Ghost Notes are so fun to play. Gives so much more rhythmic depth to a song, while also pushing your hand's limits very further. Cheers for the lesson.
Thank you so much! Well, I think a lot of drummers actually talk about them - but from what I've seen, there aren't a lot of lessons about ghost notes on RUclips, more just showing what it is haha 😃
Yep you're right. This is the mistake I have been doing for a long time. I have been able to play ghost notes at the right volume, but the timing is all over the place. I had to start learning all over again
I am a teacher myself and I recognize a great teacher when I see one. You break everything down so that it's easily understood/digested and becomes something we can easily practice. You're my favorite drum instructor online. Excellent job!
@@ThatSwedishDrummer To be honest, your ghost notes tips is the best lesson I've every seen because your step by step guideline is much more easy for me to understand. After I can play them comfortably, I try to practice them with your recent metronome shift lesson (I still keep practicing the metronome shift everyday for more than a month now) I can say to you that my drumming is huge progress now, I feel like my brian is knowing all the notes so my groove & drum fills are very solid with better sound. The best part is that I can create a different things along my practice. This make me fun and want to spend more time on drum set each day. Big thanks to you again for creating all these fabulous lessons 👍
Dude, This video is so helpful. I’m still working on my ghostliest, but I wanted to say thank you. Btw, what snare are you using? It sounds really great!
I'm a beginner drummer. Today was this first time I've tried ghost notes. I pretty much got the ghost note in right away on the A of 2. I was actually surprised haha. I'm trying to do that with kick drum and it hasn't been easy. Do ghost notes get much easier once you know your rudiments? I have yet to even practice any of those yet.
Rudiments can definitely help with phrasings and the practice of ghost notes, but you can also just focus on practicing single stroke 16th notes with accents on the quarter note and ghost notes on all the rest. :)
It depends on what type of e-kit you have. The more expensive ones have more advanced sensors in the drums and can pick up softer taps in the drum. Cheaper kits might not have as many sensors in the drums. The good thing is; you can still practice ghost notes! It might just not sound like ghost notes on the drums 🤗

Dude, This video is so helpful. I’m still working on my ghostliest, but I wanted to say thank you. Btw, what snare are you using? It sounds really great!
My pleasure, bud! I’m glad you like it 🤗
The snare is a Benny Greb signature brass snare🥁🔥
Awesomeeeeee thanks for this great video my friend
Thank you!!

Fantastic ❤can you explain ghost note more clearly and one by one it's difficult for abigginer to un derstand
Ghost notes are very soft strokes, mostly played on the snare drum. In a transcription, they're shown as a note inside a parentheses ( )
Teşekkürler.
Thank you so much!! 🙌😃 I appreciate your support!
Nice video! The camera transitions get a bit distracting though when trying to take a closer look at your technique though.
Thanks buddy! I’ll take note on that for future videos 🤟
can’t please everyone I guess 😉
@@ThatSwedishDrummer nothing wrong with transition. i love ur filming style.
Tks!
😃
One day I want to become a Ghost Notes beast like Lord Gavin Harrison 😂 thanks for the video btw
Gavin is one of my absolute favorite drummers and his feel and sound is spectacular.
Thanks for watching, bud! 😃
quad strokes or moehler?
Quad stroke is a rudiment, and Moeller is a playing technique.
Skål!
🍻
👍❤️😎
😃💥🥁
Do you loosen your grip for ghost notes?
Play Ghostnotes on E-Drum are so dificult!
Why is it so?
