Growing up, I didn't like Farming, but now in my 40s, I love it. I eat everything i grow. I am moving back to Jamaica next year and going straight into farming. Blessings
Im a farmer from southwest st Elizabeth i plant tomatoes sweet peppers and beetroot thyme and people always look down on us like when i go to farmstore in my farming clothes but im really proud of myself who dont inherited nothing from family are parents i achieve alot
I am a farmer my father was a farmer. Out of 9 kids I am the only one farming. It's hard work I don't have to work for anyone I work for myself. I love it I love working with food. I love the land. People don't know what they are missing out on. You learn so much. Food is money and food. ❤❤❤❤ My father always told me 'you have land you will never be hungry" you see this man he is very happy and free
SIR I WISH YOU WAS EVEN MY UNCLE 😊I PRAY THAT ONE DAY I WILL GET A CHANCE TO TALK WITH YOU. YOU INSPIRED ME 😮I DON'T NEED ANYTHING FROM YOU!!! IT'S JUST TO WALK AROUND YOUR FARM AND CHAT WITH YOU. YOU'RE A BLESSINGS TO YOUR COUNTRY JAMAICA 🇯🇲 ❤ RESPECT 🙌 🙏
Sadly, that's not how Black people work. We're selfish, self-centered and jealous. We'd rather sell the land collect our share then get on RUclips and complain how rich people dem ah teif from the poor man, after it was our poor life decisions which have put us in the predicament were in. Always blaming history for our bad choices, unaccountable for anything. If he were a Chinese/Black-Chinese (same for Syrian and Euro Jamaican, all 14 kids would be involved with that farm. They'd bottle spices, beverages, tonics, oils, produce cassava chips, banana/plantain chips etc. They'd incorporate each owning equal shares and start the next generation into learning the business from the ground up. Travel throughout Jamaica, you'll see thousands of acres of once prosperous and abandoned farm land, along with empty dying interior towns all over Jamaica. All that remains, in these rural/interior areas are old people and a few young ones who their grandparents are taking care of. Too many youth of Jamaica are also a lazy lot. They'd rather wait at home for remittances from family members overseas than to work. The average business in Jamaica can't find competent workers and our unemployment is the lowest in Jamaican history. We're facing labour shortages in all sectors (Dem rather stay home han tun kruff).
But it's not their fault 😢 It's the system, they built another side of land and called it cities, town, modern world 🏢🚘🚖🚌🏨🏫🏘️🏡 surrounded with modern goods 👕👟👠🍔🍕📱💻🛋️🛏️👜 Money 🤑💰💵 💳 that you can afford them🛒🛍️ but, you have to work for it 👷♂️👨🏫👩⚕️👩🎤👨💼👨🎓👩🎓⬅️📚🏙️🚗🏃♂️🏃♀️....🏞️
The youths of today love their digital gadgets more than learning from Dad on how to live sustainably and self-sufficient. This Honorable Rastaman is a golden legend. The price of food crops is steadily rising therefore, his investment in agriculture will only grow bigger and better. One love to all farmers who are keeping the world #alive 🔥🇯🇲🔥 🇯🇲 🔥
How can people steel from a man like this, this man work all his life and when a bandit come and take his stuff is an abomination. We need more people like this.
Even if they don't it's still not right for out side people steal every thing he got, plus he should still give his children instead letting WM come in taking everything, anything they want, I would give to my children, Grandchildren in stead of letting out side rob me blind, most don't know the law.😢😢😢😢
In the warmth of the Jamaican sun and the richness of your fields, you nurture not only crops but hope, resilience, and sustenance. Your work is more than just farming; it’s a vital connection between nature and the people, a source of nourishment for both body and spirit. One Love, my brother, 👍

Please limit the volume of your background music, it’s difficult to hear him. This is very interesting and informative. He’s blessed. His children have no idea what their heritage is. Sad that they are not interested. Many would love to have this opportunity
His 78 is most 48. His father is proud of him, may his children come to appreciate their blessing. This is why many dont have generational wealth, they sell off and lose their inheritance and their children then have nothing. Blessings to this man and his wifey❤
He is absolutely correct, agriculture is the foundation of every nation, it's a mistake to neglect or to abandon farming, i do think the government should provide some form of incentive to encourage the farmers
My dad farm still at 66 year old in the blue mountains . And he’s grooming us to inherit for sure . Coffee farm , thyme , escallion amongst rotational crops , grew up reaping those . And mommy would be selling in the market before she pass off . Grew up with farming being the main source of provision . So farming will forever be flowing in my blood and my future kids and there kids kids yk .

That man has acres of land farmland that is money! Everyone thinks that farin Is a bed of roses and it's not!. It's hard life up here I wish I was one of this man's children.
He just needs a little patch of bamboo to help bring down production costs. What great energy, touching the land will keep you strong. Well done Daddy 👏🏽
Sir you're an inspiration to the world of people who knows how to appreciate honest, hard working father, leaving an inheritance who did not work for it. But God is love.

Love this man. I have been telling my cousins that live in America that they need to go back to Jamaica and help their brothers to run their dad’s farm. They keep saying it’s too hard. But they are working for other people. Complaining about the work they are doing. They are crazy if you ask me.
I love this story, and I fully support him as a farmer. Yes, this kind of farming can be very tough and demanding. However, the end results can be very rewarding. my parents were farmers just like him. God bless you my brother!🙏🔥
I love to see this. If you were my parent I would jump at the chance to live and work in that environment. Too many of us choose foreign, but foreign is not treating us right. We need to respect the land and invest in ourselves. Blessings to you.😊
Love this story 💕and big up Rasta to clean living and all the hard work. I pray your young ones change their mindset and will come back and support your investment. So sad when our children love foreign too much and can't see the riches of yard. Unfortunately time will come when it's too late, because the foreigners are seeing it and grabbing the land with both hands. I'm hoping my children and grand children see the beauty and richness of my home and lands in Jamaica and Africa.
