Maybe I'll try one in the future. Curious to see how those powerful brakes affect casting.
I have a Quantum Accurist and found the same oddity you did in that unless you adjust the brakes so they're on the firmer side, you'll get overrun because what "feels" right isn't right on that particular reel. After seeing how the brakes hinder free movement on this thing, that's kind of what I'm expecting.
Definitely on my wishlist as well. Great review. Will pull the trigger soon.

I have enjoyed all seasir reels I have tried . I have 3 commandos and 3 mansory reels . They all cast great and have 2 spools. I use shallow spools for 8 lb test and deep spool for 14 lb . I can switch them around as needed. The Commando reels are as smooth and quiet as my shimano slx reels. I ordered an M1 on your link thanks. Do the cast test and try a commando

This reel seems to check a lot of the boxes people are looking for. That being said, not many comments or reviews on this reel out there. I look forward to your follow up casting video on this reel. Thanks for the unboxing and initial review of this reel. DBB had the issue with the tension knob also. I believe the fix was a thinner o ring under the spool tension cap.
Makes sense about the o ring. When i took the spool tension cap off, I was almost tempted to cut it off.
Why does it have a hole on the inside wall of the body at the side-plate cover side? It can be seen @4:45. Thank you for the review video.
bought 2 recently and both orders all spools only have a tiny oring between bearing and pin, no spring and washer. just a heads up for peeps.
Ordered one the minute you pulled it out of the box. If it lasts 1/2 as long and casts equal too my Piscifun Saex Elite I’ll consider it well worth the money.

Just got mine and the looks are great. The spool tension knob is perfect. Haven't casted it yet. BUT both the handle and the knobs are problematic: The handle is very sloppy, moves in and out vs the body significantly and the knobs are quite loose (will require shimming). The tolerances for the Cast-X I also have are 200% better as far as the handle and knobs are concerned. To say I'm disappointed is putting it mildly. Seasir's quality control sucks!
I was actually thinking about trying a cast x cuz they’re sooooo cheap. Any thoughts on that one or anything better at that dirt cheap price?! Thx 😊

I just received two in the last week. The tension knob issue has been resolved.
did you see that new salt strong casting distance video. They casted a 7ft 3 baitcast rod against a 7ft6 spinning rod and the spinning rod only barely beat it.

i really love this review sir... for beginner like me, this is super informative...thank you for this sir, for people with low budget who want to try something new, this is beyond great...help a lot for people like me with tight budget, hope in the future, you can promote more budget friendly reel like this...people can say what they one about this review, but always remember that this is fishing community, it's to bring more people to enjoy and love fishing...thank you and God Bless you sir...
Ive been doing budget tackle reviews since day 1 and will continue to do them because I know not everybody has Shimano Metanium money

Yea DBB unboxed this reel and had the same problem
@@5wisher5weetI believe DBB said it had something to do with the thickness of the o ring under the spool tension knob. If memory serves me correctly he replaced it with a thinner o ring and it solved the issue.
And, with 2lb mono, i can cast farther a 2g lure than with black knight 2, Red Fox BFS. Really amazing! It arrived dry inside.

Damn why all the hate? I've been looking at this reel for about almost a year. I just couldn't pull the trigger but if i don't get this I probably will get the 70 Shimano or a Salamandura 70. I need something to throw light Jerk baits and light crankbaits.

Been eyeing this one but went for the Acura Hicc-50 pro instead. Definitely packed with features for the price, but I will be curious to see how it casts...hopefully not overbraked. Definitely a good looking little reel though
If so, pop out some of the magnets out of the magtrax braking system it has until desired braking resistance. If you were to do this, just remove them in a symmetrical fashion for best results, if removing two or more!

I purchased the HICC 50 also and was able to cast a #7 rapala original about 20 yards with 6lb floro on the deep spool. Only fished 1 time but I am pleased with the performance

Хм ... единственное что мне не нравится - это её слишком светлый цвет . Либо белая , либо чёрная, либо тёмная, или даже зелёная, но без блёсткок . Не люблю всякие металлики , как автомобильный цвет . Мне интересно её полное сравнение с Histar Aurora на воде , и в одном кадре , чтобы понять какая больше и меньше . . Друг , будь добр , сравнить их на воде . Их цена на Али экспресс фактически одинаковая . А ещё, скажи , по размерам , в сравнении с Авророй , она больше или меньше , или такая же ? Очень жду твоё следующее видео.

I got one of these a few months ago. It's pretty nice, but wasn't super refined feeling, and was only an OK caster for me in the couple trips I have used it. I think the my Acura Pro HICC50 feels smoother and casts similarly well. Hard to justify the $40 price difference.
Amazon price went up to $69. Still cheaper than Ali

Bro. I hate to say it, but I feel like this video has zero credibility. The reel looks like a missed attempt at copying the Zillion. The paint is terrible in comparison. The spool tension knob is nothing like the zero adjust knob on the Zillion. The packaging is nothing like the Zillion outside of the boxes both being white. There is no structure to the interior packaging to help hold the reel in place during shipping. There was a loose secondary spool in the box just bouncing around during shipping. There’s finish scratches on the palm side cover. This feels like a paid for review.
Your problem is that Im not worried about looking credible to you

I’ve watched many of your videos over a long period of time… I’ve used them to help educate me as a consumer, so that I can try to make decisions right for me. I just don’t feel like this one has that independent and unbiased review feel. I feel like for the $70 price point you gave it a level of enthusiasm matching the deal you would receive, but for me, from what I see, I would be hard pressed to pay $40 for that reel. It just doesn’t meet my criteria. For $70 I’d rather find a nice used reel or rod that’s tried and tested.

I’ve had this reel since like last October. The price was around $50 back then. The reel is the same apart from a bit different carbon fibre handle design and a bit different colored drag star and spool tension knob although the parts seem to be the same still. Honestly, probably the worst $50 I’ve ever spent, here’s why:
- paint job is uneven and the shades change all over the parts and there are some dirt under the paint too in a couple spots
- your spool tension knob seems to be super tight, mine is super loose and the clicks barely hold it in place, the knob also wiggles sideways a lot
- iar glutch is loose to the sideplate as well as the bearing and the handle has a lot of lateral movement
- the reel feels quite geary and noisy from the gears and after a look at the gears the pinion gear is machined very poorly
- handle is quite bendy and the knobs aren’t very well fit in place and have a lot of lateral movement
- spool bearing housing in the handle side is too loose and the bearings have a lot space to move
- palm sideplate stays still when locked, but it is a bit loose in hand, also sideplate doesn’t sit in place that well and there is a gap between the frame in few sections
- paint from the aluminum frame was peeled of from the screw areas right when I got the reel
Neeldes to say I don’t recommend buying this at any price point ever. A very cheaply made reel with terrible quality even for cheap Chinese reels

That's the ugliest tension knob I ever seen. The carbon fiber knob is stupid... It doesn't match the reel at all. Otherwise indeed a budget reel.
