Good Morning to the both of you. This collaboration was epic. Tips from two of my favorite plant gurus! Every time I watch your video I become more empowered with my beauties. You keep it simple where even a “newbie” to the world of plants can learn from you. Keep it going🌿💚
Thank you Alfreda, that means a lot. Our goal is to help people see that it is not hard if they apply the principles. Did you find anything especially helpful in this episode?

Hello from Puerto Rico!!! Here we burn the wood into charcoal and then insert in the substrate. It does not rot but absorbs any bacteria/virus that could be there. Very interesting video. Thx!! 🙋🏼♀️💚🪴🐩
@@TheLecaQueen Yes! The moss pole section was really good. I really like the take of seeing the pole as an extension of the pot. It's also very interesting to see how the poles work for both aroid mix and leca.
A great video. Entertaining, educational and lots of fun. I like it when two planttubers get together and share their experiences with us. I'm already looking forward to the second part.
Okay this is great content I'm actually obsessed with Sydney plant guy for his aroids ofcourse, Aroid King, leca queen and you both are really informative. ❤️
My favorite part was talking about which works better, moss or leca for the poles. But, all of the video is very interesting. It's good to see two people who have so much knowledge about plants hold a Q&A. Thanks 😊
I actually love the plants on planks option. The only downside is pest control for me. I use soapy water as pest control, and I’m starting to get concerned that when I’m dealing with thrips and spraying the leaves every few days that I’m going to have issues with mold. But I will say that a wood planks are fine for propagation. I’ve had no issues removing aerial roots from the wood plank without damaging them. But I will say that if you want to chop the plant to continue sizing it up I recommend air layering the section you want to chop so it already has roots when you replant it.
Hello! I love both of you. I just put one of my philodendron's on a moss pole and all of her leaves are drooping. The moss is moist and I made sure to keep the airoid moist mix moist because she was in regular soil when I bought her. She was used to a more damp environment so I didn'twant to shock her by not keeping her environment on the moist side. What can I do to help her?
@@TheLecaQueen unfortunately, most of the poor plant died. 😕 The soiless media and moss poles are new for me so I'm sure she won't be the only plant I lose. Hopefully I don't kill too many though. 😬
With wood branches and stuff (im trying out some drift wood), you can extend them nicely by threading a long screw into the top of your bottom piece half way, cutting the top off the screw, filing it into a point, drilling a small hole in the bottom of the top piece a bit and just threading it on. It will look totally continuous. Not helpful for propagation but maybe something you need to look good and dont plan on chopping up.
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it. That beauty is what we in Australia call a Snow Queen Pothos, or an N'joy in the States, or whatever you wanna call it!😁
I gotta laugh at people that think spag moss poles dry out fast. For my first few plants i went and got a few of those coir poles and you cant even wet them to begin with lol, they're dry the second the water runs off. My poles are small right now so they dry day to day but its better than my roots only getting moisture the moment I decide to spray the pole.
I love the info that you and Jan provide on your social media channels but I’ve noticed that he can sometimes be harsh and dismissive. Then, he did it to you. Stating one’s opinion is good but it would be nice to come from a place of kindness.
Thank you for watching and for your comment. I can assure you that that was not the case, or it definitely did not feel like that at all. He is so very lovely. I think it is easy for real personalities sometimes to be lost in translation, I also edited the video so who knows how I may have made him look, that is on me. I am really going to go out and defend him a 100%. He is kind, the kindest, I remember him responding to my DMs on Insta and answering all my questions. He is one of my great plant friends.🥰.

Air layering sounds like a good way to go.
Omg the best
