I went to a 200g single bevel 7 or 8 years ago. At the time the Grizzlysticks were the only blade receiving any attention. I have several of their designs and the do work amazingly well. I currently am using the masaai 200g exclusively. I do need new heads however and at around $100 per 3 they are among the least cost effective in my opinion. This was incredible information and I like the look of several of the heads he is offering. I will be checking them out really soon. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yep I have a hard time with the cost of most heads these days. I understand it, but dont like it. Glad there are still great glue on heads in single bevel that are great quality and reasonably priced.
I started shooting their 200gr bone head out of my compound a couple years ago. So far I’ve taken two elk and one deer with the same head. All full pass through pulled out of the dirt. Just needs sharpened and it’s ready to go again.
That's not a problem with broadheads that's a problem with arrow tuning and set up. But that's also a reason why they made narrow heads too. Not everyone is going to tune thier gear correctly.
Yep I have had the same problem. He like many broadhead makers this last year have had trouble getting steel and heat treating and welders etc. If I had the time I'd start my own broadhead business, but just am too busy right now.
I enjoy the videos, thanks for putting these together. When I run out of Grizzly’s I’ll try the Abowyer heads. Haven’t taken an animal with my recurve yet. How are you sharpening the single bevel heads?
Great vid. I looked into these a few months back due to one of your other videos. Unfortunately they were out of stock then. I ended up with cutthroat single bevels and VPA 3-blades I’m playing with now. Both shoot great from my setup. I know you prefer single bevel 2-blades and you’ve said in the past you don’t like heads with bleeders. What is it about bleeders you don’t like and what are your thoughts on classic style 3-blades like the VPA or Woodsman? Do you just prefer 2-blade for penetration reasons? Thanks
Yep many of the smaller broadhead companies have been out of stock for a while with the steel shortages and delays in everything . The reasons I don't shoot 3 blade or 4 is because they take longer to sharpen, don't penetrate bone as well, and don't fit in my quiver the way I need for my 6 arrow great northern set up. Bleeders are great but again same as above for me. Nothing wrong with 3 or 4 blades and many people love them. Just not my preference.
Match your feathers wing angle. looking at your arrow from the knock end does the feather and the white base make a letter "L" with the base lip going to the right? if so that is a left wing. Right wing is opposite. You can also look at your fletched arrow from the knock and visualize how the wind will go down the shaft, hit the back of the feather and what direction it will spin the arrow. if it spins left thats left wing and you want left bevel.
One of the only companies making a left bevel which matches MOST factory string twist.
Yep pisses me off tremendously that companies exclude left bevel

These are real nice heads. I have some of the screw-ins. Really tough and sharpen up ridiculously sharp
Agree 100%

Yep amazing heads
You could always shoot through paper and measure the cuts with a string to see the difference! Good video thanks for the info
That would probably work great! I like the idea. Thanks
I had problems in the past with wide blades wind planning.

I kept checking his website all sumer and everything I wanted was always sold out. I'll have to put an order in earlier next year. I want to use them

How are you sharpening the single bevel heads?
You will love both the grizzlies and the abowyers!
I use a file to set the bevel and then a ceramic rod then strop on leather the strop on denim

@@SamkoTradBow Gotchya. Makes sense. Good luck this season!
How do you know if you need left or right bevel

Nope pretty much out of stock ever place and seems to be that way more often than in stock
Wapiti = ‘Wah•peee•ti’
