Love the way Tonka used the Jeep J-series truck for a lot of their truck bodies. Maybe because they're so square and easy to press into shape?
Great video
Superb video! That mug though… “Yayyy!!!!”
Excelente restauración soberbio
It never ceases to amaze me as to how clean and white all those pieces can get after years of neglect. One great job! 👍👍
i grew up in the 70s ,i think i remember that one. I Dont remember if i had one but i think i can remember seeing it
Better than new 🎉👍

One of my favorite toys as a kid, along with the matching red pickup truck with operable gate. Thanks.

You did such a great job!
UN-F'ING-BELIEVABLE!!!! You, Sir, are a master of your craft!
Imagine being an ex tonka factory employee and then seeing this guy restore that one truck you used to assemble many times a day
Excellent, as usual. Thank you! ✌🏻🎨☕️
Good job sir... this channel really inspires me because I'm a vintage toy lover.
Greetings from Indonesia. 🙏
Wow, this is a beautiful restoration! I like the white rims by this red car.
Nicely done.
Way to go brother! Giving a Tonka cement mixer some love👍. Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the excellent work 👍
Great job, Tim! Another old classic saved from the scrap pile!
Great restoration.
That turned out pretty sweet!
Stunning work! I love the Gladiator chassis. Good choice.
Very awesome again sir loving it!
Wow what a little beauty 👍 turned out really cool all nice and shiny. Great project, nice work.
Excellent job beautiful restore
Very nice restore!👍
Good job well done my friend
Wow...that red is amazing, great job!
What an amazing job on this project!
Came out great, especially the white plastic!
I was thinking this was going to be a very rusty piece of work. Glad you could resurrect this smaller Tonka vehicle. Looks better than new!
I had one of those as a kid.
Great job on the restoration.
Glad to see you refinished the windshield. A lot of vehicle restorers will 'bleach' the white parts but replace the windshield instead of giving it a chance. 👍
Great looking truck. Nice job on the glass looks like new
Awesome, Tim. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩🤩
És caminhão vai ficar muito bonito mesmo parabéns 👏 para você mesmo
The before/ after is really impressive 👍
Incredible!
That is so pretty 😍
Great job 👍. I have an old Tonka cement mixer under my work bench. Larger scale.
I can hardly wait to restore it.
Solid restoration and really cool mug!
Another great piece of work. My fav tonkas the jeep in all the models it comes in. Thankyou great video..
Awesome video TRG!
@chip channel restoration nice to see u here i love watching ur restoration jobs
Parabéns. Muito bom. Excelente.
Beautiful restoration, Tim! FYI, I saw another RUclipsr who restores Matchbox vehicles use metal polish on the windshields to get rid of the micro-scratches with great results. That UV light setup you created is ingenious! BTW, I want your ultrasonic cleaner. 😂 Thank you as always. 👍👍👍 ~ John
Love the job you do, 'specially with a few beers in me..
Quite a transformation. I've been looking forward to the video after you trailed it last time, and it did not disappoint. Thanks once again.
You make the weirdest tea!
Fantastic work! That's a clever idea to use the stirrer for the hydrogen peroxide as I've had uneven brightening results.
look at those muscles going after those tires. :-) It is also nice to see that you remove your wedding ring and watch to save them while working with abrasives and chemicals as you do. Good man!!
Another AMAZING job and thanks for sharing! I thought you would have to apply some filler for the badly rusted parts. And by the way, my parents gave me this exact cement mixer for a birthday gift around 1965 and I still have it today in mint shape since I took care of it. The red color from the factory is similar to this one but possibly a bit darker.
Great work, that was a ruff piece, great work👍, how about a custom paint job on the fire truck you have on the bench. Better yet. Do it up in your local FIRE DEPT COLORS. that would be cool. Make it a Christmas truck
Quite the difference TRG Restorations, came out as factory new, hope you and yours had a great and safe Thanksgiving and am waiting for your next video
Very nicely done, some of the pitting looked pretty terrible, but looks about new now
Awesome job mate and should do Christmas theme truck next
Always remember what cup you're soaking dirty parts in and which one has your coffee .
Or ..... You'll get a surprise ☕
Unless you think it's an improvement .
Wow was in really bad shape at first but the finish was wow 😮
What is the sound bite from?
EXCELLENT!!!!! WOULD YOU EVER THINK OF DOING A TRUCK IN A DEEP HOT PINK?
Hi, great video with amazing results. I do have a question if you don't mind, what video editing software would you recommend using as there are so many different ones. Thank you.
I have a tyko orange pumpkin tow truck I was wondering if I could send it in to have it restored
I have a feeling that the firetruck being shown in the background when you were buffing the window, is gonna be the next restoration, right?!
👍
where do you buy your rivetts and the press ?
So retrobright does also work on transparent plastic? That's awesome!👍 I thought it would only work on white coloured plastic.
Where can I buy the rivet clamp?
Great restore but wait, there's more! It also mixes pancake batter! Just don't drive it onto the griddle!
Top sempre 🇧🇷

GREAT JOB,
We're do you source the parts and replacement pieces in our kit
Thanks
Question. I noticed that on some toys you use the acetone and out gassing steps, but not always. Is it because the metal is exceptionally dirty and rusty? Does it help the paint adhere better? Just curious. Another great job😁👍
Probably it's just a matter of not showing always the same repetitive procedure, that's a step that you always need to do after you sandblast the pieces, because that can always be some residue to eliminate before priming them. :)

Tim, this turned out fantastic!
Where do you find your projects?
Not sure, but I think I had this cement mixer as a child.
But, that was before 1970.
How long was this mixer made?
Where did you find the funnel for this?
Had some heavy metal at the time today's metal wouldn't stand to that abuse after so long
It's one of two things - and you don't have to respond to this because it's no one's business, but - you are either NOT married, or you are married to one hell of an awesome woman! No "in between man" would even have a chance at enjoying such a refined hobby.
