Love to watch your reviews. That calming voice of yours, and the pace makes your stuff unique. I also like your unbiased mix of High End reels and Ali stuff.
Just got mine yesterday based on your recommendation. The tension knob is now fixed and oh it cast like a dream even for 1 gram lures. I'm also using it with a cheap mavlos delicacy rod spooled with 6lbs braid.
I also got the new one, and there is one more difference. The spool bb is held in place by an o ring, rubber, instead of a spring pushed washer. I wonder why they changed it.
Thanks for the three videos, I picked one up to try out on a Kastking BFS rod. The more I learn from your channel I have found that around 2 gram seems to be the threshold for my abilities - Micro for panfish vs bfs for bass
Going against my better judgement, I bought one. My cast control knob is easy to adjust. That’s good. Put the larger spool in. Filled with 8 us hybrid. Great cast control. I’m really impressed at this price.
Hi, received my M1 yesterday and they already placed a better size o-ring under the spool tensionknob. Now it works as it should. Gonna watch the video know 😊
O-ring size is 12mm ID by 1.6mm Thickness. I came to the conclusion that this thing casts the farthest when you set the spooltension a little stiffer after you get rid of the side 2 side play and than turn the brakes to zero, with no birdsnests. Been throwing lures from 2.5 to 7grams. My TSU Black Wolf Ultra was smoother when it came to retrieval, and did almost cast as far as this one. And after all.....at this size you also won't need an alloy frame.... But hey, they don't cost the world.
I believe by not being able to adjust the spool tension knob is limiting the performance and casting distance of the reel. I hope it gets fixed. Great vid like always.
You can adjust it easily with a pair of pliers, but it is nearly impossible with your finger tips because of the dragster being partly in the way. I think they have it set to not need adjustment like how Daiwa does with their "zero-adjuster"...
@@THEREELTESTyes, they did. Also replaced the washer+spring holding the bb from the spool, with a simple rubber o ring. Do you have any idea why would they put only an o ring?
I think it would be great for "power bass BFS" with the metal frame and lures 2-6G range. That little Panfish had a hell of a gut on him, well fed mini pig!
There is no such thing as "POWER" Bfs. A Bfs reel can throw a brick if you put it on a heavy rod. I said this term in video a long time ago as a joke. Now it is a thing. 1/4 oz and under is Bfs. anything over is just Fishing Bro. Tight lines. 😂😂
I know this isn't technically a BFS reel, but would it have made your BFS buyers guide for this year? How would you compare it to the Valiant Eagle II for example?
Hey, I've noticed that i get a lot of fluff and birdsnest on this one. I spooled it up with #0.6 0.10mm 8braid and it doesnt fill the spool evenly to the edges, its stops about 1mm from each side and than when you are past half way filling it overlaps it to the outside.... I have to be really carefull when casting, or have to crank the tension down so that, say an 3gram lure, doesnt drop by itself.
You get a lot for your money in this reel. Performance wasn’t bad at all. Ali express did have them for $47.00 but apparently they are sold out at the moment. It did seem to be making some gear sound possibly needs grease or break in. Not a bad price for a metal frame reel and 2 spools .
The only turn off for me is the spool tension issue on this reel. Otherwise it looks great. Like the handles on it better than some others in the same price point. Would you recommend this reel over a DWU or Doviello Hicc-50 as they are also around the same price point? For additional info on the decision, I’m looking to pair it with a KastKing Kestral 6’9 Light for bass fishing (and possibly crappie/bluegill)
Depends. If you're fine with throwing higher weights and being the person to find out if the metal frame is a bigger plus than unknown durability and the issues it has with the spool tension knob, sure. I just got a few Seasir reels during the ali summer sale, no M1. I've only fished the Mansory, which I got to replace a couple 3 year old Tsu Hurricanes, for like 15 minutes. I thought it punched way above the $27 I paid and the $50ish they normally go for. You could spend $90-125ish to get a much more proven aluminum frame reel. I wouldn't recommend the KK Kestrel 6'9" light. I broke mine at the top of the middle section fighting, not landing/high sticking, a 1.5-2lb bass within the first few weeks I had it. Been doing BFS for several years and that is the only rod I've ever broken. Multiple people have had the same issues with the featherlight/ultralight as well. For that money I'd get a Tsurinoya or spend a little more for something like a Major Craft Benkei/Cashion Element.
@@LETTUCEbeeCEREAL thanks for the reply! That’s sucks about the KK rod. Was interested since it’s a 3 piece which would be convenient for travel. I was interested in a tsu dragon 2 piece but can’t ever find it in stock anywhere.
@@takG6 In case you were still on the fence, I ended up getting the M1 and fished with it a bit this morning. My opinion is the same as @THEREELTEST, I'd definitely recommend it over the DWU or its clones. Much better tolerances, it feels a little less smooth a Kestrel Elite when you account for the hybrid ceramic bearings. I dunno if the bearings are necessary for the reel to perform, might be a turn off for some.
@@yankeelipperfishing funny, Ive never once seen a tournament pro turn their hand sideways when casting... but yankeelipperfishing knows everything obviously and he is the lone fishing authority everybody respects.... oh wait, thats not true 🤣
@THEREELTEST I bought the mansory for $45 as my first BFS reel and I was blown away. The hybrid ceramic bearings are not a gimmick as I have fished a ton on the Texas gulf coast with the reel. It has shown no sign of breakdown whatsoever. I haven't tested it's limits with with sub-2g very much, although I will now that I learned that less line is better when you're in that range. My go-to is probably 4-10g(1/8oz jighead & 2.5" paddletail), with a full spool of 8-10lb braid with 8-10lb flouro leader, and the mansory absolutely kills it. I paired it with a $45 ultralight rod from Temu and I have a blast. Drag is smooth too, considering the $45 price tag, as it's been tested by multiple slot redfish over the last month. Caught my pb red with it my last time out and felt in control the whole fight. 28.5" Redfish on bfs cheap BFS with 8lb braid and 10lb leader...consider me officially hooked!🤣 Please test the Mansory Pro, I can't find info on it anywhere. Your videos are awesome, keep up the good work👊🏻
I've been using only daiwa reels since td-s td-z era. Seasir m1 casting performance, and build quality, are mind-blowing for that price range. You can't get something not even close, for 150$ from daiwa or shimano. I hope they will make a new version, with a more durable pinion yoke, and smoother finish. I would gladly pay more. Only time will tell how good and durable are the gears.
@redzuanhashim1193 I don't think I'll be using the Smaller Spool. Seems like it'll b some Hassle plus I don't throw those small Baits. Strictly bass setup

what rod is that?
Try to turn your hand 90 degrees, when overhead casting. This will give you more casting distance as the line is touching the blank less.
