Not enough reactors do this movie. Not enough people, in general, give this movie a watch. It might not be Murphy's or Lawrence's greatest film but it is great. Thanks for reacting to it.
Awesome reaction! More people need to react to this. Went to see this with my mama when I was young. It's rewatchability is insane. Comfort movie for sure. Great performances. Enjoyed this video. Keep em rolling. I like your channel.
Aria, I thought I'd give you three movies that you might enjoy reacting to while I'm thinking about it: [1) "Get Out", Jordan Peele's Oscar winning First movie, that's a smart, clever suspense/horror with a curious racial tinge to ponder!.........2) "Tales From The Hood", four horror stories that come together at the end with one of the greatest/entertaining endings Ever!........and 3) "Driving Miss Daisiy", Best Picture Oscar winner, Morgan Freeman's character is hired by a man to drive his Jewish mother around after taking her keys back in the 1930s (I think). Mother (Miss Daisy) & Morgan's relationship is difficult because Daisy doesn't know she's prejudice. But over the next few decades, things start to change, and you may even shed a tear. There's a reason it won the Oscar for Best Picture]. Just my thoughts, continued Good luck with your channel. 👍🏾🎥
It was lovely to revisit this movie through your eyes. Always loved this film. I highly recommend Harlem nights with Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor, think Rays Boob Boom room and you're halfway there.
When this movie first came out, I was a teenager. I remember commenting the same thing as you, that the protagonists had awfully bad luck. As an adult today, I realise that, while the movie obviously exaggerates certain events for comedic or ironic effect, when an entire system is specifically designed to oppress you, many things will look like the products of bad luck, but they're really not. It's the system doing exactly what it was supposed to do.
@@Sickwithit355 now compared that to the other reactions !!! How many reactors on youtube. Maybe shut your fkn mouth don’t be disrespectful calling people slow being a d**k btch
@@Sickwithit355now compare that to how many reactors pump out reactions to Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile,... TLDR: this is a movie that simply doesn't get the same amount of reactions. Algorithm doesn't favor it. Subscribers don't favor it.
@bigb2494 it's just one of those alternate universe theories. Some people imagine this is what happened after Sugar Ray and the gang had to leave town. He was the only one who didn't wanna go, so maybe he stayed. He fell into some reckless behavior without his father figure, lost everything and turned into a petty criminal. Maybe he had big dreams of carrying on Sugar Ray's legacy with Ray's Boom Boom Room. I also think his daddy's watch could have been Sugar Ray's. Where would a black man of that time get such a fine time piece?
@juxtaposebeauty247 remember remember Quick's name was Vernest "Quick" Brown... Ray Gibson said his father died in prison, he gave up hope and hung himself. I know the what ifs are fun, but that's like saying Prince Akeem was a street hustler and helped bankrupt the Dukes in New York before waking up on his 21st birthday in Zamunda. Lol
Eddie Murphy is my absolute comedy hero, and Trading Places is the greatest comedy ever imo there was an interview with him around the late 80s iirc where I think he was promoting one of his films, the interviewer ( Terry Christian ) only managed a couple of questions as he couldnt stop laughing at his hilarious impressions of the english. Id love to see it again
Aria, thank you for appreciating this movie and hosting a wonderful reaction to it! 👏🏾.......If you haven't already seen it, "Coming To America" would be the "obvious" follow-up to "LIFE" with equally great (storyline, makeup, and humour), it's Eddie's most beloved classic to a LOT of people (both movies are tied as my #1 movie(s). Good job A.
Check out the movies Money Talks(1997), National Security(2003), Paid In Full(2002)(Based on a True Story), A Thin Line Between Love & Hate(1996), All About The Benjamins(2002), Belly(1998), Baby Boy(2001), Training Day(2001), Set It Off(1996), Big Momma’s House(2000), New Jack City(1991), The Nutty Professor(1996), Boomerang(1992), and Harlem Nights (1989).
I’ve suggested you react to Laurel & Hardy shorts. The Music Box, Busy Bodies, helpmates in particular. If you react I’ll become a Patreon. I know you’re thinking how do you know I will become a Patreon after your reaction. Well, have I ever lied to you before? 😎
They wouldn't have been in jail if they didn't get sidetrack that night. If Ray didn't gamble and Claude didn't give the two dollars to that lying woman, they would have been driving home. The two got cheated out of their lives. They lost over 60 years of their lives.

@ariachanson01 Glad you enjoyed the film though. Have you seen Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2, they are some of Eddie Murphy best films, please check them out. Beverly Hills Cop was the top movie in 1984, it made more money than Ghost busters, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Karate Kid, Footloose and more.
The fact that you understood and could appreciate the humor makes this a top tier reaction. You vibed really well with this. 💮💕☺💁🏾♀💁🏾♀

It really was a wonderful film
Definitely their funniest film. The comedy never stops in this very underated film and the rewatchability is high AF
This is actually my favorite movie ever too
I think we all know why. I appreciate her for doing it
A classic 4sure ❤💯👊
Whoever suggested this movie.. thank you.
You gotta let the laughs out don't hold them🤣
"The Nutty Professor" is a hilarious movie and Eddie Murphy plays at least 6 different characters
That is so interesting!
Once again Aria bringing the🔥🔥 reactions.

Martin Lawrence was in a bail of trouble before this movie. Eddie Murphy wanted to help him.
It was actually sad they had they had they're life ruined for something they didn't do
Really awful

Aria never misses, thank you.
Before " LIFE " there was "Cool Hand Luke " 👍 👍 👍

"Bowfinger" is a silly homage to Ed Wood and other schlocky B-movie filmmakers. It's hilarious.

Instead of "Consequences and repercussions" it was consequences and concussions.
Harlem Nights is another hilarious Eddie Murphy movie that is kinda unofficially considered a pre-quel to Life
Eddie Murphy just made a reference to Harlem Nights with the Della mention, but that's the only tie between the 2 movies
