Potato bake better then Dazz’s ?

- Ingredients
3 cloves garlic, minced
350g cream
80ml milk
250g truffle brie (any soft cheese will work)
2kg potato
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. In a bowl add the cream, minced garlic, and milk and mix.
2. Add torn brie, salt and pepper and mix.
3. Slice in the potatoes and stir well.
4. Layer the potatoes in an oven-safe dish or skillet.
5. Cook at 180c for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you have a golden top and the potatoes are cooked through.
6. Enjoy!

Wow...that bite was steaming hot, and she didn't even blow on it...took it like a champ.
You made me watch this 5 times over. If you look, there is a slight edit (jump) in the cut. It is very well done, but it's there. The giveaway after the cut is no steam coming off the potatoes anymore.
You see, the trick is ... dazzle is also steaming hot so it doesn't burn her.

And mandolins are terrifying - I bought one but was too terrified to use it so I gave it to a family member and I purchased them a no-cut glove which they forget to wear and have sliced themselves twice
Use the center of your palm and extend your fingers. Exercise caution and with experience it should be fine

In France, to have an even taste of brie, we start by heating up the cream in a saucepan, in order to melt the cheese in it. And please, do not waste brie's crust. You can perfectly eat it, and the major part of the taste of the cheese is in it.
It doesn't melt as easily though. In either case I doubt it was wasted.
A lot of people don’t like the taste of the crust which is why most restaurants remove it
I like a bite of the brie along with its crust but not the crust alone. How do you get it melted without breaking the rest?
I ADORE soft cheeses, especially their flavor-packed rinds. At the same time, I don't imagine those deliciously pungent rinds would be well-suited to a potato bake. The texture would ruin that silky smooth consistency of cream and cheese with which Andy coated those lovely thin discs of potato.
I undoubtedly agree that the extra flavor would be a bonus. Unfortunately, the grainy texture the rind would add to, as he already demonstrated, that wondrously smooth creamy filling - would ruinously detract from the enjoyment of the dish.
Hence, the relatively small added flavor benefit simply isn't worth it. I suspect that's the reasoning behind his choice. I know it'd be mine ;) Cheers!!
