    If he kept his arms and legs together they would have had less resistance built more speed and thus would have gone farther

    • @MCshadr217
      @MCshadr217 8 лет назад +118

      +Michael L. Let's see you try to keep balance on a rocky terrain like this. They obviously would have normally kept their legs and arms in. But if you watched it PROPERLY. You can clearly see they keep nearly sliding off the side.

    • @takeoverjupiter
      @takeoverjupiter 8 лет назад +128

      +KrazyKiwi first off. If the slide was considered rocky terrain than that slide would no longer be a flat service and hitting slide like that going 30 mph would send you to the hospital. The bulges on the sides would have kept them on the slide. Nothing would make them go off the sides if it's a straight slide. And yes I could easily do it

    • @epacig
      @epacig 8 лет назад +100

      +Michael L. Yeah, I never understood why they considered this myth busted when they couldn't even go down the slide like a pro...going down with legs and arms spread wide is going to slow you down considerably, and they still achieved over 70 feet.

    • @kenneth842
      @kenneth842 8 лет назад +56

      +Michael L. They did it because they wanted to imitate the exact position that the people in the video did, not their own position that would mess up there discovery.

    • @brianwalker1688
      @brianwalker1688 8 лет назад +3

      +Michael L. why would this slow them down? Where is the resistance coming from?

    he is slowing his self down, it don't matter how far you go up on the ramp if you are going to keep it slow by putting your arms down and legs out. Put somebody on there with some balls and do a real test. T.V. bullshit anyway

    mythbusters aren't accurate with their myth busting trials...the slide in the myth video had a wider curve.

    the one thing that would've affected this for the better would have been if he have gone down forcing his body up so that all the surface tension was just his feet and shoulder blades, effectively making them skids.

    I believe that the material of the slide and the wetsuits create far too much friction.
