You have taught me so much and I was brave enough to start transitioning my thai plant. I used the direct method. It's been 2 months and she is thriving and making a new leaf!
My first leca try and my first ever monstera usibg direct method and I saw your long method video weeks later, side by side I did a transfer of my philo birkin using same direct method and within a week it showed lot of stress causing yellow leaves and lot of rotten roots. I was worried about my monstera and waiting for its funeral but it showed no such signs and guess what got new perfect healthy leaf 2weeks ago😊. Used direct method with cheese plant but that too showed stress signs so now I'm doing my transitions of pothos, cheese plant, aglaonemas and many more using only long method. It gives sort of insurance against failures. Thanks a lot for making such informative videos. So far my worst experience using direct method was of zz plant😢 got only 2petioles survived.
Hi Nora! Great vid! Have u tried them from a cutting? And does it work? I did it previously but to no avail :( it had one aerial root that i was relying on.. i think must have been not changing the water enough
this was so interesting....just bought 5 new and established plants at 50% off.....i choose to put them in the long method, based on my fear!!! LOL. What is the minimum amount of time that you would keep a plant in the long method, prior to placing it into LECA? Your presentations are always SO GOOD!!
Congratulations on your new plants. I coukd not say what the minimum amount of time is because it depends on the plant and the conditions that are provided, so that time will be different for everyone. Go by the roots and how many new roots you have.
Put a cutting into pon and keeping it in semi-hydro is working surprisingly well for me. Might switch to leca once it gets bigger cause pon is expensive.
Hi Nora! Needed this. As you know, I have 2 young thai cons in water. Doing long method. They are doing very well in nutrient water. New leaves..lots of new roots. 6 or 7 weeks now. Will be transferring them in a few weeks. Mozella
@@TheLecaQueen Video was very helpful! I'm less stressed now! Thank you!! ❤ They are definitely really to go into leca. I'm just waiting for the new leaves to harden. 😊😊
The 'teaching' ones are getting longer. This one is a topic people are always asking me lots of questions about, so I wanted to do a proper deep dive. I know in this world of Tiktok 3, second attention spans this is not the smartest thing to do, but to get the whole story out, it takes the time it takes. I hope the time stamps help people get to what they are looking for.
UGH! I can't even view the Leafy Brand website from the US! It won't let me! Literally shuts down with a message saying You cannot visit our store from your location. RUDE! I totally get not being able to order but not even VIEW?!?! Wouldn't purchase now even if they were to start shipping to the US. Too many other options. UGH...not even able to VIEW. YES this is maddening.

Music to my ears 🥰
Thank you for showing the two methods. Gives courage to do my first time short method.
Best of luck!

Yes, I have used cuttings, and they work as well. See here: ruclips.net/video/CtVLW_TWqWE/видео.html
@@TheLecaQueen awesome!! And do u change the water weekly for that?
Yep

sounds good....i shall be patient
@@TheLecaQueen WILL DO
Thank you for this video, it was very helpful. But I want to know why do you put holes in the planter pot?
Added ventilation for the roots. Not everyone does it but I believe it helps.
@@TheLecaQueen okay thank you, just potted Thai constellations Leca
I’ve had my Thai in water for 2 weeks with her nutrients and silica she’s doin well . How much longer should I leave her in the water please Nora
Until you have sufficient roots like I show in the video.

so glad to hear it.
Hello, where did you get the pots?
which pots? If you mean the one I put the long method one in, check for links in the video description.

@gizmo4774 I think he does not ship to the USA. Check the link in the description.
@@TheLecaQueen OK. Thank you! 😊
What lighting did you give them
About 500 foot candles
@TheLecaQueen Thanks
Is it just me or are your videos getting 'longer' (pwah! 🤣me so funny)

@@TheLecaQueen I was so-tally joking: 'longer' .... 'long method.' My g/f keeps telling me to keep the dad-jokes on the inside, but I never listen.

I couldn't view either. I already have my transition pots ready to go anyway. Did my holes as well. I was just curious for the future.
Oh dear! What can I say. Maybe it does something with the site analytics, I don't know. I am so sorry about that.
What is nutrition solution?
A mixture of fertiliser and water.
Two beautiful specimens; although one was more mature they both did very well…..🌵🌵🪴🪴
Yes they did. I spent a really long time in the store trying to get the same size. The store keeper started looking at me funny 😁 😂
