I purchased the 800 a few months ago and love it. I wouldn't mind having the 600 though. Would be cool to replicate the Janet flights from Vegas to Area 51
I did that in the same scenario, bought it for its sporty performance and classic look. If you can comfortably spend 35 bucks for the not so necessary 600 on top of the 800 for less serious reasons, well i can only tell you that its worth it for the novelty factor alone
I do that flight with the A320 since it's kinda close, but would love an authentic red stripe -600 experience. I live in Vegas and love watching those flights heading out most mornings.
Thanks so much, Mark. for another great video. I actually just ended up purchasing the 737-800 about a week ago, and instead of having your handy 10-minute video, I did the research myself. Funny thing is, I chose the 800 for pretty much the exact reasons you mentioned. But it's an incredible product and I'm loving flying it. I'm looking forward to your future 737 videos!
Thanks for a very informative video which should help anyone who may be trying to decide which model to purchase. I purchased the 800 when it first came out and couldn't be happier with it.
Just bought the -600 as I've been flying Airbus for a while (320 and 380), but been wanting to try Boeing for a while. It's fairly cheap, and is a learning curve for me. So I will use this for a while, before I even consider buying anything larger. It handles incredibly agile, it's like a fighter jet!
One caution about PMG,when new versions of the SIM come out, you need to purchase the plane again. For example I had the 737-800 for FSX and when MSFS 2020 came out just a couple years after I bought the PMDG, I will have to buy it again to use it with MSFS 2020. So I would imagine that when MSFS 2024 comes out next year, your plane will not work with 2024 unless you buy it again.
Yes that's true, although it sounds like 2024 might be slightly different. I'd expect the existing version to work, but any fixes & improvements would only be in a paid upgrade. It's too early to tell though, and could indeed only be paid-upgrade-only.
@@FlightSimSchool Thanks for the reply. Knowing PMDG, they will probably do what you said and simply stop updating it but we can probably also assume that they will do what they can to get more money to make it work "properly" in MSFS 2024. Don't get me wrong, their planes are excellent and I've been using them for a long time - I just don't like their policies. You would think that a $75 plane would at least have an EFB.
Nice vid just what I was looking for. I bought the LVFR A318 and was so disappointed with it that (why? Because of lack of documentation and everywhere I looked in the cockpit all I saw was INOP.) I then got the PMGD 600 and holy shLt what a difference. I’m so happy with it I going to get another one probably the 900 after watching you vid.
I’ve been wondering exactly this for a while. Just getting on vatsim with a32nx so I’ve been hesitant to learn the 737. Subbed for your 737 starter videos. Thanks!

@@FlightSimSchool I also had been flying airbuses and found them easier to comprehend. The 737 is so old school with the banks and banks of switches. Maybe using your checklist format you could go system by system?
I'm on the fence. I'm spoiled by the A2A Comanche. It's made everything else feel like toy planes for me so I'm not sure if any of the 737s is worth it. Will probably end up getting the cheapest -600 because operating from short or hot and high runways is way more fun than flying from one 10.000 foot runway to another and honestly, what difference does it make that the -600 wasn't too popular in real life ? You can still keep it real by flying for SAS, Westjet, Air China or Air Tunisia. Or just fly it as a charter airline anywhere you want.

It’s definitely digital, I think they just need it for billing purposes
I'm getting all 4 when they're released on XBOX
It will cost about the same as an XBOX and the MSFS simulator itself. LOL, don't need to do that. Without reliable ATC like Vatsim or IVAO whats the point? Get the 800 and be done with it.
@@fsx-legend4602 I bought the 800 2 days ago on series x! Best $75 I’ve ever spent! Now I just have to work on programming a flight and can’t wait for the liveries! Absolutely mind blowing it finally came to Xbox!
is there a difference between buying the plane on the website or buying it in game?
Yes, you'll get updates much faster if you buy it through the website, as well as get all the liveries for free (I'm assuming you meant on PC).
What discount do you get if you buy more than one variant?
None unfortunately
Which airport is in the intro?
That’s Wellington, Nz
@@FlightSimSchool thank you!
If i buy it on PC, do i have to buybit again for Xbox?
If you buy it through the marketplace, yes, then it should transfer over, but I don’t think it’ll do the same if you buy directly from pmdg.
Should I buy it from Msfs store?
If you're on PC, I'd buy it directly.
hi you can share this air craft free
Maybe you should look at the FBW A320 if you want a free product.
This Aircraft is more expensive than the Game 😵💫
True, but it’s much higher quality than any other plane available in the base version.
@@FlightSimSchoolI want to buy the 737 but I really don’t feel like paying 80 dollars for a plane.
@@Chescat124Get the 600, it’s the cheapest and it’s as fully functional as all the others
@@FlightSimSchool ok
once u buy 1 u get em all
In your dreams maybe :D
You’re kind of right. Apart from the exterior models and some specs, everything looks and feels the same, I don’t feel a difference in the flight model from the 600 and the 800.
@@alexsp7086 flight model is similar but the 600 can get into and out of some much tighter spots than the others
Nice Talestrike😂
hahaha, I checked the replay on it a few times and I think it just narrowly missed tailstriking :D
LOL!!! Does it really matter?
Does what really matter?
Nick eh 30
You're the second person to mention that recently; we must be long lost brothers 😁
Nobody wants that pmdg trash. Captain Sim is the industry leader...😂 /sarcasm
I own the 600 and 700, they ooze quality.
Hehe, you did make me realize though that I should have said you can’t go wrong with any of them because they are all high quality
@@pR1mal. did you get any discount for owning more than one variant? If I understood correctly, in the video he mentioned a discount for buying a second variant.
@ammarbader3068 not that I'm aware of. Maybe, but I don't think so.
@@ammarbader3068 No, I actually said the opposite.
