    Oh my Nora! I’m screaming at you “why are cutting off so many roots!! I was so shocked😱 I grow the majority of my plants in Leca with your guidance, so I knew you wouldn’t do that without a good reason. One question which has been on my mind. Doesn’t the heat mat heat up the plant solution and is it not detrimental to the plants? I worry about putting my plants on the windowsill in case the sun makes the solution hot. Your advice would be appreciated. How gorgeous were those new roots though!
    👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    • @TheLecaQueen
      @TheLecaQueen  2 года назад +4

      Crazy right! The heat mat does not heat the solution so much. You can even get heat mats with temperature regulation. I don't know about the window sill because I do not know how hot it gets where you live. If it gets really hot I would move the plant a bit further back. I hope that makes sense.

    Had to watch this one twice. My cat was just being such a pill! Very distracting! I didn't even have time to just hit the pause button, so hopefully a second go round will do the trick. Crazy cat! LOL
    P.S. "WOW"! Is right! Especially the White Princess. I wonder how well this method might work for some other species of plants?
    SIDE NOTE: Nora, I just finished making 4 moss poles with the plastic backs. I don't know how you made this look so easy! LOL. I even rewatched your video making these poles, and it still took me 2 hours to make the first one! And that doesn't even include cutting the wire part! How did you do it in 5 minutes?!!! 😂 I admire you even more than I did before, if that's possible!

    Wow. You are daring. I wouldn't chop all roots. I have to get that rooting solution somehow. How, I don't know. Can I just add other rooting powder I have something locally available. My aglaonema without roots sitting in leca isn't rooting and now has lost its last leaf in last two months. But its cold here and I haven't got any plants on heat mat. Can that be an issue. I don't have temperature control in my home. Should I put all my leca plants on heat mat? I loved Philo white princess. I loved how it rooted. Wow is the word after seeing the video while you were going oh oh oh. Ha HA ha.

      @@TheLecaQueena big monstera deliciosa, a raphidophora, a medium sized shefflera, a hoya carnosa, a ficus, a pothos, a spider plant… They are all down to stumps with no roots now. Do you think it’s because they aren’t on a heat mat? It’s pretty warm in my house lately-like 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I change the water, I use Growth tech clonex clone solution. I tried soaking in diluted peroxide for the last few but it didn’t help. The roots just rot away.
