Hi Nora, thank you for sharing this other option for attaching the green pole to the pot, Bec I've often thought about it, but wasn't exactly sure how to go about it, so now I'm in the know, 🌹❣️ as always, I luv all ur vids, and I'm always learning something new to do, I must reiterate, the very best thing I've learned is to make a "D" shape moss pole, instead of a round one, it makes more logical sense with helping the root system to grow better, and of course bigger leaves as it climbs,🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

My largest monstera is “large form leaves” and omg it’s blown up soo big..😍🥰🤩 I literally can Not even pick it up by myself anymore.🤦🏼♀️😰 I feel like a proud plant mom but it’s like when you get a pet dog and he gets way larger then you thought he would and no longer can pick up your pet.😂😂😂 this video helps soo much. I’m now confident enough to give him a good triming..

I've got a mosspole question. Do your mosspoles ever get fungus gnats? What do you do to not get fungus gnats on them? any tips or advice? I tranfered my plants to LECA to get rid of the fungus gnats but when I got a mosspole they seemed to have comeback. Any help is greatly apprecited!

Found this video at last Nora. I'll keep it in my 'Houseplant' folder for reference. I have my baby MTC and am trying to learn as much as I can regarding its care and and desperately trying my best to avoid root and stem rot (which I understand it's prone to). It's still in a 3ins nursery pot with a fairly chunky aroid mix. I've become a chronic over-waterer because I really don't want to lose it. Have you done an updates on this one???

When I converted to Leca and used the same sized pots, it seemed that the pots were too big. Any suggestions on the correct pot size? I know it depends on the size of the plant
A pot should be sized for the rootball, not the foliage. Most people use far too large of pots and that leads to root rot. It should only be an 1-2” bigger than the rootball and you only size up 1-2” when it’s ready to be repotted.
Hey, that is a question that calls for an answer with a lot of caveats. The reservoir that you are using and how much nutrient solution you have in there along with the conditions in your home such as humidity, temperature and growth season etc will determine how much water/nutrient solution will be available to the plant. If you take these things into account then yeah 2 weeks is a very doable time frame.

Got a 12 inch pot with rootbound pothos...it's one big mold with no soil. I might need a hammer...girdled roots thick as a pencil! Soaking in a 6 gallon bucket has loosened a couple of roots but its still a giant mass.
Probably the roots being cramped together means exponentially reduced surface area actually touching what nutrients is in their potted stuff. It's like suffocation

You should never cut more than 20-30% or the plant will struggle to recover.

So I am 2 weeks in CA and 2weeks in CO every month. I have plants in both places. Do you think leca would hold enough water for 2 weeks?
