The lip on the front of the cup definitely prevented a hole-in-one. I blame Gaunson.
Same thing I was going to say exactly. If the cup was even with the surface of the board and particularly if the lip was to the backside of the hole I think they might have gotten two, at least.

I'm at least 88% sure they would've gotten one in, had it not been there. (44x2=88 😊)
However, in fairness, they probably didn't realize it protruded as I bet initially, they had the board level while putting the cup in. So it wasn't until they gave the wood an incline, that the cup protruded...

Even though the ramp around the cup did slow the balls somewhat...most were still flying by very quickly. Especially judging by the one that smashed off the pin super fast.

Great vid! I reckon you can see in the replays at the end that the golf hole was ever so slightly raised above the wood plank which popped up a few ones that could otherwise have gone in - a shame!

I noticed that, too. However, those balls were coming down with PACE and would've had to hit the pin and drop in perfectly.
We did a little test and it did work, probably our biggest problem was that the golf balls came in with way too much pace. For some reason much faster than the individual putts 🤷🏻♂️

I can head up in spring / summer and see if I can find a few. I live about 30 miles west of the Utah Olympic Park park up in Kimball Junction. Granted, it says "Park City" as the address, but it's Kimball Junction, as opposed to Historic Park City.

At 11:40 there is white dots on the screen that are not golfballs but look just like the golfballs! What on earth is that! I think thia really needs answering. It looks like a glitch from the future because the dots are right where the goldballs show up a few seconds later!

Your pvc pipe wasn't flush with the ramp on the incline. That's the predominate reason the golf ball roll didn't go in. Still an EPIC video Gents.
There was at least one at 12:36 that bounced right off that lip that could have gone in too.

For the golf balls, the lip of the cup was above the wood acting as a ramp, it needed to be lower

The first one, the hoop was too close and/or the ramp was too high, evidenced by the balls going right over the top of the hoop.
They should have a redo
And on the 2000 golf balls the front edge of the cup was taller than the plywood green so anything that would've rolled into the cup bounced off instead.

Whoever is best with the driver in hand, drives. At their expected aim point, another geezer stands with a Kashmir willow cricket bat made from Kashmir willow. (Kashmir willow is harder than English willow so is better for golf balls). The guy with the Kashmir willow cricket bat hits the flying golf ball on the full, and measure the total distance the ball flies.
I would totally watch an entire video dedicated to making that putt!! Who else agrees??
