I think the cast X is the ultra budget king, other reels competing with it are either worse or more expensive. I've used a few at that price point and its very solid.
@@davewright9801 yeah I’ve been putting through the passes, I haven’t swapped the bearings yet but so far throwing a 1-2oz glide has been very enjoyable!
I bought one 6 weeks ago from cuteslivingstore and I still haven't received it. Kinda disappointed but I ordered the Histar Raytheon to throw swimbaits with. We'll see how it goes lol.
I had the same problem with a Daiwa Fuego LT spinning reel, fishing of a kayak. I never have that problem with any of my cheap, Kastking Reels which went through much more abuse
@@obsessed_angler I have probably like 12 or more old reels from the 90s and older, and they don;t have a spec of rust inside.... ( I know as I serviced them all this year)
they do use cheaper quality bearings, but, if i could save much more money for the features this reel could offer i'd be servicing this reel every time i go salt water fishing. or maybe use the additional savings to upgrade to some higher quality bearings
There is a drag test of this reel else where came to ~7kg. Considering they claim 15kg its less than half. Can you tie to a water jug and test it? I have a tranx500 and its like your winding on thin air its just ridiculous. I am looking for a cheap thrasher setup to practice on but can be trusted to still work well. The seasir commando gets amazing reviews.
I like the commando a lot! I’ll have to test the drag and see where it lands at. I’ve got spooled with 20lb big game and I just got the last reel I’ve been waiting on to test all the budget swimbait reels and see what’s what
@dbbfishing2528 looking forward to see what the drag can do 20lb is 9kg which i think is a decent amount. Few other questions the spool shaft is it steel? What do you think of the reel size compared to others, most swimbait reels are 300. What size do you think this is? My tranx is kinda big at 500 but for what i use it for chasing medium sized kingfish and tuna its like a game reel with a line guide.
@@Side85Winder it is very comparable to a 200-300 size reel probably closer to a 200 but it’s a little bigger than a 200. It’s crazy they didn’t make it know as to what size the reel is and even more so I didn’t even think to check I just knew I’ve been liking their other reels and I wanted to put their swimbait reel to the test
@dbbfishing2528 it will probably make a really good bottom bashing and lighter jigging reel as well, deffently has the capacity to go deep. Deppending on The drag capacity is going to determin how big you can go. Lots here love overhead baitcasters and just dig their thumb into the spool 🤣. I am thinking one of those rods from aliexpress with 2 tips a light and heavy 8-12lb and 12-17lb for australian whiting and snapper would be a killer setup.
My old man is looking for a cheap reel he wants to use in the salt water. I think I might recommend this one, I trust Seasir.
I would agree with that! So far I’m very impressed with Seasir!

The Cast-X is a very solid reel! I would agree with your statement!
It has a good load capacity for the fishing line, and depending on the thickness, it can carry more or less meters.
@@matiashernandez2756 very true!
Hey man, would you say this reel is closer to a 200 or 300 size?
do you know the spool diameter? thanks
Hi. Have you done the brake test with the Megacuda?
I tore my bicep and haven’t had a chance to do the testing yet
Is the megacuda really an aluminum frame reel?
@@PIYOSKAMANFISHING yeah the main body is I’m pretty sure the side plates are not.
It was good before I swapped the spool bearings for hybrid ceramics, now is amazing, especially at the price
@@davewright9801 yeah I’ve been putting through the passes, I haven’t swapped the bearings yet but so far throwing a 1-2oz glide has been very enjoyable!
@davewright9801 How did you do that? where did you buy the bearings?
@ Seasir sells them in their store and they’re pretty cheap and pretty dam good!
Thanks! Subbed to see more Ali product reviews
If you do not mind, what's the true reel capacity in your opinion? Can I get 0.28mm 220m?
Hi Mate, can we change those handle with standard power handle?
ofcoarse!
Yeah it can be changed!
They sell a version that comes with a power handle.
Have you notice any small rust spot on the parts while maintaining the reel?
@@sawanchamroo5875 no not yet, but I haven’t fished saltwater with it. So far it’s been pretty good
Seasir Megacuda spare parts, there is a boss on the right side, the magnet brake is complete
so, how is your opinion on this in action? Still think this is good reel? I bought the same and am waiting it to arrive soon.
Hey man, is this one better for river fishing or the soloking HIAW200? Thanks
I think this one is better. But they’re both good reels
is this 7x4 or 8x5 ?
@@GoogleAlvin I haven’t taken off the handle but I will tomorrow and check

I got mine in about two weeks. That Histar looks pretty good. I haven’t tried it yet but I might want to add it to my contest
Let us know how it performs.
Do you know what size is it? 200 or 300?
I would say based on weight and line capacity it’s a 200 size reel
I ordered mine today, I hope it can handle up to 4 onz baits, btw thank you for the response.
@@gameon2081 I’m sure it will. I’ll go out tomorrow and throw some big swims with it
But is it smooth?
Nice review, does it have a drag clicker?
Yeah bro it’s a fire reel !
The biggest fear I have on cheap reels is that the bearings are not properly rust-proof. One dash of water and they sound like you are griding coffee.
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I’ve been fishing with the Megacuda a lot lately and it’s holding up very well.

They do not fit megacuda spools are much larger
Seasir Megacuda spare parts, there is a boss on the right side, the magnet brake is complete
What's ypur opinion on the weight of the lures it can handle? Ive been looking for it and cannot find a clear answer 😅
I would say 1/2-3oz is a pretty good comfort zone for the Megacuda.
Lucana predator 200 and takugana are also good reel in budget
I’ll take a look at them! Are they on AliExress?
I looked for Lucana and didn’t find anything
I looked also but now it's only available in India . Because it's new brand hope will be available soon their also.
