I have the AM03 bought approximately 10 years ago, as well as a couple other Dyson fans, including the desktop version of the AM03, from that time period. Fast forward 10 years and we have replaced all of them. Why? We struggled over the years with the fact the innards of these fans have become gunned up and filthy with no way to clean them. You'll note, Dyson has converted their ENTIRE fan lineup to 'air purifier' fans that all have have filters, as they must've learned their fans, as awesome as they were when new, over time did not allow the owner to CLEAN the blades on the inside. I still have my fans and search RUclips for others who have taken on the tis of disassembling the older fans for cleaning. So far I've undertaken disassembling and cleaning out the desktop (ring) model and the tall narrow floor model. Now I'm looking for instruction to take apart my AM03. It's pretty tedious and sadly, must be done over and over, so keep that in mind that this is not a one time thing, but you'll need to keep doing it if you keep your fans. We run these fans constantly 365/yr. My daughter with Autism loves the sound of these fans and insists they be powered on all the time.
You're conclusion is: This machine is great and looks fantastic. It is extremely well made, very very useable, contains leading technology, it is brilliant, super effective and high quality.... ...So please tell me, is there really nothing negative to say about the Dyson?
its a shame Apple dont take a leaf out of Dysons book and have similar pricing structures for the US and the UK - we get SO overcharged in the UK for Apple products.
Summer months? Are you really in the UK Dave? lol Not even a proper hot week we had this year, it's been rain for 4 hours, sun for 2 throught the Summer months
- The price is abnormal high for a ventilator. - The noise on a high setting is much higher than they are telling you in the commercials. - Nobody is telling you how long the barrings in this machine will last. - And how do we clean this ventilator??? -With such a high price... they should almost give you a life long guarantee.
Geekanoids thanks. A bit old, this model. I have tried looking around but i do not see any way to open unless i unscrew the machine head screws at the base.
basically this is just an ad for dyson. how bout pointing out the cons of these devices, the big elephant in the room! who's gonna waste/buy a fan for this much money? also i don't think they look that cool btw
i'm sorry, what? if you can justify spending $450 dollars on a FAN that is very noisy, and only looks aesthetically pleasing, you need a reality check. dyson also markets this product saying that traditional fans have "choppy air." sorry, but i'd rather go down to my local hardware store and buy a good quality, $50 "choppy air" fan that works just as well, or even better then these pieces of crap.

Thanks for sharing this information.
Damn that is a good looking fan! And its really quiet! Dyson is like the Apple of vacuums and fans :)
Trevor yeah.. they all SUCK
never knew such fans existed good alternative if you cant install a ac
We can all hope for summer ;D
No, these are just fans. Check my main channel page for the Dyson Hot, that heats the room.

The only negative is the higher price, which makes it a no for many, but I guess you get great quality for your money.
Dave, they would be useful if it didn't rain continuously during those summer months like it is now. ;)
Nice these. Been looking at em for a while now :)
Yes.
At full power, yes.
Awesome video Dave but Summer Months? When do we ever get them in the UK. LOL!
US price does not inc tax.
So how do you clean the air ducts?
Far to expensive but at the same point so damn cool that I want one :)
Used these. They are amazing.
What summer months? :/ Hardly got any summer in the UK this year... or is it still to come? :P
planning on getting the AM01
its a shame Apple dont take a leaf out of Dysons book and have similar pricing structures for the US and the UK - we get SO overcharged in the UK for Apple products.
I want the AMO2 it just look futuristic
Dose the am03 or 07 stronger air flow than the tower ones I got the tp01 and it’s not as strong air flow as my normal fan
Sorry I no longer have this to check.
Summer months? Are you really in the UK Dave? lol Not even a proper hot week we had this year, it's been rain for 4 hours, sun for 2 throught the Summer months
Does it have a good strong wind like a normal fan? or is it much weaker to use near the user?
Did you factor US tax plus the difference in earnings?
It feels good, I actually tried.
The AM02.
Could you answer a question Please, which one has stronger airflow???? The round or oval,? Tks.
The round.
Geekanoids thank You, much appreciated!
:D
Which do you prefer?
- The price is abnormal high for a ventilator.
- The noise on a high setting is much higher than they are telling you in the commercials.
- Nobody is telling you how long the barrings in this machine will last.
- And how do we clean this ventilator???
-With such a high price... they should almost give you a life long guarantee.
bro shut it...why you so butthurt
A/C is the way ahead. Mine was cheaper & its quieter at night than those fans.
Is it possible to open up AM02 to clean up the filter....
I no longer have this to check but the filter should be accessible.
Geekanoids thanks. A bit old, this model. I have tried looking around but i do not see any way to open unless i unscrew the machine head screws at the base.
I love Dyson products such as my Dyson Vacuum DC35 but this fan is a bit over price.
does either fan heat a room ?
I've seen them in best buy. They look great. But, I can't see myself dropping $450 + tax for a fan.
holy shit, this is the Apple of fans
Looks nice, but nothing new. Blade less fans have been in use in Japan for quite some time.
Hmmmm, if I had the money yes.
Great product but a tad expensive in hard time!
$600 AUS per one thats fucking insane
Soo true.
So nice, but man crazy expensive. For rich people
with that Noise they say quieter ? LOL sorry when he increase the speed im like WHAT ? that noise im sure my sleep gonna be intrerupt .
you sure thats not the am02 instead of am02
Im sorry, for that price i will buy a window air conditioner, or even a floor one.
Im gonna stick with " AIRCON " for now .
+Jason Ng I will stick with a 10 dollar fan, does the same job, might not be fancy looking, but 10 dollars vs 400 dollars, no thank you.
very nice but out of my price range
$450 for a fan.. Lol hmm fan or spend $50 for an iPad.. I think I'd take an iPad. Haha they are pretty sweet though.
u know they arent technically bladeless? to create wind they use blades that you cant see.. lmfao
Really good looking just to over priced :/
basically this is just an ad for dyson. how bout pointing out the cons of these devices, the big elephant in the room! who's gonna waste/buy a fan for this much money? also i don't think they look that cool btw
I'd rather just open the window
lol
Too cheap for me
