Whilst I appreciate Eddie is a consummate salesman, his polite treatment of others really is a joy to see.
"We try and steer gentlemen towards discretion over flamboyance," said the discerning Mr Pendry, politely ignoring Kirby's bright yellow tie. 😁 A wonderful episode!
lol
@@kirbyallison I thought the yellow tire was the perfect American accent to the suit. Love the fedora as well!
As a Georgia Tech guy, I’ve always had a number of yellow/gold ties. Not that my current work attire of gym short and t-shirts at home requires a tie! 🤣
A pop of assent colour on accessories is very discreet.
I had the pleasure of meeting Simon Cundey two weeks ago at Henry Poole while I was visiting London for the first time with my family. It was a spontaneous pop in and we discussed how your videos led me to his establishment. Simon was very pleasant even when he knew I wasn't in the market for a bespoke suit. Seeing the cutters at work behind Simon's desk and appreciating the history behind Henry Poole was such a highlight. I even posed for a pic with Simon. Thanks Kirby for all you do.
It’s an incredible place! Hallowed halls for sure. Glad you popped in!
I know that many of us that watch these videos will probably never get to the level of been able to afford a bespoke suit, nevertheless I have learned so much and truly enjoy and appreciate the work that goes into making a garment like this. There has to be a different feeling of watching your suit been made by hand and the connection to the people that take the time to make sure it is perfect. And also, to know that there is only one like it in the world. I am grateful for mass manufacturing, but the unintended consequences are the disconnect much like the farm and the dinner plate - We lose that human connection. Thanks, Kirby, for the work that you do.
Thank you for sharing!
I may never get a bespoke suit, but the process is fascinating! Eddie is a class act.
Very encouraging to see craftsman still passionately exist.
Such a pleasure to see the skilled artisans at work
I could watch Kirby and Eddie all day. Thank you both. 👌🙌👏
What a beautiful gift from one true gent to another, the Davidoff green is a genius touch of class too. Stunning.
It’s actually Henry Poole’s house color as well! Really beautiful color.
Absolutely
@@kirbyallisonI was going to comment how beautiful that green is, really nice!
I have to say, Kirby, you do a wonderful job of making London look beautiful.
Kirby,
Thank you for granting us the opportunity to join you and the wonderful team at Henry Poole in the creation of Eddie's first bespoke suit. Observing the process and benefiting from Thomas's insightful explanations has been truly enlightening.
Tom is superb. I love his advice, and his skills, as shown here, are exemplary.
This has been one of the best of your recent videos and I really appreciate that Kirby interjected a little less than in the last episode, so we could see more of the master tailor - client relationship.
Eddie was on point with one suggestion: Can we see a follow up episode with Tom and Eddie on post delivery suit care. Simon at permanent style did something like this a few years ago which was very good but I think another angle would be rather useful. Excellent series Kirby!
I was really happy we were able to get so much of Tom's time for this video!
That suit, waistcoat and hat combination looks great. Especially like the contrasting waistcoat!
Totally agree. Kirby looks exquisite in this video
I did not think grey and green could meld so well together. Fantastic piece end to end. Also Kirby, the production for this series has been very nice (might just be because of Eddie's presence, he seems to light up your videos every time). Thanks for the video and keep up the nice work.
Truly a beautiful combination!
I just realized that Eddie is wearing a moon swatch
Well, they *are* harder to get hold of than an Omega Moon Watch.
@@nickthompson7743but they are cheap though. Mass public will flock to the swatch than omega.
I’ve been tempted to pull the trigger on one myself but heard they break easy 😢
@@davidbalderas4376 it’s plastic.
@@1911FanBoi yea I saw it and I thought “this can’t be plastic,” it’s a shame that the pushers of the chrono break because otherwise it’s a great looking “Omega,” for not being priced as a Omega.
thanks for this, I love the focus on the craft itself, rather than chitchat. these videos will become an important historical document in😊 so far as they would capture these overlooked yet precious craftsmen and women.
it's an honor to document a craft for which I have so much respect!
The suit Kirby wears in this episode is fantastic. I aspire.
I really enjoy that Kirby can take us all on this journey. It might be for the few that are capable and able to have this life style, but I'm sure we all can enjoy the fact of the craftmanship that is shown and up most pride in there work, and that enjoyment that Eddie is having from this to.
Excellent addition of the cigar pocket. Having a couple of the "Boss's favourite" about your person is a comforting thing.
This tailor articulates how bespoke compares to ready to wear effortlessly, amazing work
Couldn't agree more!
Eddie looks absolutly classy in this suit!
And big respect to Tom, he is very mindful and thinks a lot of his clients, eyecontact on every question and answers.
I really like how Mr Pendry explains what they are trying to do in the construction of the suit, and what he is looking for in fitting the suit to Eddie . That’s really valuable for this kind of video.
We really captured magic with Tom!
As ever a fabulous video, Eddie and yourself are wonderful to watch in how you interact, the last 5 minutes were actually quite extraordinary watching these master craftsmen at work...we need though another cigar episode with the three of you!
Great video with Eddie, as always. Love how Pendry explains everything so well. The final shots behind the scenes of the suit being sewn was a fantastic ending
Couldn't agree more! Thanks!
Beautiful suit in the making
Eddie is such a gentleman.
A masterclass by Sir Tom Pendry - Henry Poole, greetings from Brazil.
What a wonderful friendship, what kind and wonderful people.
Thank you for sharing this with us, Mr. Allison.
What an amazing gift to give to a good friend!
Truly a wonderful and lucky man Eddie is. This suit will be amazing when said and done!
I will never be able to experience a bespoke suit but I love living the experience through you. Cheers.
I gotta say, the background music in Kirby's videos is impeccable
The studio does a superb choice choosing music... and it isn't easy because it requires them to listen to all of tracks available to us in our library and then match it to the tempo of the piece. Seemingly simple but incredible time-consuming in practice.
Kirby, perhaps we could have some instruction from Eddie on how to construct such impressive tie knots. Ive never once seen one of his rather impressive tie knots even slightly out of place. In an age of the scruffy 'formal shirt and no tie style' in which collars end up all over the place I'm sure it wouldn't go amiss. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.
yep! Many men at my office now wear the modern oxford shirt with the top TWO buttons undone :O
I remember a comment thread on one of the earlier Eddie videos where Kirby said he tried to get him to go for a more elegant knot but it's just the knot he learned from his father, so no chance.
In my opinion a classic four in hand would be better but I can understand that Eddie is a man of honouring traditions.
The expression of pure joy on Eddie’s face,As he tries his jacket on is priceless.
Back in the 70s I worked at a Taylor’s, But never got to see the customer trying his suit on. That was something only the boss got to see.
loving this series. I always enjoy Eddies character.
Great video… loved the ending sequence walking up the street…”Life couldn’t get any better”…. Eddie’s very appreciative
I swear the filming/production gets better with every drop
Our studio really outdoes themselves with every video!
@@kirbyallison They certainly do!
Would love to learn more about Eddie's life (what he enjoys doing outside of work) - food, cars, travel, sports, etc.
We need a day in the life of Eddie Sahakian!
I can tell you: He likes to smoke Davidoff Cigars, he likes to smell Davidoff Cigars, and he likes to SELL Davidoff Cigars. CIGARS, Cigars, cigars... basically Eddie summed up 🤷🤣...
The best bespoke suit series you've done yet. Wonderful insight of the process involved and the construction. Mr. Pendry is a true craftsman indeed!
Will there be a final fitting and delivery? Really looking forward to seeing this one finished with cigar in pocket.
The scene at the beginning with Edward Sahakian waving like a proud father saying have fun boy's to his two kids with a cigar in the mouth absolutely wholesome 😁😁
Thoroughly enjoyable, most interesting, and lovely video production. Of course, anything featuring either Eddie and/or his father is inspiring. Well done, sir.
Very eager to see the finale, it’s looking incredible already, also lovely single Albert chain Kirby
This was a fun watch. What a privilege to watch this process at an esteemed house. I'm sure the final product will be perfect. Kudos to Kirby for treating his good friend....and all of us in the process!
I'm already looking to celebrating in style with Eddie when the suit is finished! However, it won't be "complete" until we christen it with some ash... :)
Somehow it has worked out that the last couple of videos in this series have dropped just before I start my drive to Los Angeles for my bespoke suit fittings. Good inspiration.
Such a nice friendship, classic taste and mutual kindness. Very comforting to watch this series
Kirby you're amazing but thank you for not having your two cents for every step of the process in this video. Keep em coming!
Incredible video as always. Thanks Kirby and co.
So happy for Eddie!
Absolutely fantastic
Wonderful work, Kirby.
You hit the proverbial jack pot with this video, Kirby. Wow!
Haha. .Thank you!
I can't wait to see the finished suit.
That vest is so sharp. Love it!!
Definition of bromance right there
Great video Kirby and watching thiese videos is a testament to the friendship that you have built up with Edward and Eddie Sahakian, as well as Nick & Max Foulkes, as well as showcasing the importance of why bespoke garments and items are more of a lifetime investment and not an expensive commodity.
One thing that I find though is that I also find a feeling of inner disappointment because I used to wear nice suits, shirts, etc, when in my 20's and always enjoyed the more classic forms of attire, but over the years through battles with mental health, I seemed to have 'let myself go' a little and don't have that same 'get up and go' that I used to have.
Watching these videos though is giving me a form of encouragement to try and get back into the good dressing habits again and to try and find away to find that 'get up and go' fight in me again and to get back to wearing the finer clothes and shoes again.
I already enjoy fine handrolled cigars and so, that's always a good thing, but the one thing is missing is having friends that help to 'raise me up' in times when I'm down and I think that is something that a vast number of people are missing nowadays.
Have a great day Kirby and I know that you're from Texas and so, if you get the chance, stop by and visit Underground Cigar Shop in Fort Worth, Texas, I have a feeling you will enjoy the glorious cigars they have on offer, (Recommended to me by a good friend who lives in Texas also).
At 10:43, Eddie brings up a great comment, which is how does one take care of the suit. I believe that it would be a great video to share that as well.
I might have some opinions on that... first, a proper hanger from KirbyAllison.com. And a garment bag.
Fantastic Report....What a great video!!!!!! Congratulation!!!
Wonderful video and Eddie is a true gentlemen
Another impeccably produced segment. Thanks Kirby.
Thanks!
I have no idea why I like watching this.
Great choice in suit color, fabric and style
Shuuuuuuweeee!!!! Lookin’ Sharp Eddie😎
Absolutely amazing, can’t wait to see it finished 👍🏻👌🏻❤️🇬🇧
Thank you! Cheers!
@@kirbyallison You’re welcome mate ☺️
I absolutely love this series, and I was so thrilled to see this newest episode pop up last night. Eddie is wonderful as always, and Tom does a great job of explaining the Henry Poole method without any condescension towards 'louder' preferences in style. Regarding the last montage (showing the work being done on Eddie's jacket), I wonder if the gentleman is an apprentice? In a previous episode, Simon briefly mentioned that he has worked in several positions/aspects of the garment industry, and I am curious what step that would be in the trade. I also want to say how great the production has been on these episodes - the filming, the music, the flow of the scenes are all well done. Thank you for such a great series!
Great video as always...and I'll be bookmarking the Rolls Royce commissioning video if that happens! Possibly the ultimate bespoke item anyone could purchase!
Can someone please email Rolls Royce and suggest the idea to them!!! 🙏
Amazing
I've been eagerly awaiting this second fitting. I was curious, it may have been mentioned already, but I was wondering what is the actual time frame from start to finish for a bespoke garment such as a suit?
I, like Eddie, am in complete awe and amazement of the talent and skill that goes into the designing and the bringing to life of such an incredible and beautiful suit.
Thank you so much for posting this series!
Simon would say that a bespoke suit takes anywhere between 60 and 80 hours of work to finish a bespoke suit. With fittings, how long the process takes really depends on the availability of the customer for fittings. If the customer is in London or London often, the entire process could take anywhere from four to six months. If you are meeting with Poole only at one of their abroad trunk shows, it could take six to twelve months.
@@kirbyallisonI’ve reach out to Poole & Co to hopefully meet them in Atlanta later this year to start the process of getting my own bespoke suit based on your videos with them.
I have 2 saville row bespoke suits and they genuinely do feel completely different to any other clothing, they feel as though you are wearing nothing as they allow free movement and there is no pressure or tightness on the body, my only regret is I didn’t opt for high waisted trousers, I bowed to the pressure of low waisted style and I wish I didn’t opt for side tabs as with bespoke you genuinely don’t need them
Oh my gosh, Kirby, you look perfect.
Eddie is my guy!! 🤝🏻
Well done, nice production values, really interesting.
The hand work at the end!! 👩🏼🍳’s 😘
Great video, the music on the montage was excellent!
Much appreciated!
Thanks for an enjoyable video. Suggestion for the final video… perhaps a comparison of Eddie in one of his existing suits and wearing his new bespoke suit to show off the fit and drape. Keep up the good work.
I think we'll let the work speak for itself when we are done! 😎
I really like Eddie here - hope in future there is a show him getting shoes and shirt.
It’s totally fine to like before watching
🙏🙏 Don’t forget to share it on Facebook! 😅
Hello Kirby, thank you for the wonderful content. Seeing the joy on Eddie's face throughout the process is a gift indeed. Do the tailors on the Row have a consensus on surgeon's cuffs? Thread color always matching? Undo one button or are those options escewed in favor of more discretion?
Yeay i love seeing eddy so happy. Im still waiting for the cuban Vlogsssss. Plzz lol
I look forward to seeing you again in tokyo,Mr.pendry
He's the best!
👏nice kirby
This guys lapels are wavey!
I hope Kirby will sell a Henry Poole green tie, or cufflinks or both, that is a beautiful color
Like the colour, I've been waiting for this a long time. Did you wear a pocket watch or only the chain?
That ending...
It would have been useful to see how the trousers fitted. How they look front and back. Any adjustments needed. Braces(suspenders) adjustment Length etc etc etc. It is always a such a big part of the Kent & Haste videos. Completely skipped over ??
Magnificient Mate...Kirby...now when is the final fitting..
What a wonderful video. Tom is the ultra professional!
Yeah, that's how you buy a suit!
The final version must be ready, right?? 🕰️
Kirby this should be at least an hour long. I just saw 32 minutes and thought hmmmmpffff !!!
Haha… 😅 We burden our editors enough… proper television series don’t publish twice a week, 52-weeks a year…
Eddie is a gentleman
I'll be in London in September and will enjoy having a stoggi with Eddie
If you're anywhere near St James Kirby , I'll treat you to a martini at Dukes .
I’m around sometime in September. Just haven’t booked dates yet.
Hello 👋 I’m French,I like your videos.
Glad you like them! Thanks!
Ive been waiting so long for this🙂
Why the fuck did I just watch all of this video without getting bored ?
😅 Thanks for watching! Now time to watch the episodes you missed! Links in description!!
This might be a dumb question, from start to finish was is the price tag for a Bespoke suit?
Which is the song at the end of the video?? :)
Hello Mr. Allison,
I want to start by saying that I love the content that you provide.keep up the great work. Now on to my question. This question is probably one you get asked a lot. How does one get cuban cigars in the United States? I have thought about ordering online and just hoping for the best. But i figured i would try and get your opinion on the matter. I understand if you cant or don't want to answer the question due to the legality of those cigars.
Thank you so much for your time. Mr. Allison.
@@kirbyallison I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my comment. I kind of figured you would not want to expose your secrets. So a follow up question would be. What would you say is your favorite cigar to purchase when you are at davidoff of London If you only had a budget of $1,000.
Eddie, love your Omega x Swatch Earth watch your sporting! Is Eddie a big watch guy!?
Eddie is a massive watch guy! We actually have him and Edward reviewing two of their timepieces in this piece:
ruclips.net/video/OCo8q1kvnsI/видео.html
Great features. I think the jacket could be a little bit slimmer in the waist area. Right now, it looks rather straight down.
