I used this video to change the headlamp assemblies on a 2009 honda civic sedan. Thank you for the great step by step. One thing I did wrong that I didn’t pay attention to are the black clips holding the front bumper on. The clips are in 2 pieces. The middle and the outside. I pried the whole thing and destroyed the pieces. I salvaged enough to keep everything together. I just ordered more replacements. Don’t do what I did.
Wow! Thanks for this video. You’ve thought me more than my dad in 16 minutes. God bless you, just changed my headlights👌🏽
@8:03 is a great shot, looks like you blasted those threads though😂(i know it was probably just fighting through rust)
thanks for the tutorial, feel confident in pulling my housings out tomorrow.
Wow, that sucked!
Couldn't have done it without you. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I just finished changing my headlights thanks to your video. I had broken bolts, stripped screws and the brackets had to be replaced. It took me much longer than you, but I managed!
Thanks man. Made my install and day so much easier.
Thanks for the assist! Very easy to follow along.
Great informative video.👍🏻
Was this on a Civic Coupe? Thanks
How long is that extension needed to get to the bolts
FYI, the metal brackets underneath the headlights are probably going to be rusted out. It’s a common issue with 8th generation Honda Civics
Just an fyi the front bezel (plastic shield) that goes across the radiator support is supposed to tuck under that piece you turned black. Right above the Honda H. Great video! Definitely helpful.

Thanks for the video. I never would have been able to figure out how to change my headlight without it ! It is absolutely ridiculous for them to make headlights this difficult to change !!!
+Chris Thompson Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
What if i just want chanhe the bolts
Why did Honda make this so freaking difficult. Other cars the headlight housing is so much easier
Let's replace the transmission while we change the headlight. Ridiculous Honda. Thank you for the detailed video.
No way I'd do this myself. Best guess on what a mechanic, non dealer, might charge?
I'm surprised Honda fenders didn't need to come off.
good video but.. you struggled and banged the headlight back in. and you slapped the bumper back together at the end very sloppy and incorrectly. heard the clip break.
I learned I won’t try this at home. Seriously, Honda requires the nose coming off for everything, it seems. Washer fluid pump replacement as well.
Ugh! I think I’d rather buy a new car.
