You can absolutely wear a dress watch in a casual setting. But a sport or tool watch cannot typically be worn in a formal setting

I don’t think I’d really considered whether Kirby was a watch guy, but makes sense he would have some working knowledge as it’s a necessary accessory. And I believe he knows more about watches than he implied. His Chopard 38mm fit his wrist and personality well and he seemed quite familiar rattling off those complications. Edit: Nod to Kirby for the win.
As fan of both channels. I would have made a judgement if they wore it with their sharp outfits and the complementing watches that goes with the outfit gets an extra point. Two of the sharpest dressed men on RUclips.

I think Kirby nailed his collection. That reverso is just a stunning watch hands down. I would have preferred the Breitling Datora salmon dial versus the pistachio dial, but gorgeous piece nonetheless. I can’t wait to check out the next video 🙌🏽🙌🏽
That Datora is over 15mm, whereas the Pistachio is only 13mm.
Honestly thats the main issue with these Breitlings is they are quite thick.

It takes guts to do what Kirby does and embrace traditional style in the age of t-shirts and stretch pants. Am I wearing a three-piece suit every day or even once a decade? Absolutely not, but I don't think calling him pretentious is fair. After watching many hours of his videos, he's unapologetic about his hobbies and interests, which happen to be expensive. The cool thing about Kirby (and Teddy) is that they give you accessible options so that while they remain aspirational - they're still attainable at the end of the day for people that go down this road. I appreciate both guys producing content, and I recommend Kirby's videos to anyone because they come from a genuine place with an appreciation of tradition, attention to detail, and craftsmanship. I greatly respect anyone who can take their passions and find a way to support themselves!

Very hard pick. Kirby’s dial colors are striking, but cost and lack of diversity gives Teddy the win to me. Four sharp, unique, complicated watches with excellent value for money.
I think Teddy's collection allows for a lot more versatility but Kirby's collection allows for some serious flare and fun

The way I see it, Kirby was thinking more about the colour of the dial, matching it with different coloured shirts and suits, while Teddy has more of a practical style. I actually liked Kirby's collection the most here.. And of course, only a few people can walk into a store and spend $44k on watches.

I just have to say that today, because of this video, I went to Bachendorf's in Dallas at the Galleria and bought my FIRST Jaeger-LaCoultre , The Reverso Duoface Calendar. I drove all the way from Oklahoma City for the day, in fact. I was obsessed with the watch brand from this video, and bought the same exact watch featured here. What a great store! I could have spent more time there, talking about watches.

I like Kirby's Reverso and Teddy's Longines Diver and that's it. The Breitling perpetual calendar is beautiful, but I have a phobia that if I ever bought a perp calendar it would be perpetually in and out of the repair shop.

I had wondered if Teddy even owned a tie. Both gents look great.
I loved Kirby's picks, but as I'm judging the collection as a whole not just which 4 watches look nicest, Teddy's has more range and practicality. He can handle everything from suits to diving to travel to just a tshirt and jeans. Thats a complete collection.
Good choices for Kirby, but that collection of watches never drops below a polo shirt, always has clean hands, and isn't likely to go swimming or do anything rough ever. Does seem to be how he genuinely rolls, but I like a collection that can do it all.
Pretty sure the roughest thing his watches will see is getting some shoe polish on them. Can't imagine the guy wearing a G-Shock or anything like that.

But I do think most people aren't quite so dandy as him and could use at least something that could handle getting a bit beat around without immediately invoking panic
