Still praying to God to afford to buy a kit... in the meantime i bought me some sticks and im drumming all over the house...especially in the kitchen. Looking forward to the day when my prayers will be answered and i can practice what u teach... thanks... amazing
I'm not religious, so I can't help out with that. But I suggest you try your best to save up some money and buy a kit! Try to find one second hand, you can get away cheaper that way. Thanks for watching, mate!
Keep it up and you are not alone! I have a snare and hi hat. The rest is practice pad and chair. Just hitting all this and different part of it for different sound! 💪🏾
Thanks for watching! I'm not actually sure if there are any specific rudiments for latin drumming, but I guess you can use any rudiment and apply it to latin/afro-cuban drumming. (I think I use a lot of inverted double strokes for some latin grooves!)
I am just starting to read music, but I don't get this. When you hit the snare I noticed when slowing the video down to .25 that you don't hit the hihat at the same time yet the music notes seem to indicate that snare and hihat get hit at the same time, am I missing something? At the beginning around 1:19 if I look at snare and base you can clearly see both hit at the same time.
CJ, love your teaching style. I am not sure if I understand the paradiddlediddle sticking, does the paradiddlediddle always start with the right stick for this groove or does it switch to starting with the left on every other paradiddlediddle? Thanks.
Great question, John! The paradiddle diddle always start with RIGHT. (Unless you play it left hand lead), but except that - it won’t change sticking. It’s always RLRRLL 🔥😃
Practice slowly for a long time and gradually increase the speed. Also check your posture when you sit behind the kit, you don’t want to sit too high or too low on the drum throne.
All drumming has rudiments practice them but not to a point where you think you have to play it when you're playing with other people at the end of day it's all about the song but these definitely would be great in a solo
Bra video. Dina transkriberingar stämmer inte alltid med vad du spelar dock. Oftast är det du glömmer att ta bort hi-hatslag på 2 och 4. Jag gillade verkligen Paradiddle Diddle kompet.

Find a bucket and a saw, skin a cat, beat those skins.

1:52 - is the 7th HH note with the snare really played? looks more natural to skip it.
It’s a typo
You Rock!!
Thank You So Much!!
Are there any rudiments for Latin drumming?

this is great fun!!
Awsome brother🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks !
You're welcome!
Amazing
Thanks, Daniel!
Nice tut! Question? Why add a hihat on the snare with that six stroke roll?
It's an error in the transcript :)
i forgive you😁
Muito bom ..eu sou do Brasil
Obrigado!
Your kit sounds good!
which cymbals and snare drum do you use?
I play Paiste, and the snare drum here is a Benny Greb signature snare, by Sonor. (mk1 beechwood snare)
Again... You make it look so easy... But you also make me want to throw away my sticks 🤣
Naah don’t do that! Take it as inspiration instead and have fun with it 😃🙌
Grate! Thsnks!
🙌🙌

@@ThatSwedishDrummer Well that is better than my brain being the error 🙂

@@ThatSwedishDrummer Thanks CJ, much appreciated!
what is your snare ❤❤?
Probably the Pearl Sensitone....
@@ANDREAZEROGAMER Looking at those lugs, it's gotta be a Sonor, Benny Greb i'd say.
It's a Benny Greb signature beechwood snare (mk1)
In the description You list your recording equipment but not your kit? Only that you are endorsed by paiste. What are those splashes?
You can check my cymbal setup here: ruclips.net/video/BYPsFnnBDrQ/видео.html
The kit is a Pearl Reference Series✌️
While playing drum my leg don't work as Faster I need so how can I improve this problem
Practice slowly for a long time and gradually increase the speed. Also check your posture when you sit behind the kit, you don’t want to sit too high or too low on the drum throne.

Depends what you play. A paradiddle for example works great as a funk-groove! :)
❤

Ah såg det nu. Sånt händer när man "stressar" skrivandet. Tror folk fattar hur de ska spela iaf ;)
In the first rudiment you should not notate the hihat on the 2 and 4 when the snare plays ;-) Same in rudiment 3.
Yeah that stuff happens when you rush the writing. I think people will understand how to play anyway 😊
i spotted that too, I was scratching my head a bit at first, thanks for confirming my suspicion, great groove though
