- Steel Vengeance is widely considered to be the worlds best roller coaster & its very easy to see why. Made my Rocky Mountain Construction, this was the iBox conversion of the old wooden roller coaster called Mean Streak that closed in 2017, turning the furthest end of the park into the wildest and baddest section of Cedar Point! Height:205ft MPH:74 Length:5740ft
i genuinely feel bad for any thrill seekers that don’t have the luxury of getting a chance to experience this incredible ride
I feel bad for me too this coaster looks like it more than deserves it's ranking as one of the best coasters in the world
I try to make myself feel better by saying its just overrated 😂
I couldn’t go because it broke right before they were about too fall
Those noises during the finale were gold lmao. Pretty much describes that finale though. It's insane!
It really does 🤙🏽
I always notice this while riding. Its kinda spooky lmao but theres a whole suspension system on these trains so that gives me some relief
The noises on those bunny hills got you a new sub, my friend!
@@Ewoonation That’s what we like to hear 🤌🏽We have so much more coming man 🥃
The back row pov’s are the best. You really get a sense of speed and airtime.
What an unrelenting brilliant ride. Great video
Thanks! Make sure you’re subbed for Way more 🥃
I still don't see what is meant by 'air time'?
@@carterjeremy89 when you go over a hump, you are lifted up out of your seat to effectively feel zero gravity … airtime .. 👍👍
@@jonjon7311 hmm ok I see now. So far I only been on the Gemini, Iron Dragon and Corkscrew. Trying to conquer some of my fears of roller coasters. Seen many videos on steel vengeance and I am tempted..
You can literally see people lift out of their seat on this multiple times and for prolonged periods of time, this ride has SO much airtime. Wow.
27.2 seconds of air time to be exact.
I didn’t get much when I rode it. The midcourse was almost stopping the train each ride I got so the second half had nothing except for the finale
@Fattyfish7 I still liked it for what it was, but I can’t rank it as high because the midcourse hindered the ride’s potential for me
A work of art. Just went on this for the first time last weekend...just spectacular
I can just feel the airtime from watching this video.
WolfWasTaken you can i have been on it and this very realistic
I REALLY wanted Steel Vengeance to be my first RMC. Since I moved to Florida 3 months ago, looks like Iron Gwazi is gonna be the first...Had a long love of Mean Streak. Rides on that with the sunsets through the lattice work of the lift hill were amazing.
This thing throws you around like a rag doll. I hope to ride it sometime
You’ll love this thing to bits 🥃
It’s throws you around but is very smooth. It’s a great mix
@@EastCoasters he sure will
My favorite rollercoaster of all time!
90% of the whole worlds population’s favorite ride of all time lol🥃
@@EastCoasters And for good reason!
Second favorite of all time behind maverick! I love keeping my hands as high as possible & trying to touch the wood while everyone else puts them down in fear 😂😂
Really makes me want to ride this one day.... when I finally visit North America
Got to be the best rollercoaster on the planet. Well done RMC.
This looks freakin insane!!!! Non stop craziness!!!!
The worm hole at the end is f***ing amazing!!
One of the best on the planet. See you late August 2024. Cant wait! Just an absolute monster.
This ride is soooo good! I rode it for the first time and was at cedar point for the first time two days ago
Those head choppers after the mid course is my favorite part. It’s like getting pulled into a black hole.
Quality channel:: POVs are on point !
Way more coming always, unlike other channels that go ghost 🤌🏽🥃
LOVE the Vengeance! Thanks for the video and glad you got to enjoy this amazing ride!!
I rode steal vengeance back row for my first ride it was amazing.
This ride was fun, but it hurts so bad! All i could do is watch the lady in yellow slam into the sides of the car every turn. That was what it did to me when i rode it. Had bruises on my arms after this. More padding and this would be my favorite ride!
I rode this coaster for the first time ever yesterday x2...OMG. ⚠️ this is not for a novice rider. The reason for the lockers and the metal detector and wanding before you go up to the loading ramp is for 💯safety! This ride is a bandit and will steal anything off you that ain't tied down.(including your face) lol. 10/10 advanced rider ride
This is the best seat on the ride and especially at night steel vengeance at night is so insane
Definitely 🤌🏽
@@EastCoasters I miss this ride so much can’t wait till may thanks for this video
@@blainebasil6577 you got it, make sure you’re subscribed for way more🥃
@@EastCoasters yes sir cheers to that
It’s the only seat to make the ride good. Feels like a kiddie ride in any other row.
You can tell there is massive airtime cause the person in the yellow sweatshirt is legit flying out of their seat
100%
27.2 seconds of air time total. You’re hardly ever in your seat.
0:48 yellow girl got some air time
Can’t wait to ride this.
All hail SteVe 😎
Bruh I went here today I rode this 3 times it was my 4th ever rollercoaster actually amazing
how tf u sneak a camera on
My worst, most horrible, pain-filled, miserable coaster experience (Mean Streak) and my best coaster experience on essentially the same footprint.
I would love to ride this animal in person! Alas some day....
Make it a goal Kevin 🤙🏽🥃
i dont know if i can wait another 5 months to get back on this
you get a real sense of the air time from the hair on the girl in front of you
By far my favorite coaster still! I need to check out Iron Gwazi to compare notes.
Going next weekend to ride it for the first time!
Great video!
Thanks! A new 5K one/ same ride will be posted soon!
Hee Hee Hee this ride is fun my friend Brian loves roller coasters we ride the Superman ride and that ride has a long drop but my friend Brian loves riding it
May I use this footage for a review? I will give you full credit.
Absolutely.
We also have a back row 5K POV as well🥃
@@EastCoasters cool, and thanks!
The first hill after the drop looks like hitting a speed bump
I hear what sounds like one of the wheels squealing multiple times throughout the ride. That's kinda scary. Is that normal?
It freaks me out because the wheels were squealing on both Mind Bender and Big Thunder Mountain before they derailed, and it turns out that one of the wheels were loose. I would imagine that one of the most premier parks in the world would take great care of their coasters, but still. Squealing is never a good thing.
That’s normal. That’s a wheel bearing.
Technically, you shouldn't hear that amount of squeaking. From a mechanical point of view, it's not great. But likely it could have been heat or strain borne, meaning some grease or replacement happened days later. It's a scary sound, but easily fixed. If NOT repaired, it can cause dangerous damage over time. I'm sure Cedar Point tries to stay on top of such things. Then again, the almighty $$$ rules. I'd chance it, tho. 😅
Dont think that guy should of yelled!... Those wheels are coming off!!! ...???
That was me, and they were screeching like crazy that day 🤌🏽
How did you even get a camera on this ride, CP is my home park and they dont even allow glasses on the ride and the wand you and metal detect you before getting on so, HOW TF
it is 86 secends from the moment the train leavs the lift hill to the breaks
Minority opinion: there should be a bar to hold onto if needed.
It seems comical the way the person in front of you flies out of their seat on almost every element in a cartoonish way
Lady in front of you had that lap bar hella loose
how did you get your camera through the metal detector?
If I share my method, other people are going to try to do the same thing.
@@EastCoasters 😐
@@noahb2804 glasses with a hidden camera on them
We don’t use those glasses, they can’t produce this kind of stability.🤌🏽
@@Himothy900 it's a Gopro i'm pretty sure
Mate I'm going to sandusky ohio tf
Yeah. Never gonna ride that.
Great POV 👍
Thank you 🥃
I worked at Cedar Point years ago and was assigned to the Mean Streak. A lot of people didn’t like it, but I loved it. Especially loved “testing” it out in the morning before the park opened…which meant a nonstop ride around for a few times lol. I’m glad to see that Steel Vengeance kept the integrity of Mean Streak.
I have nothing but fond memories of Mean Streak. I don't want to mention the ride op at the time but the crew was great and I got kinda friendly with the ride op (and crew) and was given a few trimless rides. Holy Crap...the difference was remarkable. TOTALLY different ride without the trims on the first drop. I am jealous you got a few non-stop rides in the morning. I would marathon it at night, 8 or 9 times as there was never any line for it.
This is why I feel that an RMC El Toro would not be a bad thing. It would make the ride smoother and snappier.
El toro has bigger foundation and structure problems so a refurb is looking pretty tough right now
@@OrdinaryPigeon1 eh. Rmc would make el toro feel like all their other rides, unless the tight footprint forces them to keep it as forceful as it is.
Mean Streak was great before it started getting rough
The best part is seeing how much airtime the person in front of you gets
hairtime!
The airtime and visuals make it one of the best
why is no one talking about the guy who is keeping his hands up the whole time. I'd be so scared that i would hit the wood on the top.
Literally just rode this it’s awesome
I know 😎
I think the woman in front is airborne!
She was!🥃
1:33 When you're in the back this little hill is probably the best part of the ride
Agree 1000%, airtime into a head chopper.... glorious.
Had the opportunity to ride this twice yesterday, waiting 21 minutes and 19 minutes respectively. First time on dragster back in the day was beyond incredible, but that was over in mere seconds. Both rides on this coaster reset the bar on what it means to ride a coaster. My second ride was in the second to last row, and the airtime was sublime. The lapbar was tight (thanks ride operator), but i still felt my rear end completely off the seat for a tremendous 4-5 second straight over the outbanked hill shortly after the drop. The total air time is amazing, but its the duration of some of the air time hills that sets this ride apart. That and the disorienting nature of diving through the structure inverted or otherwise.
Scariest experience of my life lmfao riding back car steel
All the people want to ride rollercoasters by sitting in the front row which has its advantages but in terms of adrenalin the last rows are the best!! The front row always has to "wait" for the rest of the cars to drop down the hills while the seats in the back get the extra pull effect which can make the difference between an okay ride and a phenomenal ride especially if the coaster cars are relatively long.
Poor old lady got beat the hell up
The goat of cedar point.
Funny watching ppl put the hands down on this and the Gemini cuz there scared of the optical illusion lmao. Like Cedar Point wouldn’t have atleast 5 foot gap from a 6 foot man’s hand when putting hands up. Now up your Lebron James 6’9 height I wouldn’t put my hands up. But look at the end. Hard to imagine a human reaching up and grabbing that. And the distance is the same lengths throughout. They should have a tester pad on the first little corner and if u can touch it. Then keep your hands down.
Rode this last week in the back. It’s a great ride but be prepared. That back seat was violent
Mean Streak so much better.
Instigator lol
I can’t wait to ride this when I go next weekend!
Bucket List Ride 🥃
It's gonna be packed dude. Except 3 hour lines
Luckily, I have early entry and fast lane plus
Those are always in my Arsenal of weapons 🤌🏽
@@EastCoasters how were you even allowed to take out your camera during the ride?
What type of camera do u use?
I have a really bad fear of heights, is this ride good for me?
It’s not as tall as the others in the park. You’ve got this!
Why is with people holding their arms up? What like 'hey look at me, not holding on'?
It makes the ride 100% more freeing and allows your body to move with the ride.
I’ve read about and seen too many people fall to their deaths online to ever put my hands up on a ride again..
