That was a fun and funny video. Thank you for sharing these infrequent fails in addition to your usual successes. Anyone who likes to mix drinks can relate! Cheers!
Thank you so much! And yes, I think it’s important to show that it’s not always perfect, or even “good”… but the journey can still be fun, even with the failures! Makes the wins more sweet 😂
So the less is Hemingway was a damaged person who should avoid lime juice and champagne? No doubt! Great to know a champagne cocktail can go so wrong... a cautionary tale! Thank you for this Jess!
Our wedding anniversary and Thanksgiving are the same day...we celebrate with French 75s. Delicious!! Have you tried using Meyer lemons with it...over the top.
Great fun video. This year we opted to use local hard cider (some using wild fermentation) instead of Prosecco or Champagne. Not sure if you saw on my Instagram did the Cider Cocktail (champagne cocktail) and a French 75 variant with apple brandy. Both fantastic. As for the death in the afternoon if memory serves I kinda liked it but I like absinthe as a sipper, rather dry 3:1 ratio of champagne to absinthe, did prefer it when I did a Mojito style version using absinthe instead of rum and champagne instead of soda water. Mint helped a lot. Happy new year 🥳
Using hard cider sounds like a wonderful variation! I’ll try that! But I still don’t think anything will help that death in the afternoon nonsense… 😂 Happy New Year!!!
Haha you content is funny and interesting. I never have heard about this three cocktails before, but not suprised, champagne is not my favourite drink. Keep going, best regards 😊😊
I refused to open a bottle of champagne at an engagement party last month, because I knew it wouldn't go over well... My wife got someone to open the bottle and he hit himself right in the head with the cork... then on New Year's Eve, I opened a bottle and there was no overflow... then I walked across the room as it was foaming over getting everywhere... As long as you're having fun while doing it, it's never wrong...
It’s always a test… the champagne bottle opening, that is. But man, do I love that sound. My friends consider it my personal bell. As in, as soon as a bottle goes “pop”, I’ll appear 😂
Who has more fun than you recording? Ha! Though next year it sounds like you might need some professional help in the form of Mr Vino! Happy New Year, my dear! 😉🥂🍾
First of all- I need SO MUCH professional help 😂🤣 And second, if you’re sellin, I’m buying. 2023 NYE collab, here we come!!! Cheers, my friend. It’s gonna be a great year 😉🍾🥂

YOU, my friend are always number 1!!!
Made some French 75’s for our Xmas lunch, very nice. Similar to a Tom Collins. Mine did the exact same thing an overflowed on every one

Now imagine this video would've come out just some 30mins after Vino's 3 x sparkling wine New Year's set...🤭
I wish I had his video a week BEFORE filming this so I could have included that French 95! THAT cocktail sounds delightful!! Happy New Year 🥰
