I literally got goosebumps all over my body and the beginning of Teardrop and Angel. Pretty weird physical reaction to greatness that didn't include like Whitney Houston singing or something amazing of that nature. Live Portishead brought me to this beautiful stuff here. Thank you RUclips.
Who is that Beautiful gurL dancing from the beginning? The 1 singing and shaking taM-boRing? Hellz bellz yall, tell Her iDa done This All just to Watch Her purty Thang dance like That!!!+++ Not to Mention, to Hear Her Sin9.
@@Rose-qd2bl AYFKM?! I saw Massive Attack in Paris 10years ago sans Fraser. And now I must make it happen and see them together for Teardrop before I die. Did they surprise you with her appearance or did you know before attending?
Ok, heres my theory, im thinking, every person individually, in this band can sing above expertise level, and every person, individually can play every instrument above expertise level......so end result.....this band is at a whole different level people. Everyine is so talented. Im so glad ive found this music. Going thru one of lifes toughest challenges right now, some of my worst and darkest days, keeping me constantly worried with out sleep. But i can turn this music on, turn it up and it seems to melt my shit away. And sleep, i cant still, but damn its not from my troubles and worry in life , cant stop listening to this music this band. Im so relaxed, and with a smile, thank you lord, thank you massive attack. Im much happier, an lifes alot more healthier for me. I no it sounds really dumb, but hopefully im not the only one thinking this. And if i am so be it..... its definitely working for me, and i m beyond ready for a change ......thanks " MASSIVE ATTACK " GOD BLESS YOU ALL MAN . TY !!
Whats amazing? Really? You have to ask? This video is 20 yrs. after the band formed, and they are still as tight as ever. 1988 to 2008. Now go find this performance in 2018.........and try to wrap your ears around how so little is lost. Amazing isn't a question, its a stamp of fan approval!
Great Show. Going to Glastonbury is a dream. Lucky crowd to see this performance. Can proudly say I saw the Mezzanine tour in Perth Western Australia 1998. Massive Attack were incredible. Still up there in my top 10 shows
I am obv old. Seen the attack at Glasgow barras mid 90s. David holmes on the decks supporting. Was a great gig. Was out my box and done things on the ballroom floor that should only be done in privaye.
That's how we lived, Muchacho... and you survived...!!! I went to the One Big Weekend on Belfast last year... we got David Holmes, Beck, Orbital and Underworld... the rest of the UK got Ed Sherrin, Ellie Goulding and Little Mix... guess who had the best time...!!!
Massive Attack play this weekend at the world famous Glastonbury Festival. Hopefully some nice proshot footage courtesy of the BBC will become available shortly afterwards (fingers crossed for Full HD)! Before that though, you can watch what the BBC broadcast of Massive Attack's performance from the last time they played Glastonbury in 2008.
Looks like they didn't allow the BBC to record them? Watched it live and it was a great show though and also saw them last Friday in Amsterdam. Absolutely killin' it!
Why has ALL I WANT never been released, amazing vocals from Yolanda Quartey! Also as much as I love Hope Sandoval, I prefer Yolanda's version of Harpsicord over Paradise Circus.
Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok, many years ago i had my space, followed a band named lillies on mars with stephanie dosen, then i learned youtube and got addicted to massive attack until today. and there is a collaboration of them two i ve never seen before. that s nice
So much hate towards 'Teardrop.' It sounds great. Sure, it's not the original singer, but c'mon, it's a such a unique part that Stephanie pulls off well. At least it's better than some renditions I've heard.
So m any artists from so many different genres (not including US Country-Western) made so much great music in the '90s -- can't say the same for much of the music of today.
This band has the ability to soak through your skin, absorb your emotions and reach your inner being. As good as it gets, brilliant.
It gets me back to 90's and I feel same emotions as I did as a child and teenager.
i just like the tunes lol
@@CynicalDoughnut6661 me too. Glasgow barras, david holmes support on the decks. lots of pills
They're just incredible
So well put sir, I totally agree - immense!
This music is totally timeless, and will live forever
i'm hoping so

Massive Attack is epic - I've never seen a band mesmerize it's audience more since Ministry. all their collaborations are pure genius.
Thanks for all the music Angelo 😢
I saw Massive Attack, in Portugal(2004)...what a concert.... it took me 3 hours to return to earth again!!!

I just saw them here in St Paul about a month ago. Amazing concert! With Elizabeth Fraser.

Where were you inbetween???
Simply one of the greatest bands of all. If only other music could have evolved so highly.
I saw Massive Attack in Brussels playing "Teardrop" with Liz on vocals for a real "Teardrop".
A blast ! Great souvenir !
I saw them at 1st ave on Mezenine tour.Amazing live!!They have such a powerful sound!!!One of my favorite bands hands down!!

Literally MASSIVE!! I'm seeing them in 4days!!!
Such a beautifull voice, like all singers in Massive Attack, still love listening to my Massive album collection.
Couldn't agree more with some of the comments here. This band's music gets inside you, grabs on and just does not let go! Superb performance!
Just as fantastic 10 years later! Amazing performance - whish I was there in the crowd. That 22-minute mark is just BRILLIANT!!!!!!
Top of the heap. Calm, cool and collected. Always the most soulful musicians are gathered. Thank you!
Yh you noticed, I saw them live once, they were soo laid back believe..
Massive Attacke. Come back and make music. My generation need you. Regards from Germany Wuppertal. Bernie
I freacking love massive attack. The bands now can't even compare with this quality of music
what an amazing vocalist that lady is. sounded so good in the first song and singing safe from harm
Lovely Stephanie Dosen
Yolanda Quartey is her name and the reason i'm watching this video actually - she releases solo music as 'Yola' and she is spectacular
not a patch on liz, smiling throughout that song is sacrilege,
My heart is feeling so eased with this❤
This has to be the best setlist ever...
I believe this is how the world would be without racism and relligions. Symphony of understanding, acceptance and tollerance.
All these years have passed and I'm still so sad Massive Attack never released All I Want, would have been such an epic opener on a new album.
Tricky yea me lol

Saw them in nyc years ago........still amazed by their sound.
It's a must to have seen Massive Attack live once in a lifetime. On stage they are unbelievable. I mean, two drum kits!!!
Stunning version of "Angel."
It is your duty as a generation x-er to share this music with the younger generations.
Love it! But as an aging gen-xer I'm responsibility phobic
Excellent tune.Beat was on .The performers smooth .
Thank you!
I'm 75, so a couple of generations x
Im 18 and ive listened to them since I was 14, good stuff
Consistently put out groundbreaking records. Big up Bristol..
Hey! Massive Attack! High time for another album ;)
Good call!!
Absolutely!
Never tire of watching this set but what really has me coming back, over and over is the bass growling in the background of Angel; almost primeval. :)
always such a heartfelt and infinitely interesting band
Yolanda! Amazing vocal!

There are not words for this performance of Angel.
You look up - you shine. You look down you dont. She looks up and have a Voice like ... Thank you for looking up
According to my demographic, there is no way I should appreciate this band as much as I do. They touch a nerve I didn't know I even owned, down deep.

This band is unique from the beginning
Gracias! Excelente show de una banda mítica!
Imaginative. Original. Danceable. Brilliant light show. Highly recommended.
Love this band 🌹
Banksy and the lads ..
This completely sucks! Nard hipples..
It's not banksy. These guys (and gals) have talent. They're not just political pundant dipshits with spray-paint and money.
John Dough Robert del naja is friends with banksy and banksy was inspired by Robert del naja (3Ds) graffiti art style with stencils
the set is insane
*Yolanda* is an amazing vocalist, loved her voice.
Yolanda Quartey, amazing singer
I HAVE TO SEE THEM LIVE
ok, many years ago i had my space, followed a band named lillies on mars with stephanie dosen, then i learned youtube and got addicted to massive attack until today. and there is a collaboration of them two i ve never seen before. that s nice
I love exactly this love SO much why don't release the first song it's so gooood
I have cronic ear pain and can only hear out of my right ear today. I’m listening to this…just in case😢
flying listening to this "massive show"
fenomenal.. simplesmente...
Was at this gig, magik people
Pure Creativity from all that created this WOW!
With the exception of "Teardrop", most excellent!!! "Unfinished Sympathy" so, so good. Lovely rendering of such an old favorite.
Estas pendeja!!
Hi Massiveattack.IE
Thanks for the handy information. Now I've got the names of two wonderful singers. Their singing is simply great and a joy.
Cheers

Not at all. :) People hate it because she did not even try this time while usually she's amazing.
It’s a massive attack! It’s can’t be just good. It’s have to be perfect! But I didn’t see there perfect and I disappointed ....
I ever loved Teardrop...can someone please tell me the name of this beautiful voice of this teardrop version?

what a fantastic son is All I Want!!!!!!!
Teardrop is in my top 2 of all time greatest songs. With Sneakerpimps 6 underground.

Massive attack Incredible Just among the best!,,
On Teardrop she can't make up her mind if she's playing guitar or not !!
Massive Attack or Amazing Attack?
Unfinished Sympathy and Safe From Harm just arent the same without Shara on vocals
Don't be daft, Yola does a near perfect imitation.
Its really hard for anyone to catch Shara's original version , but they try good , well done to all , all these years
Thanks!!!!
TEARDROP EXPLODES ! MASSIVELY EXCELLENT.
Que bandola tan espectacular.
merci merci groupe à faire VIVRE JUSQU'À 2030..
