That rotating UV lamp rig, I smiled and gave a small quiet round of applause. The colours available with powder coating this day and age are amazing. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the cement mixer.
Had this Tonka model, me and my brother played a lots!! Thanks for posting this video, it's bring lots of memories!! Awesome restoration my brother!! God bless and stay safe!!
Another top notch restoration TRG, I didn't know that Tonka had black walls, for the tires, I'm out of work with a sinus infection and been bored, laying in bed surfing RUclips and you made my day a little bit better now,, thanks for sharing this
Early 70's that one. That's when Tonka started using more plastic and a bit less metal. An excellent restoration job and awaiting the one on that cement truck.
I love the matched set of specialty hammers and related tools. I have never seen a kit like that. I have utterly no need for one, but I still want it. 😀
To save a bit of money, you can sand and polish the plastics for the vehicles glass. I do it all the time with the old acrylic watch crystals. Works with plastic as well. It's so hard to find perfect replacements sometimes.
Ok, I love restoration videos, this being one of my favorite channels. I need to mention, beside the obvious awesomeness of the actual project, THOSE ARMS ARE TO DIE FOR! #SWOON
Another marvelous restoration Paul! You did it again. The paintwork, everything is beautiful. That is serious. Now something different. I think you should also lubricate the hinges of the hammer box.😉 The speed with which you wield the hammer and you sand, is unbelievable. 😁😄
Another fine video, Sir. I’m constantly amazed at the tools and equipment you’ve amassed… that Maddox dent removal set (with the squeaky lid) is awesome. Enjoy the humor you add to your content. 👍👍👍
I admit I winced a bit when you were pushing that last emergency light in and then you reached for the hammer... I was so nervous! dontbreakdontbreakdontbreakDONTBREAKDONTBREAK *click* Ahhh.......
As per usual beautiful resto, excellent editing and humor. My kids and I love to watch you and Chip Channel. Between the restorations, Bob Ross and the Sheep what's not to like. By the way the whitening set up was brilliant. Keep it comin'.👍
You did great work on this restoration job of this truck. I work a graveyard shift job, and watching your restoration videos helps get me through the night. I do have a question: Have you ever considered adding an action figure inside the cab of a vehicle like this where there is seat and a steering wheel? A 3 3/4 inch Gi Joe, 21st Century Solider, or a BBI Ultimate Solider figure would look good inside this vehicle. Or even one of those Tonka Play People that came in the late 70's/early 80's? I am in my 60's now, but growing up as a kid that played with Tonka toys: I always felt Tonka toys needed a figure inside to complete it. What do you think?
We're not big toy truck fans...but we love watching your restorations...One of my favorite parts is the kids shouting "Yay!" when you use the sandblaster. It brings us joy every time. Out of curiosity - do you keep these for your personal collection or to show or something or sell them...or a mixture of all of the above? Keep up the great work and keep having fun, Tim, and stay safe!
With that tow truck, you can rescue Chip Channel's sheep if they ever happen to get stranded in your neck of the woods. Just don't let the cyclops sheep get behind the wheel, lol...
Great Video TRG!!! It turned out awesome!
Thanks brother!
@@TRGRESTORATIONS awesome job 😇
Chip Channel, take a tip from this guy and get some anvils to straighten your sheet metal. I cringe when you keep using those vise jaws.
TRG Vs Chip Channel !!!! Tonka build restro build off
Very Good!
A brilliant restoration! Now we just need a full sized 1970’s Chevrolet C10 pickup restoration to match! Keep doing what you do!
lol You funud that video and we'll jump right on it!
It's great you showed the next project at the end. It's like quantum leap. The end of each episode was the start of the next.
Yes! Wait, does that make me Sam, or Al?
@@TRGRESTORATIONS Sam.
You can see how the towing operation gets way more simple in the 70's. Nice job
Great restoration. That blue really makes the truck.
Thanks 👍
@@TRGRESTORATIONS take all the time you need looking forward to your next video 🙃

Hello TRG beautiful restoration good job well done

Early 70's that one. That's when Tonka started using more plastic and a bit less metal. An excellent restoration job and awaiting the one on that cement truck.
Thanks! It's a shame they started adding so much plastic
@@TRGRESTORATIONS We have to thank the bean counters for that. Replacing metal by plastic was more economical for Tonka to produce.
I love the matched set of specialty hammers and related tools. I have never seen a kit like that. I have utterly no need for one, but I still want it. 😀
I say that every time I go to Lowes!!

Tonka actually had action figures to go with some of their vehicles, starting in the late 70's
Beautiful job again! Line your milk crate and possibly enclose with aluminum foil for quicker and greater efficacy?
Just a thought. 🙂
It would definitely work better, but would be harder to film. Gotta make trade offs when you're making videos
Great 😊
I have a double boom Tonka wrecker in pretty good shape.
Looks great frame would of looked great black too
Отлично! 🤘😎👍

Iv seen if u take a torch to the tires it will help make them blacker and look nice
