I’m obsessed with this series! So educational and so fun to watch! I Loved watching you both geek out on your love for your plants 💜 Please please do this again 🥰 thank you both for this series 💜💜
Listening to you both with the passion for your plants and moss poles is truly fantastic. Thank you for setting up this collab it’s been great to watch, and learn from both of you. I’m so pleased Brad made a Camino appearance at the end cause Jan aka Sydney Plant Guy wouldn’t be the same without him. Thank you both again so much ❤
I am really glad you liked it! So glad. Brad was not interested at the start but came around right at the end which was so very nice of him! Did you have any favourite parts in the series?
@@TheLecaQueen I actually enjoyed all of it, both of you are very entertaining. it’s interesting that you grow in leca with great success and Jan in his chunky mix both with similar moss poles. I’m finding difficult for some reason to find the correct wire, maybe I need to get out more and search lol Thank you again ❤️
I Loved this series! and the Brad cameo at the end! Please do this again! One question I did have is whether or not either of you get hardwater buildup on your moss poles, and if you do how you manage that. I've rinsed and rinsed mines and the tips of my moss still have crunchy bits from the minerals.
I love how you guys pronounce algae❤️❤️❤️ it’s so different to how we pronounce it in Canada, we pronounce it al-jee I’m really loving your videos together🎉
Nice to hang loose sometimes and forget that the camera is there. We were really just having a chat and it was a ball. The raw footage is over 2 hours long!
This series was super fun to watch! So glad that you two collabed together and shared your experiences and knowledge. This was so helpful since my household uses both aroid mix and leca. Hopefully you and Jan, and other plant influencers, do another series in the near future!!
I’ve been following SPG for some time and RUclips recommender me your channel. I was like: “oh god whose advice should I follow? Which one should I watch more?” And on the next day this colab dropped 😂 it’s so great to see how passionate you two are about this! I made a moss pole for a Golden Ivy a couple of months ago which is really thriving, and last week I bought two monsteras and a philodendron… I hail all the way from Rio, Brazil and now I’m totally obsessed with finding native species to grow on poles over the next weeks! I’m really excited to go on this journey and hope I can share with you guys the results!
Hello! Rio! Now that is one place on my bucket list. Welcome! I am so glad you are here. RUclips was spot on to recommend me, and I am so glad you watched the collab. Jan is fabulous and one of my all time favourite plant people! We both love moss poles and would be honoured to share in your journey. Please keep us posted.
Wow this collaboration was full of joy! I could have listened to you all day! You were both obviously having such fun together👌🏾 and the lovely Brad cameo at the end👏🏾 😍 Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us [my passion too]; so looking forward to the next time you two decide to collab 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
@@TheLecaQueen Yes it was so obvious that you were both having a ball chatting about your favourite subject!😍 It was like listening in to a catch up between old friends, it was that good!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The whole series had me captivated from the start,; there has to be ongoing - catching up with each other every so often kind of thing - any bew issues/plants you've encountered, new questions from us subbies etc. I had no favourite parts at all, as the whole 3 parts were great viewing! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I love the idea of growing vertically on a moss pole. But, if you don't want it to dry out completely but you say go on vacation for several days or over a week, how would you water it without having to have someone come into your home to water your plants while you're away? Would a slow drip system work or set up some sort of a wicking system with a jug of water to keep them happy? I'm interested to know your experience.
Thanks soooo much for this collab it’s been great to watch! I’ve learnt so much from both your channels since I’ve found you both! Nora, I thought you were a US based channel when I first found you so I’m thrilled you’re in Australia!! I’m going to buy some nutrients and try transitioning some plants to Leca thanks to your channel and amazing inspiration!! I also have some large plants that I’m keeping in soil but have transferred to my own aroid mix (thanks to Jan!). I have 2 questions so really hope you see this comment! (1) Have you done a video of how you actually flush the giant plants you grow, the extra large pothos for instance? (2) When it comes to potting up your 20cm Leca pots , what do you think you’ll use? I repotted my giant monstera deliciosa last night (into aroid mix) and the pot I had wasn’t big enough for the roots plus the moss pole (home made, yay me, thanks Jan again haha). Poor baby was hanging out on a coir pole its whole life! 😅 thanks again guys for sharing your knowledge with us!
Hello!! Welcome. I am a Melbourne girl and proud of it!!! Melbourne, the home of Collectors Corner yay!!! To answer your question, I am not sure I have made a video to show me flushing the large plants. I just take them outside because I can, or put them in the shower, again because I can and flush them that way. I will make a video showing how I do that as soon as it stops raining!!! Ahhh the rain! Good but not so good. What do you mean when you say what will I use to pot up the 20cm leca pots?
Oh sorry, I just meant when you have to size up, so when your giant plants outgrow their 20cm pots, I guess you’ll just keep sizing up?! Thanks so much again, I’m in Brisbane so the heat has decided to arrive all of a sudden this week, phew 😮💨
@TheLecaQueen @sydneyplantguy I like the idea of doing a moss pole but one thing keeps getting to me. What do you do when you go on vacation and can’t water your poles? I don’t have anyone that lives close enough to water my moss poles 3 times a week if im not here. If I go away or visit family once or twice a year, does this mean I can’t have a moss pole?

fun to watch, nora & jan! thank you!
You are so welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. Was there anything specific that stood out for you?
@@TheLecaQueen Topic "Algae" was my fav one... but all three parts are entertaining and your explanations easy to understand.

Yes mine gets this too, I thought mine was from fertilizer. Great question

Now that would have been a very interesting question. I love it! I guess this means we just have to do another Q & A collab!
