Oh my gosh! I’ve been plant based for 4 yrs, lost 30lbs eating this way and have been able to keep it off for the time in my life. I made your sweet potato tacos yesterday (recipe in the video above) and they are literally the BEST plant-based food I have eaten thus far! Seriously. The raspberry sauce is an unexpected fabulous addition. And I’m not even a fan of raspberry. Thank you so much! They will be a weekly staple in my house. They are easy, delicious, and taste like something you would get at a restaurant. Keep the recipe videos coming, love you and wish you much success!!
I grew up on meat meals (74 now) And when I was 20 years old, I had to have B12 injections 3 times a week for a while because I was lacking B12!! Meat eaters definitely do get low on B12, especially as they age so its not just vegans that need to be careful. In olden days, people with pernicious anemia, low on B12 had to eat raw liver!! Thank goodness for supplements. And thank goodness for you Kiki. :)
18:52 the farmed animals are supplemented with B12 shots and vitamins in their feed so we just take the supplment directly instead of eating their bodies ❤
Love this series! You are so good at reinforcing the 50-50 method principles and helping me stay on track. THEN, you give great, easy recipes that can be put together with a minimum of fuss (I don't want to spend two hours in the kitchen - life is short!) so I don't have to eat the same boring thing days in a row. I used your taco recipe as a guideline and substituted ingredients with what I had on hand (white potatoes, Anaheim peppers, hand made corn tortillas etc) and eliminated items that my family doesn't enjoy on our tacos (pineapple or the raspberry lime sauce). Even so my four year old wanted me to let you know that they were DELICIOUS!!

I thought the combination of flavors in the sweet potato tacos sounded pretty strange, but I was in the mood for something different, so I made them (and your black bean salsa and raspberry sauce). Oh my goodness! I'm so glad I did. Even my omnivorous husband is enjoying them. So yummy!

I made these tacos tonight and it was a hit with the family. I didn’t add the jalapeños to their tacos and I did use a different sauce. I made a cheesy sauce with nutritional yeast and hummus as I know my kids wouldn’t have liked the raspberries sauce. I was very surprised that the sweet potatoes didn’t overwhelm the flavor as I initially thought it would. So delicious! Thank you KiKi!

I made a nourish bowl today :) mostly vege (base 200g courgette and 100gram spinach) then added 95grams tuna 30 grams avo and 6 sliced cherry tomatoes also added 100grams each of cucumber and capsicum :) For 330 calories I think I did alright..
Great video! A helpful tip about turmeric is that it’s super anti inflammatory! Also adding a pinch of black pepper when using turmeric makes the anti inflammatory properties work 10x better! I have bad TMJ in my jaw and can feel a big difference when I regularly consume it.
will try tacos for sure with raspberry sauce looks great,. I do a similar breakfast ,my favorite I put 3 C. frozen mixed or stirfry veg in a skillet,add a diced sweet potato on top(pre-cooked) and a bunch of chopped kale or spinich add a tish of water and cook for 5-10 min drizzel on sweet chile sauce and enjoy. It is my favorite breakfast. Thanks for all the great easy recipes!!Love your channel.

If you add black pepper with tumeric, it will activate a compound in the tumeric called curcumin. Curcumin has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect and is a strong antioxidant.

Also does it work to freeze leftover tacos or wraps? What about a pre made wrap in the freezer? For all your recipes will the Gluten Free 1:1 work just fine? Is Gold Mine organic Masa Harina corn flour the same as corn masa? Best corn tortilla for tasty chips versus just tacos, or use the same? Looks great! For your curry, you might think of finding a stainless steel splatter screen. You just lay it over your pot. The mesh allows steam to escape but keeps the spatter in. Mine is dishwasher safe. One of those little inexpensive tools that makes life so much easier. :) Happy Thanksgiving!

Me too. I just replied to another comment on here that I regret ordering big time. I ordered mine too on October 27th and still nothing. I don't even want them anymore. I wonder if I can contact them and cancel my order. It's not like it's shipped yet. IDK. Theres no way I'm going to use a supplement regularly if it takes this long to get to me.
Oh and according to my dr’s scale I have lost more than I thought so I am down 35lbs. 25 since June. My starting weight was based on that scale. Looking forward to organizing my kitchen and foods to do the maximum weight loss more seriously. Have another 35-40lbs to go. I have had so much stress that I have had a hard time getting organized or staying focused. Almost done with some large things in the home but good news is that my husband was approved for his green card yesterday even though I lost my job...so I don’t have to worry about home valuation and appeal or selling everything to leave the US any time soon. Yay!

according to all the books ive read, iodized salt does not supply enough iodine. You could read the book "Iodine, why you need it, why you can't live without it" by dr David Brownstein, and the book "Your body in balance " by dr Neal Barnard for information on iodine

I coat my vegies with ( leftover ) aquafaba and than add spices . Everything sticks . Better than water . Love your recipes and the show. Thanks

For most of Kiki's coating processes I like a paper bag, shake, pour onto the parchment paper. Less mess and more even coating.

Beautiful pics in cookbook! I can’t wait to get the right staples & get going with these fun recipes!! For healthy gluten free tacos what kind of “tasty” corn tortilla do you buy? Also does it work to freeze leftover tacos or wraps? What about a pre made wrap in the freezer? For all your recipes will the Gluten Free 1:1 work just fine? Is Gold Mine organic Masa Harina corn flour the same as corn masa? Best corn tortilla for tasty chips versus just tacos, or use the same? Home made tacos are kind of new to me & I know the right shell makes a big difference. Thanks for all your inspiring words & sharing your journey with us!!! ⭐️

Looks great! For your curry, you might think of finding a stainless steel splatter screen. You just lay it over your pot. The mesh allows steam to escape but keeps the spatter in. Mine is dishwasher safe. One of those little inexpensive tools that makes life so much easier. :) Happy Thanksgiving!

where did you get your small wooden bowls where you put your spices in.
the spoons I got at world market and the container I got of of amazon. You can check the amazon page on my website because I have some wooden utensils linked there:)
You can buy the small bowl for salt at Walmart's and at Marshall's a larger one I love them
How are you liking the Breville oven/air fryer combo? Do you prefer it to just an air fryer by itself?

Oh and according to my dr’s scale I have lost more than I thought so I am down 35lbs. 25 since June. My starting weight was based on that scale. Looking forward to organizing my kitchen and foods to do the maximum weight loss more seriously. Have another 35-40lbs to go.
I have had so much stress that I have had a hard time getting organized or staying focused. Almost done with some large things in the home but good news is that my husband was approved for his green card yesterday even though I lost my job...so I don’t have to worry about home valuation and appeal or selling everything to leave the US any time soon. Yay!

If I eat iodized salt do you know if I should still take that vitamin or will I get to much iodine? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you. I just got your book in the mail I love it!!
according to all the books ive read, iodized salt does not supply enough iodine. You could read the book "Iodine, why you need it, why you can't live without it" by dr David Brownstein, and the book "Your body in balance " by dr Neal Barnard for information on iodine
