
7:11 Songs to be played during vocal breaks
I would love to see you're reaction freedom and dice
Toshishun by Ningen Isu has English subtitles ruclips.net/video/tKSjWKDSBmo/видео.html
@@PaleHorseShabuShabu Thanks.
Another mind blowing band to check out is The Warning. They are three sisters from Mexico (ages 17-22) who are releasing their third album. Check them out!
Man I love your reactions 🤘
You still need to check out 'bloodywood', hard-core Indian folk metal.
Also 'girash and the chronicles' Indian hair metal
ZOOOOOINNNNNNNKKKKKSSSSS!!
if you not checked out PLAY live i highly recommend it ( cheers)
Awesome reaction!
Indeed "Freedom" is the next logical step. I think you are ready.
Ever heard of Doll$boxxx? It is a collaboration of two bands (just like Temple Of The Dog) Anyway try "Take My Chance" for starters and then "Fragrance"
Keep expanding your mind! Only good things will come from it.
They are great!! If you like bass players check out Scardust and the song "Gone"
I recommend Celtic Women. Amazing Grace is so beautiful.
Welcome to Band-maid universe's
Please listen to Danna Paola songs, I'm sure you will like it, her voice is amazing. She is a Mexican singer, actor and songwriter, also receiving a Latin Grammy nomination for his album K.O. (Knock Out). If you want to listen, I recommend Dos Extraños and Amor Ordinario live version✨
Excellent blanket on your bed! I love horror!
