Awesome video! Very eloquent. Just thought I may give you some options that maybe you haven't checked out yet.1. Rickshaw (they are not hard cases, so maybe not your preference but something like the about to release Sinclair should be plenty protective enough for many use cases) 2. Galen leather have their magnum case which is similar to Visconti I believe, and they recently added a version with zipper 3. For two pens I've been eyeing the Musubi pen case. I think they are structured and I have heard some good reviews. Side note, totally agree with you on superior labor. Love the look but I've not been able to pull the trigger for the reasons you mentioned.

From what I can see, if I am seeing the same pen cases as you, the Rickshaw is soft shell. Cloth I think? So softer than leather. Sinclair is the same, except it is nylon? Again, Musubi looks like cloth? Galen’s Magnum Opus are all magnetically secured? I haven’t seen a Magnum Opus with a zipper yet. That would have been the closest to the Visconti I showed here. Other than that, although all of the ones you mentioned look lovely when I Google them, they are either made to have soft shells or have magnetic closures, which sadly present all the issues I mentioned here. Galen’s Magnum Opus is promising in my opinion. They really do put thoughts into their designs. I wonder what Visconti has these days. I haven’t checked them out. Thanks for watching and for the recommendations!

@@TwoMiceOnMyBookshelf Sinclair is padded I believe, and rickshaw also have coozy pouches which you can stuff coozy cases into. But yea they aren't hardshell cases. I believe Musubi cases have a cardboard (or some other material) structure inside that give the case some rigidity. In terms of the zipper Galen ones, I saw them appearing in recent reviews on RUclips, but maybe they haven't been released just yet. I think Visconti changed their designs the recent years but I could be wrong.

@@mikeshi2948 I found the zippered Magnum Opus by Galen Leather in crazy horse! But not in their shop. For some reason it doesn’t come up when you search Galen’s website? I shall review that once I have it and use it for a bit! Thanks for the tip!! 😁

@@mikeshi2948 It has arrived and I love it! Some thoughts on it and comparison with the one by Visconti coming up! Thanks again!!

Any with a belt loop for when your shirt lacks a pocket altogether, or is too shallow to hold a pen? As a guy, I don't carry a purse, no matter what other name it may be called.

I have not come across one with a belt loop so far. The world of fountain pen is filled with custom made items so I am sure you can find some one who may be willing to do a custom order for one. Most people with a fountain pen hobby has a paper hobby as well since they go hand in hand. No use to have a fountain pen when you don't have the right paper to enjoy it with. This usually mean most people carry a sketch pad or a notebook with their fountain pens. That usually means carrying a bag or carry a folio cover with your pen and paper in it. Your gender, whether you are a man or a woman, has nothing to do with it. Or. If you feel very strongly against carrying any form of fuctional container to carry your bits and pieces in, you simply will have to carry eveything with your own two hands. Good luck with that!
