      Your interview is one of my faves with Cassiy! I've watched almost every video @cassiyjohnson has put out and they are super helpful. I'm discouraged but determined. I've had my shop up for about a year and have a whopping 2 organic sales. Pretty sure I'm not putting enough time into this. I work a 9-5 with weird hours plus "life" commitments. I love that you mentioned liking what you are doing. I love doing this, even though I'm not having much success yet.

    Thank you for another inspiring video, to both Christina and Cassiy! I've learned so much from your youtube channel Cassiy, they (and some others) keep my inspiration up to keep listing and working with my etsy-store. I think I've watched almost all of your videos by now. Some days I'm about to give up on my little etsy store that I started in January, but then an inspirational youtube-video like this light that little spark up again to keep going. So thank you so much for that, I really appreciate that you share both your knowledge and inspiration / From another snowy area in the world, but in the north part of Sweden.

    I really love all the advice. I think what I'm struggling more with right now is finding a groove, I hear all the successful Etsy Businesses with 1000's of listings, what is your daily process? Like do you do everything from A to Z from research to creating to listing in one day? If so how many listings per day would that be? No one is talking about like their full-time print-on-demand schedule and I would be very curious to know how that looks like. Very beginner here, taking all the info I can! Thanks so much!

    • @legzn2423

      I think half of them pay for classes or get coerced to pay. I was consulted by a so called Etsy guru who wanted $12,000 for a 6 month class and said I can pay $1800 a month! Wtf would do that? I told him to take a hike.

      @@KC-ed1dj nope. He shared his screen claiming a single mom went from zero sales to six figure income. I quickly only saw a few hundred sales nothing earth shattering. It was for a Keto Journal?
      Etsy now allows wholesale manufacturers on the platform that crank out shirts and sell them cheap for $8 because I’m sure the quality is less than perfect.
      I make my t shirts and sometimes utilize Printify to do the printing of my designs since they do DTG and I don’t have that ability currently. Barely get any views. So I’m not buying her “six figure income” unless she is willing to share her first started earnings to now. Otherwise it’s all smoke

    Ok so i realize that all of the orders so far that i have recurved have taken over ten days to arrive. Is this something I am doing? When you make a shipping profile in etsy, which shipping provider and type of shipping should I be choosing? if i choose say, fedex two day, wouldn’t this increase the $4.95 shipping cost i am charged by printify? I’m just confused in how that works. I hope this makes sense.

      Exactly plus now Etsy apparently allows manufacturers like wholesalers on so it’s not even a true handmade platform anymore.
      I have t shirts, mugs and wine glasses that I created designs for and literally every shop has t shirts.
      Keywords on Etsy I swear is a scam. I’ve researched and changed my keywords so many times. Then the ads are rip offs. I used adds had a few views but only 2 sales. It’s impossible. With or without POD. That’s why I am skeptical about her earnings. 500 listings? Even 100? Should t have to have that many to get some foot traffic one would think.

    Hey Cassiy, loving all your videos and have been inspired to start an etsy store thank youu :)) Can you help me figure one thing out - If i am selling physical wall art, is it possible to create a listing where if the customer picks the smaller size options I will print it myself and post to the customer but when they choses a larger print size in the same listing, it can be handled by a print on demand company ? Sorry for the weird random question but it would really help me figure out how to start listing my products. Sizing is confusing me atm 😊Thanks so much ❤

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +2

      Yes you can do this no problem! So this might sound confusing but you would create the listing in Etsy with all of your size variations. Then say that the “skus vary for each size” on the page where you create the variations in Etsy.
      Then when customers order your larger sizes, you can go into your “other orders” tab on Printify. This is where orders show up that are not connected to Etsy already. So all of your orders would show up here even for the smaller sizes, but you would just connect the sales that are for the larger sizes!
      Hope that helps and makes sense!

      www.canva.com/licensing-explained/
      Can I sell products or merchandise with my design on it?
      Yes! All of our photos, fonts and graphics can be used to create designs for printing on products for sale (like t-shirts, mugs, books and other merchandise). Please note, you can’t sell standalone prints of Canva content, such as a printout of a stock photo (without any other design elements) on a t-shirt.

      @@CassiyJohnson Another youtuber said Canva said we can sell the products but not as POD because we would be giving them Canva's file which is file sharing so thought I would ask you because I have been with you the longest and trust your opinion. TY

      I am definitely not a pro at all with this and struggle with those things every time my sister and I do a photoshoot lol Wish I had good advice to share but I don't have enough good advice I could share yet.
      I do half the time pay to go to a photographers studio and have them use their lighting and camera and they just send me all of the unedited pics at the end! So feel free to find a local photographer to help you if that is something you'd want to invest in as well as a beginner.

    Hi Cassiy.. creative fabrica’s commercial license for POD states that we have to remove all of the designs we made using their resources from our stores when we end their subscription. They don’t have a lifetime subscription available so we are locked in with them for life if we decide to use them to create our POD designs. In this case what do you suggest as an alternative to creative fabrica?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      If you use their graphics to create your own designs with instead of just using their designs as is, then you are able to leave them up after cancelling the subscription under their normal commercial license. You can always purchase designs one by one on Etsy from sellers but I don't know of any other similar services.

    Digital nomad has become my ultimate goal after starting POD. I lost my local storefront during the pandemic and it not only sunk me financially 😅 but was soul crushing. Immediately after, I felt like I should take the time to find something else I love in art and creativity and decided on graphic design. I still haven’t really learned graphic design 😬 but my searches led me to life hacker couple somehow and then to both of you! I started about a year ago now and just hit $88k revenue. It’s definitely not enough to replace my previous income or dig me out of this pandemic created hole but hearing that it’s possible and seeing progress (slow as it might seem) each month makes me super hopeful. I’ve been putting in more effort into product and keyword research this month but still find social media use daunting. 😬😬😬 Do you use social media a lot to boost sales?

      Hi, Melissa. Can I ask you a couple of questions? How many listings did you have to reach that revenue? Is your shop super niched down? Is your product similar to other shops or something unique? Just trying to figure out why I can't get one of my newer shops to have consistent sales and views. Older shops doing well. New shops I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong for 2023 Etsy..

    • @Katsmom6

      @@legzn2423 I use everbee 😊 and I use all the tips I get on youtube for how to do keyword research. I’ve only just started making that a habit when I make new designs. When I first started I didn’t really do that except for looking at best sellers or popular shirts, seeing what they use in their titles and then scrolling down to the bottom of their listing to get tag ideas. But I had no idea which tags were the most helpful or being searched for more than others.

      @@KC-ed1dj I replied back but I’m not sure where it went. 🤔 Sorry about that. I didn’t want you to think I ignored your response so to sum it up: I don’t have a niched down store. I have a general store. And although my store is in line with most other POD shops, I try my best to make my own versions and arrange my listings nicely, using what I hope are cute mock-ups (that’s improved bc my first are not that great tbh). My best sellers are somewhat unique so that advice rings true - to do your own versions. It’s hard to compete with an already established best seller but I can gain insight and inspiration from them and just learn how to get better at making my own. I also bought some designs from Etsy and creative fabrica but they are not really my best sellers. Guess there’s too many? Pinterest is handy for inspiration as well. A handful of my 1000 listings are actually the bulk of that revenue. I try to list daily, try to use everbee for research now and listen to people like this who are willing to share such valuable insight (they’re also super motivating). It’s because of them I feel I was able to do ok in my first year. I try to apply as much of what they say as possible. Lastly, I advertise to my daily max on shirts that are already selling and new shirts (temporarily). I’m not sure if that’s worth it yet. I started in February but it’s increased views. The downside is that it seems to have decreased conversion. So while I’ve made some additional sales and received additional views, I’ve only really broken even. I’m not sure if I’ll continue that strategy or not. I’ll definitely be on here more now trying to figure that advertising piece out because I’m still pretty clueless there. I just don’t really get it. Yet. Lol

      @Melissa Dierna Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Super helpful! 😊 Doesn't Etsy force you into off-site ads? Or do you mean in addition to those you are running more ads on Etsy? Ads never seemed to work for me. I concentrate on trying to create repeat sellers so that Etsy will give them high placement in search.

    So I finally had some friends order shirts from my Etsy store but when I went to printify there it wanted me to pay for the order is there a simple way to make this automatic? Like where the money for the order on Etsy goes to printify and auto applies payments to start the production? Idk if that makes sense

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      No the payments are not connected, the payments will always come off of your own card to product items.
