- Hey guys, since the latest Warhammer 40k Balance Dataslate I've been working hard on refining my 1000-point Death Guard list. It's at a point now that I am really happy with and am excited to share it with you all.
I've also included a battle report of the last game I had with this list. I hope you enjoy!

I have an idea for the predator, maybe you could cut up some Poxwalkers and glue them onto the tank like they're fused to it? I think that could give it a bit more chaosy energy and would be really cool! Amazing army as always!
You can also use some green stuff to add boils or tentacles.
That's a really cool idea! I was contemplating sticking some Nurglings to it. Have so many of them lying around haha. Thank you!

@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge yeah in a unit of 5 you can have pistol champ melta, blight, 2 heavys for max 3 heavys with leader
And ten man's are brilliant

2 flamers and a blight it's disgusting in all ways

You can use Typus + Pox and put them in reserves and bring them in Turn 3 when all of your opponents infantry is gone.
I haven't tried this yet! Have you ever had any trouble getting them on the board from screening?
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge No usually by then we can clear most stuff now. A few comp players use it (where I saw it from), also remember Typhus scythe also turns dead foes to pox walkers not just his destroyed hive

Lol my man has come to the realization that youll never catch up to finished models. But Im glad your still making steady progress though. Thats what matters the most in this hobby. I just finished the new Necron Combat Patrol this month along with an additional HQ. Im really happy to have painted over 500 points and its given me motivation to paint my other necron box sets as they make great painting challenges. Still got about 3k points to go with my current collection so I would love to finish at least half of that by the end of the year. Maybe you should challenge yourself to not buy anymore models and see if you can paint eveything you have currently by the end of the year
Half the problem is Death Guard have so many fun units that I want to try out! One day I will run out of things to buy haha. Nice job! Wow, that's a big collection. And that's probably not a bad thought. If I didn't get anything new I probably could do a decent about before next year :)
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge Lol its kind of the negative aspect of tabletop games is the vast variety of models in not only your own faction but others as well that get you to think impulse thoughts . So I, like many others, definitely feel you there. So far have about 5k points of Necrons since starting in the hobby a couple years ago. Unfortunately I have about another 5k points to go as i dont own pretty much any of their larger models and epic characters that would make up the bulk of an 1k or 2k point list. I was where you were at one point, the only problem is Necrons had soo many discount box sets the past 2 editions so you could find units super cheap online because of it. I went overboad and I dont regret it. What I do regret is thinking I could start a Tau and Grey knights army simultaneously. Dont ever do that lol. I ended up sellling it all this year.
I think if you buckled down and made a plan for the next three months you could probably knock everything out. You could strategize your painting sessions, maximizing your colors and making sure to also switch up your choice of models to be painted to keep yourself fresh with each new model you begin. Trying to paint huge numbers of models with a deadline can put the pressure on you but also give you motivation and new sense of invigoration to see your army full completed. Id say break up what you have into the three months we have left in the year and see how far you can get each month. Iv been doing a necron paint challenge since the beginning of the year as my 2023 new years resolution. So far I have painted a little more than 2k points this year coming from roughly 500 points since 2021. This army had a slow start for me as I enjoyed building the army but let the painting get out of hand and before I knew it I had a whole book shelf of unpainted models haha. So Im pretty proud of myself despite some months not getting everything done it still felt great to have models painted regardless, even if it was a just a unit or 2
Beginner’s question- which rule allows you to put War Dog in reserve?
The core rule for reinforcements/strategic reserves :) You can put up to 25% of your army into reserves. Really handy if there are units you want to bring out later that don't have deep strike
is the lion in a 1k game a normal thing?
Apparently it is at my club haha. I don't think I would ever bring Mortarion to a 1k game
