This song brings me to tears every time. I think at some point this song became an outlet for any stored anguish I hadn't gotten out. I'm so glad this song found me.
I remember when this album dropped and people hated this song. It wasn’t typical Slipknot but it grew on all of us. Such an incredible song and has so much emotion to it
@@djentyman4002 its rare that a band can get so versatile in style yet still maintain what made them great in the first place. I was very nervous that Slipknot was pulling a Metallica, from Iowa to Duality felt like In Justice For All to The Black Album, but thankfully, Slipknot pulled it off and they have never sucked. Rare.
darkerdemon2 they softened up a little bit but it wasn’t drastic. Still stayed true to their rough edge and I’m glad this new album is going to a heavier style. We need another Iowa in our lives lol
@@djentyman4002 They proved you can still be rough in what drove each and every song regardless of how heavy it was. I remember after Iowa came out, Cory said that dont be surprised if we end up sounding like Pink Floyd, something to that effect....they can actually do that if they wanted to and it would still be awesome
His reaction in the video when he slumps down crying wasn't planned, He was really upset & they didn't edit it from the video. Corey talked about it in an interview once. So, He has been emotional over this song way before Paul passed.
This song has nothing to do with Paul, but a love loss of Corey, someone who he really loved. If im not mistaken, his sons mother, broke up with him, but im not sure.
Corey didn’t want the song on the album as fore whatever reason he didn’t feel it was right to put it on but Paul loved the song so they kept it, so now Corey always gets emotional because it was one of Paul’s favourite songs

I never was much of a Slipknot person, but this song I absolutely love. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. The singer, Corey Taylor told what the song is about. He said, ""This is the slow one. It's another personal one. Again, not naming names, it's about someone who helped me through a lot and I thought she felt the same way that I did and then she really let me down. At the same time, it was good that she did, because it was that final push to me figuring out myself. The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory." Great song you guys, and terrific reaction! Keep on rocking!
Corey actually has a great voice when he sings. This song is a very emotional song for him and has some very personal meaning for him. You should really check out the acoustic version that he did with this song...you want to talk about goosebumps...that version will give it to you!

Thanks for doing the song with a lyric video and not the offical video. Sometimes the video can place things into your mind that were not there if you were allowed to listen to a song and use your own thoughts and imagination to interpret.
I agree with that too, or just the straight up music. But after that's done, I do have to say it is highly recommended to watch the official music video, It's is very well done. The live acoustic video from London is really good also.

With that said Kel mentioned that she still wasn’t very comfortable with the growl style of music just yet. My wife is the same way. As for me I love it! I always have. It has always had a duel purpose for Me. Listening to it energized Me as well as others before patrols or whatever... These days It is how I release aggression... That’s just for Me... It is absolutely awesome to broaden your horizons with music... I enjoy almost all music... I do struggle with most country but I do try. Again thank you. Rock On!!
