While I smoke cigars, and I have a general interest in cigars, I’m mainly here for the Sahakians. I really hope that we will hear Eddie and Edward talk about any other topics besides cigars in the future! And of course, being from Hungary, I will not miss out on visiting the shop next time I’m in London!
I knew subscribing was going to pay of, love the cigar videos, but it always feels like im just a fly on the wall, but these videos about craftmenship and the calm and soothing way of explaining, i almost going to splurge on a umbrella now
I hope this shop sells more than cigars and umbrellas because I would love him to do a hundred more show and tells like this. Really engrossing and calming to watch. What a gentleman.
Fewer, better things. I just want a few things I really care about, that are impeccably made by passionate craftsmen, that will last a lifetime and beyond to the next generation, that give me small pleasures through rituals of daily life, and of course, are beautiful. Hopefully, I can pass down these items to my future son, and through their continued use by them, serve as touchstones to memories we shared together. When we venerate the mundane, we show gratitude for our time here. A watch, pipe, umbrella, and a few sartorial accessories are on the current shortlist. Cheers to this channel, and to Edward and Eddie.
I’m surely reiterating all that has been said before with Eddie (and Edward too) - I could listen to this man talk about anything for hours and hours…and then I’d buy it, too.
I live in the Pacific Northwest in America, and our winters are more mist and drizzle than heavy rain. For this reason, I rarely carry an umbrella, as I find a nice wool jacket and hat are more than sufficient. After learning about Fox Umbrellas however, I feel I am missing out on an important experience! Thanks for sharing, Eddie!
I purchased a Fox umbrella and I have to say the craftsmanship and quality is really visible. Not only that but I have never owned a more sturdy umbrella. I almost feel that I’d survive a piano falling on my head. Thank you Eddie!
A thoroughly elegant and aticulate explanation and demonstration of the quality one expects from Fox and Davidoff. Sir, reward yourself with one of their biscuits. :)
Wonderful video. Owned many Fox Ltd. Umbrellas and they hold up exceptionally well in rugged wet weather, many well over 70 years or more. Thank you for sharing this rarified art. Staff at Fox will do any customization you request thank you Paul and John Garrett owners of Fox Ltd. in Croydon, Surrey for repairing many antique and vintage umbrellas. Fox will refurbish their old models at reasonable cost neat and clean like new. Using polyester twill now vs. nylon. Next level up from Fox would be Swaine Adeney Brigg, in Burlington Arcade/ New Bond Street, London, they are lifetime lasting umbrellas. Handmade in the UK with love and care. Thank you for sharing and keeping tradition. -Cheers :)
Hi Eddie, I can see you have an Omega x Swatch on your wrist. Im always intrigued by your taste in timepieces. Can you make a collection video for your watches?
What can I say Eddie? Your latest video presentation was certainly worth waiting for. As well as the calming ambience of your amazing shop, although I feel that shop isn't a good enough word to use, we get treated to almost 20 minutes of simply magnificent umbrellas, and an insight into their manufacture. The whangees were simply amazing. As an afterword, I grew up surrounded by tobacco, cigarettes, and cigars, my father was a 'commercial traveller' for a wholesale tobacconists.
From the insanity of the world we return to the bliss of Davidoff. I gave up smoking about fifteen years ago but still love the smell of a good cigar. As for cigarettes I deplore them.
Fox are the very best umbrellas. I am fortunate to have two. One a solid stick chestnut which I use at home and a telescopic whangee which lives in my briefcase for trips to London. Both beautifully Made in England by Fox and almost a pleasure to wait for the rain.
I used to go to London regularly some 15 years ago. I bought an umbrella for my wife in 2006 I believe. It was a Pasotti with a lovely handle that had been hand carved to the likeness of a Scottish Terrier's head with a natural wood finish. I believe it cost around 300 pounds. I had it shipped to her. It has never been used.
I bought my first Fox umbrella in 1972. The second, having lost my first, was another Fox of identical design, with a small inset piece of antler horn in the handle. That was in 1995. Two umbrellas of exquisite design in 50 years!
Mr. Eddie it's a great pleasure to listen to your videos, your speech, your literary English is special and a good example for others. Good health and long life to you and your Father Edward.
What a lovely presentation Sir. Your timber of your voice and cadence was remarkable and thoroughly engaging to watch. Plus, I learned so very much about the Fox Umbrellas.
I enjoy watching Eddie and Edward Sahakian’s videos. All of them are in depth informative, especially with the cigars. Did not think twice in subscribing to your channel. A true gentleman 💯
Eddie, Thank you for yet another wonderful episode of your show. We always love seeing a new one posted up, here on RUclips and I wanted to extend my thanks for your continued expertise and wish you a very Merry Christmas. all the best for you and yours, may God Continue to bless your fine family - now and long into 2024.
The thing about cheap umbrellas, they never last. At some point you're going to spend more on 20 cheap umbrellas than you would for just a single good one that is actually going to last. Not to mention its going to come without the frustration (or embarrassment) of constantly breaking umbrellas.
I have enjoyed so many of your videos today. I just discovered this wonderful shop. You are a delight. Such lovely umbrella ‘s and so well explained. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. From Houston, Texas
Great Vido as always. Cigar talks are the core but I'm always interested in other things around the Davidoff shop, the live of Edward and Eddy and of course London as a fascinating city. Greetings from California.
I live near where they are made a was fortunate enough to go there and see them being made as I had to take my fathers brolly to get it repaired. They are not in Croydon though, near, but they are in Shirley.
I am fortunate to have been able to purchase a bespoke twin rib umbrella from Fox Umbrellas, and I find it marvelous. I too found myself going down the rabbit hole when I was determining what characteristics I desired, so many options to choose from. I couldn’t have been more satisfied once I got to hold it in hand, definitely a worthy personal investment.
Another fantastic video. I hope to one day visit Davidoff of London if I ever get over to the UK. Thanks to Kirby and yourself, I have found a love of Davidoff cigars. I hope to one day purchase and maybe enjoy a cigar in the shop that brought me to love Davidoff cigars. Thank you again for everything you do.
Awesome brollys my dear fellow! May I request that you someday make a video on those lovely cigarbox guitars you have? Would be great to see you play one Eddie and talk about your favourite guitarists and musical influences.
Eddie what a fantastic video. A fascinating subject to have a video about. I came here thanks to a recommendation in the comments of Kirby's video this weekend. I would add this to the list albeit a solid stick umbrella is already there when the time is right.
Beautiful umbrellas Eddie. I aspire for the solid rosewood one. And your watch matches. What are you wearing, if you don't mind me asking? Looks like a Daytona to me. Thank you.
I love my dark green bamboo handle fox umbrella and indeed it was acquired from Davidoff. Mr Edward Sahakian and I were both in agreement that particular green is our favourite colour!
Nice job Eddie. I live in Chicago and most people dont even own umbrellas and if we do we get the $5 Home Depot special. I enjoy the craftmanship you have on display in your toy store, :)
Ahhh, lovely. I only use golf umbrellas and now see my future in that regard. Cheers and … do you ship? Additionally, yes I see others that would be a privilege to acquire. In terms of ‘casual’ or not… others can fuss over such things. I enjoy what I like. That said, I have never seen large canopy umbrellas other than sporting ones. Thank you, again. Many thanks for your great and informative videos. New adventures ahead.
I so wish you showed the small umbrellas. From each time you showed the quality of the large umbrellas my eyes were drawn to the small ones. My choice would be. Small straight handle black double support, titanium pole, carbon fibre cloth, custom made by fox and inscribed. Star shaped too. Then brought to be illuminated in gold leaf in a pattern to cover the black carbon fibre cloth. If i could afford it that is what i want.
Eddie, big fan of all of your content on your own channel and others.. Would great to see you with a smaller Windsor knot tie. I believe it would complement your figure and style and also show a full collar. Keep up the great work

I really hope that we will hear Eddie and Edward talk about any other topics besides cigars in the future! I don’t smoke at all but I love the Sahakians videos.
Brother, I DONT EVEN smoke 😂. And Im here as well, because of the Sahakians. Love their demeanour and well spoken manner.
I am Hungarian as well. How are cigar prices in Hungary?
I don’t smoke anything. But I have an appreciation for well spoken and respectful people, especially in this day and age.
I could listen to Eddie talk about literally anything. He’s so amazingly articulate and genial. What a legend.
Eddie needs to do a series of reading stories. His voice is gentle, kind and peaceful. Falling asleep in calm joy…
Another masterclass from the gentleman that is Mr Eddie Sahakian!
I don’t smoke cigars or own a single umbrella, but Eddie can talk about anything and I’ll be 100% engaged and oblivious to everything else around me.
I can not describe the feeling I get every time this gentleman uploads a new video for me to watch. Epic. Keep it up.
Even the umbrella’s have art, thank you Eddie for educate and share your time with us

Haha I could watch this guy talk about anything. Very calming and peaceful! Thanks Eddie
Bedtime stories with Eddie
Eddie could literally sell me anything
So, should we be looking for a video of you and Kirby exploring the umbrella factory? That'd be awesome!

Who else is all of a sudden really into umbrellas? 😅
Everyday is a school day, excellent presentation.
I’m surely reiterating all that has been said before with Eddie (and Edward too) - I could listen to this man talk about anything for hours and hours…and then I’d buy it, too.
Thank you Eddie, such a delight listening to you and learning something new. I enjoy your content very much.
Superbly articulated video of extreme excellence. The engineering in the Umbrella's is sublime....
Thank you Eddie ....
Another excellent vidio from Eddie. Please can you do a vidio about your wrist watches please?
I live in the Pacific Northwest in America, and our winters are more mist and drizzle than heavy rain. Eddie is the best! Big fan! Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
Hi Eddie,
I can see you have an Omega x Swatch on your wrist. Im always intrigued by your taste in timepieces. Can you make a collection video for your watches?
It’s the Saturn MoonSwatch!
would love to see a Biopic on Edward and Eddie.

I dont smoke cigars but i just love watching all your videos.
Eddie is a lovely passionate man. Love it when he tells his stories.
Ah yes I’ve been looking forward to this one. Mine was the solid scorched hickory, twin ribbed with solid gold band - navy canvas. Incroyable👌🏼
From the insanity of the world we return to the bliss of Davidoff. I gave up smoking about fifteen years ago but still love the smell of a good cigar. As for cigarettes I deplore them.
Another magnificent video 👏, bad luck opening an umbrella indoors 😄
Please keep bringing us more content Mr. Sahakian. You and your father are true gentlemen. Godspeed, Sir.
I didn't realise you could make umbrella's sound so interesting Eddie. Super video as always

Great masterclass Eddie, I was actually watching most of your recording from Franco's restaurant while enjoying a cigar.

Eddie needs to do audio books!!!!
Thank you for investing your time in order to showcase and educate us on such fine products.
What a lovely presentation Sir. Your timber of your voice and cadence was remarkable and thoroughly engaging to watch. Plus, I learned so very much about the Fox Umbrellas.
Superb video and great to see the collection. Can you do a similar one on the walking sticks collection please.
Eddie the one take wonder! A natural…. Great video
Amazing stuff Mr. Eddie. You give us immense joy with your presence.

I enjoy watching Eddie and Edward Sahakian’s videos. All of them are in depth informative, especially with the cigars. Did not think twice in subscribing to your channel. A true gentleman 💯
It’s wonderful to see men still have class in today’s world.
These look really nice. I would think about getting one but they don't seem to have a gusset to make them easier to use in windy situations.
What a display of quality, craftsmanship and tradition.
I love the way you speak
That was a very lovely video. So many interesting fascts, so enjoyable packed and presented.
Just watched a 20 minute video on umbrellas - and love it!

Thank you for the Umbrella walkthrough. Have looked forward to this video since I first saw them in the background of your cigar videos with Kirby.
The thing about cheap umbrellas, they never last. At some point you're going to spend more on 20 cheap umbrellas than you would for just a single good one that is actually going to last. Not to mention its going to come without the frustration (or embarrassment) of constantly breaking umbrellas.
That was a thoroughly enjoyable presentation, so thank you very much indeed!
Thank you so much for the education Eddie, I now have a fox umbrella.
Thanks Eddy for making this beautiful video, I have been looking for one of this kind from long time now.

Eddie what a fantastic video. A fascinating subject to have a video about. I came here thanks to a recommendation in the comments of Kirby's video this weekend. I would add this to the list albeit a solid stick umbrella is already there when the time is right.

Every gentleman Should have a heavy, arlone quality large umbrella. Functional, classy, and perhaps the best unassuming self-defense weapon there is.
Extreme excellence !
I so wish you showed the small umbrellas. From each time you showed the quality of the large umbrellas my eyes were drawn to the small ones. My choice would be. Small straight handle black double support, titanium pole, carbon fibre cloth, custom made by fox and inscribed. Star shaped too. new word of the day "furled" - neatly and securely rolled or folded up.
As a pipe smoker along with being cigar aficionado, I would like to ask you to show us your pipes collection and tobaccos.
I live in AZ but this makes me want to get an umbrella just because lol 😂
Eddie, big fan of all of your content on your own channel and others.. Would great to see you with a smaller Windsor knot tie. I believe it would complement your figure and style and also show a full collar. Keep up the great work
Eddie could talk about moss and it would be enthralling.
Best hair in the business.
You could say Eddie enjoys, “quality, craftsmanship, and tradition”
