I still can’t get over how the engineers at RMC designed those restrains and trains. There’s ONE strap to hold onto and no where to hold onto the lap bar. It’s an evil genius that makes you take the airtime & appreciates it.
And what’s funny is I’d believe that ONE strap is actually meant for the ride operators to help pull the restraint up because they are heavy and I even found them somewhat difficult to push up sometimes. I imagine some kids have trouble.
I know all the rides that just have a pullback bar they all have a handle on them but the steel vengeance next year im getting on it no matter what lol my friends have been on it and they say its really fun so im going to try it. And the lapser has ONLY One story to hold onto and if I hold on to that my hold hand will come off of it
MD M - I think you missed the point of the comment (if a horse starts jumping around the best thing to do so that you don’t fall off is stand up, trying to stay seated is almost guaranteeing your own calamity)
Unfortunately I’m guilty of that. I rode el torro like that. There was a handle on the seat in front of me and I hung onto that. I wasn’t leaned super far forward. Next time I won’t do that.
Madeline Garber rides are worse when you don’t watch what’s coming up ahead. So when scared people ride rollercoasters and close their eyes, or look down (like this guy) or scream.. the lack of anticipation makes the rollercoasters 10 times scarier. You feel hills more of you exhale just before the downward hill starts, so screaming makes your stomach feel the hills much worse than normal breathing.. and the best technique for those who don’t like the feeling in their stomach.. is to take a deep breath just as the hill starts and slowly exhale (as needed) - you’ll barely feel the big hills.
Alex G omg right. some of the lines are literally like a 3 hour wait. you have to go super early in the morning as soon as they open to even get to ride a decent amount of rides.
@@jb3702if you run into a set of harsh breaks you could slam forward into the seat in front of you with substantial force causing serious injury, also being bent over like this isn’t good for your back when your body is being exposed to strong g-forces. They love doing a good gentle climb up to really maximize the fear for those who have it. And then they just overwhelm the senses with a massive kick of adrenaline and hyperawareness. And as it wears off at the end you get a new hit of endorphins. A potent mix of hormones that for most os extremely addicting. The trick is getting past that initial fear. For some they have to work up. For others they jump in the deep end.
I love seeing first timers on coaster, their reactions are priceless and this gentleman’s is no exception. Some people just can’t handle them and some can
Michael North i went to cedar point on Saturday and i rode it 4 times and had my hands up all 4 times it makes it so much more fun and im 13 years old 😂 i rode top thrill dragster 13 times also and its so exelirating or however you spell it
I'm kind of amazed he rode it with his glasses--on a big intense coaster I usually remove mine. Admittedly the thrills get a little blurry. I guess he's got a fairly sturdy strap there.
I love Cedar Point, but on my last visit they were SO frustratingly inconsistent about what was allowed on which rides (especially coasters). On one, just "Keep your arms and legs in the train at all times." In another, "No hats, glasses, or packages are allowed on this ride. Please place those items in the red (or green or blue) box on the platform and claim them when you return." In yet another, after my 30-minute wait in line: "Sir, this ride cannot accommodate carry-on packages. And, NO, we don't have any place for you to leave your package on the platform. We cannot be held liable. You'll need to leave." And it was COMPLETELY unpredictable which rides would have which policies. That is a huge failure on CP's part, and a huge reason for me not to re-visit.
a2mark57 A good tip is most inverted coasters will have the rule for you to take your hat and glasses off or loose shoes and put them in the box on the ride. Most sit down coasters otherwise are just "keep your hands, feet, legs in the ride". Carry-ons depend on what kind of item, but usually you want to put stuff in a locker before the ride if that's the case.
A good trick my mother has always used when going to parks like these is taking a pair of old glasses that you no longer wear/no longer care about and keep your good good glasses in the car. That way if the others get lost you have nothing to lose ;)
I love how the operator overhears him and adds, "27.2..." And wow, I would love to ride this in that kind of fog, where halfway up the lift hill, the world below fades into the mist...
Those final ejectors look similar to Magnum’s. Makes me hope that this is more gentle than Magnum’s hills. That ride tries to amputate you at the knees!
Yes the bunny hills into the station are reminiscent of maggie. except there more of them the track is smoother but the ejector is just as violent if not more so because theres more of them. definitely my least fave part of SV except for the harsh turn and stop on the mid course breaks. otherwise some of it fittingly feels like riding a bucking bronco lol its an interesting combo of loud lift hill quiet smooth ride with sharp twists and turns unique elements long ride head choppers in the inversions and violent bunny hills (ejector air not the seat or restraints) yet a smooth ride and very comfortable seats and restraints. an interesting combo or floater and ejector air. we rode in the back row though. it's more intense just like any roller coaster that pulls it weight while you're in it lol.
Ok, important update: I rode this thing today! It’s absolutely nuts! It’s hard to describe exactly what it was like, but half the ride I thought I was going to be sent into orbit! It’s so fast and relentless, but smooth like butter. The final ejectors pop you up pretty sharply, but it’s enjoyable and painless. The restraints are not that bad. They do go around your legs and shins, but they are soft and leave a little bit of wiggle room (so it’s not like you are cemented in place, but are still safely secured). There’s nothing for you to hold onto except ONE cloth strap on the leg restraint..and this is off to the side so you can only use one hand to grab onto it. I would say my favorite part is the twisted snake dive. It makes you feel like you are going up yet another hil, but then it just takes a very sudden plunge that sends you out of your seat (again). I have to ride it again to make a final opinion on it and give it a rank in my favorite coasters list, but I can say it’s up in my top five! The bad news is: this ride was closed more than it was open today. Lots of mechanical issues and when our train rolled into the station, we were locked into the ride for about ten minutes because the restraints wouldn’t release. They had to get someone to manually disengage the lap bars. The ride shut down after we got off and was down for another hour or so. It’s a new ride and it’s expected to have problems. Hope they get them fixed soon!

I think just sitting there waiting for it to start moving and building up the anticipation is the scariest part. Once you get that first hill done the rest is a lot less scary..lol
I had the weirdest dream about this coaster last night.i went to CP with some friend who doesnt exist and we were waiting the fast lane for this coaster anyways we were some of the first people to get on the coaster for the day and it was in this giant garage/cover type thing for some reason. it finally opens up to reveal the awesome new SV included with the "dum. dum. DUM-DUUUUUMMM" music! anyways me and my friend get on towards the back. for some reason instead of two seats it had 4 seats like a B&M. my friend was crying because she was scared for some reason....yea weird...anyways we climb up the hill and finally head down the drop! the drop is suddenly surrounded by water on both sides! however i had no feeling....i mean the drop had no effect on me i was like "that was it...??" while everyone else is screaming and cheering. then suddenly the coaster turns into some weird Disney World/Universal Studios-esque dark ride based off some action movie scenes.
RMC is totally killing it with these twisty coasters! Twisted colossus is probably the most absurd and ridiculously ridiculous amount of fun I have ever had on a coaster. Even when it doesn’t race by the way, but on the kind of off chance it doesn’t, it’s still crazy psycho silly fun. Haha.
Back row perfection. Smooth, dynamic, and does the legend of Mean Streak well. Glad this reporter rode this masterpiece, even though his style of assuming crash position on an airliner was unique.
You GP, not all elements are called barrel rolls! (what's worse is that this ride doesn't even have any -.-). I love how the guy behind was just smiling with his hands in the air, that's how you do it; but hey, at least you were entertaining ;p (not sure why you were trying to talk during the ride though, among other things we couldn't hear a word you were saying)
I always enjoy hearing from people who ride my favorite coasters that are not enthusiasts. It's amazing someone as scared as him ride such a great RMC like Steel Vengeance. I will never forget riding it for the first time myself. It felt so surreal since I'd been wanting to ride it for months (I rode it opening year). It was everything I'd dreamed of and more. :)
TheDeathMonkeyShow I can tell you right now that it’s the best ride at CP. I rode it 3 times in a row and was still out of breath after the 3rd time. It’s absolutely insane. Ride back row if you can, or close to the back. You’ll get the best airtime there.
I’m sad right now because they change the height too 48 too 52 and right now I’m 49 and I can’t ride it no more and I didn’t get too ride it! 😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢 and I really wanted too ride it!
Next time take an extra hit of original Dramamine and you won't feel a thing. At my age, I have to do that before riding coasters like this or I don't enjoy the ride 😀
Because it is an antihistamine. Most antihistamines cause a lot of drowsiness like diphenhydramine (benadryl, tylenol PM. But I also know from personal experience... when I was 13 I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain for my birthday for the very first time. I often got car sick so my parents gave me some dramamine for the 2 hour car drive. Unfortunately, I could hardly stay awake all day and spent my time between rides napping. It was a real bummer.
haha I know.. I’m just giving you a hard time.. I’ve legit watched all the videos on this thing over the past year, and now the first POV’s look insanely fast. I can’t wait to get up there and try this bad boy, it’s rare things live up to their expectations and this coaster seems to have hit it out of the park!
I didn’t even know that was a thing… That’s lame. The front row is such a unique experience, I would have waited the extra time for that every time I rode it. Such an Ohio thing to do….

Boštjan Čadež We’ve got a real comedian here...
Boštjan Čadež Only in America.
the old man just chilling in the background was hilarious
Just rode it Friday I looked just like this guy truly a treasure of engineering and a great coaster unbelievable
That wasn’t a thrill ride, that was a life altering experience.
My face survived the Steel Vengeance! No other ride has given me that true Running Man experience!
The guy behind the reporter is cute.
Hed clap your cheeks good
@@efaciler2462 i hope so
Black jacket guy didn’t hold on to anything the entire time. That’s awesome! 🤣🤣
That guy officially lost his man card
pls the a guy in the back is jus looking like like ‘ foo sit back ‘
RMC is totally killing it with these twisty coasters! Twisted colossus is probably the most absurd and ridiculously ridiculous amount of fun I have ever had on a coaster. Even when it doesn’t race by the way, but on the kind of off chance it doesn’t, it’s still crazy psycho silly fun. Haha.
It’s the clicking that really gets in your head first.
all the gp are scared of the coaster too while all the enthusiasts are laughing out a lung
girl in teal jacket: how I ride coasters
guy in blue jacket: how I FEEL riding coasters
guy in black jacket: how the rest of my family rides coasters
No-hands guy behind would be me!
Have you ever noticed that they always bring in one reporter who HATES coasters and another person who LOVES them?
Back row perfection. Smooth, dynamic, and does the legend of Mean Streak well. Glad this reporter rode this masterpiece, even though his style of assuming crash position on an airliner was unique.
Kudos for being able to talk during the ride. I was left speechless and my legs were shaking so bad as I tried to disembark.
Dang that is so tall it gets foggier the more you go the taller it is
He made just about the worst mistake you can make by leaning Forward the way that he did.
1:48 "holy shit" HAHAHAHA
Never did I think someone would stare at live news and do their hair behind the seat of the news reporters
hello luffy pfp
was he forced to do that?
This is THE BEST ride at CP. Last time though I'm not sure if I had more fun riding this ride or laughing at my sister 😂😂
0MindSwept0 the way he kept ducking reminded me of the guest on planet coaster
Fucking normies
This
You're doing more to hurt the roller coaster community than anything this guy said.
0MindSwept0 true
The guy behind in the black sweatshirt was like this is nothing.
I'm 11 and I would not be freaking out that much...
Because I wouldn't go on it so I wouldn't be able to!
Stfu
They haven't even taken off and dude has me hollering🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
WHOS THE HOTTIE BEHIND U? :p
Fiendstein your mom
Rekt
so ur dad looks like my mom now? Xd
how tf is he meant to know?
Love the random dude behind him having a blast
The way he was sitting is almost how I sit. I try to curl myself up into a ball on the rollercoasters that scare me, just I'm still sitting up XD
That guy in the black jacket is me on any ride lol
I just watched the POV... this looks like it's about to be a classic. I can't wait to ride it in person.
TheDeathMonkeyShow I can tell you right now that it’s the best ride at CP. I rode it 3 times in a row and was still out of breath after the 3rd time. It’s absolutely insane. Ride back row if you can, or close to the back. You’ll get the best airtime there.
Im so excited im gonna ride that may 2nd is it rough?
lil brookie No, RMC (the manufacturers) have a greatreputation for smooth but forceful coasters.
Smooth as a supermodel's ass!
It’s new

RMC

I play roblox too

Smooth ride
I’m going April 30th
J&B Trick Shot Crew same
1:18 i love how he gets cut off by the SteVe lift hill noise it made me laugh so hard lol
that queen should be riding the tea cups, not a coaster
This is the only coaster I truly CANT keep a strait face on!
Hold on to your sass-farilla and get ready for some twisting, turning and richocheting. Hold on tight. Like if you know this
The reporter is my spirit animal.
Best ride ever ... once you ride this at Cesar point it’s makes all the other rides feel like nothing
I went on it and EVERY coaster afterwards STILL feels more intense! I can't say ANY other coaster has done that to me! This ride changed me man!
Exactly, when I ride I never close my eyes or put my head down
I’m sad right now because they change the height too 48 too 52 and right now I’m 49 and I can’t ride it no more and I didn’t get too ride it! 😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢 and I really wanted too ride it!
Unicorn Mira Holley
Eat more spinach.
Unicorn Mira Holly
Whear those wedges in your shoes that make you 3 inchs taller
Buy those things that you put in your shoes. Have fun. :)
Fuck you.
Hell call John Kaisch and complain
I would love to see his on-ride static photo.
Next time take an extra hit of original Dramamine and you won't feel a thing. At my age, I have to do that before riding coasters like this or I don't enjoy the ride 😀
MD M lol wtf yeah if u want to feel doped up in the worst way and fall asleep the whole day at the park.
Ben, I'm 61, love coasters and at my age, trying to avoid a heart attack on these rides 😀😀😀
Ben Parker Dramamine is for motion sickness, not sure how you can get doped up on it.
MD M Does it work well? I have a family member who loves rollercoasters but is afraid to ride them due to his high blood pressure.
Is the guy in the black jacket not cracking anyone else up? 😂😂
Didnt even look....lol
he thought those little bunny hoos were bad.
Try the ones on twisted colossus
Twisted Colossus has nothing on SteelVengeance.
How do you know? Have you ridden it?
Unless you have been on both rides, it's just chatting up your home park.
haha I know..
Such an Ohio thing to do….
i basically just got back from my trip (from cedar point) & this was really funny to watch because i loved this ride !!
