I'm no expert in physics so take this with a grain of salt, but I would expect a smaller bouncy ball to bounce higher. I would guess the greater the mass, the more inertia meaning it would require more energy to stop and change direction (bounce). Plus the greater surface area of a large bouncy ball I think would mean that more kinetic energy was transformed into heat as the material stretches and contracts. Love to see some tests of like a 2 lb bouncy ball vs a 20 pound bouncy ball.
@@SoneGurkeI haven't had to do much physics calculations in a while so I can't off hand determine what each balls terminal velocity would be if it achieved that while falling. Assuming each balls velocity wasn't massively different when it reached the ground, the inertia of the much larger mass would be much higher. I would think the larger ball would lose more energy through heat as it stretches than the smaller ball, meaning less vertical force back upwards. But it would be interesting to see in practice.
Keep in mind it doesn't bounce from perfectly stiff ground. That ground covered by grass absorbs huge amount of energy from the fall. It would be different story if they dropped it on concrete pad.

"You'd love to see them drop them loads". There I fixed it
I knew the Nokia phone was durable but I DID NOT expect it to survive that fall. Holy crap!
bro its nokia
you could throw it in an erupting volcano and it’d probably look good as new
The only reason they stopped making them is because they'd run out of customers, nobody would ever need a new one lol
The legends are based on countless people doing stuff like this. I used to throw mine with as much spin as possible, as high as possible (which was about a three story house) and try to catch it. Most of the times I did not catch it, and it just hit the asphalt at supersonic speeds (falling + the spinning). Did this countless times without issues. The front and back just popped off and snapped right back.
I would like to see it go up against Thor's Hamer 😆. It probably will be even, or Nokia win
Greetings from the BIG SKY. As a crazy old man of 74, I applaud your vivaciousness.

Hey! Did you know God is three in one!? The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit! Bless him!
Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him! True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better!
Have a blessed day, everyone! ❤
Your worries (yes, anxiety), depression, suicidal thoughts, EVERYTHING will melt away and be NO MORE when you lean on God and put your trust in him! When I have physical pain, I literally pray and the Lord quells it, that I am healed!
Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! People are bothered by his name. The world hates the truth and wants to continue living sinfully! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous.

where would science be without this show? thank god for you guys!
I just knew the bouncy ball was gonna split in half! The point where the two halves were glued together was easily the structurally weakest point of the ball.
It didn't turn out so well for the Death Star either.
Right? as soon as I saw that seam, I knew it was gonna pop in half.

When that bike went down with a toy dinosaur on top of it the bike made a bee buzzing sound and the disco ball broke into some pieces and those three boys had thrown that giant bouncy ball down and that giant bouncy ball had broken in half.

Those toughbooks are generally very tough and built to military standards. When I worked at a IT recycling centre we threw one from an antenna tower about 50 meters high and it took about 8 throws before it became inoperable
Anyone in the military or has been enlisted will tell you that "military grade" means it's absolutely garbage.

As much as i love the dam, i miss the weather tower shenanigans a bit
I'm no expert in physics so take this with a grain of salt, but I would expect a smaller bouncy ball to bounce higher. I would guess the greater the mass, the more inertia meaning it would require more energy to stop and change direction (bounce). Plus the greater surface area of a large bouncy ball I think would mean that more kinetic energy was transformed into heat as the material stretches and contracts. Love to see some tests of like a 2 lb bouncy ball vs a 20 pound bouncy ball.
i would guess it reached it's terminal velocity along the way
@@SoneGurkeI haven't had to do much physics calculations in a while so I can't off hand determine what each balls terminal velocity would be if it achieved that while falling. Assuming each balls velocity wasn't massively different when it reached the ground, the inertia of the much larger mass would be much higher. I would think the larger ball would lose more energy through heat as it stretches than the smaller ball, meaning less vertical force back upwards. But it would be interesting to see in practice.
Jiggly, such a jiggly ball, soft and jiggly, um.. 😶
Keep in mind it doesn't bounce from perfectly stiff ground. That ground covered by grass absorbs huge amount of energy from the fall. It would be different story if they dropped it on concrete pad.
