Lord bless us all. I spent my teens marching for civil rights. I have not heard a performance than more clearly represents my beliefs from the time I was a young woman, to now, when I am a great grandmother. I shed tears every time I watch this video. Home Free has nailed it.
This song is a representation of every one of us, that's simple to understand. When they are calling out the racists, fascists, etc. they call them friends. Because everyone deserves to be given the chance to change, that when we are called upon to make said change we don't act with anger, but with friendship and forgiveness. An angry, mean-spirited man/woman, has a deeper self that truly feels that what they think is wrong. This isn't a song made to tell us to fight back against these people but to love them and pray for them, this is why they are called friends.
That's what I love about this song, it's all about the good in everyone, even the worst of people have a spark of good, sometimes it'll just take some love for that spark to manifest
"We have more in common than differences", brings to mind a line from an old Neil Diamond song. "We have sweated beneath the same sun, looked up in wonder at the same moon, and wept when it was all done for being done to soon."
This song gives a feeling of primal and tribal depths. Hard hitting beats and strong tones! We need this more than ever right now! ❤

I actually have loved watching dozens of reactors react to this video! I agree that if it made you mad, you needed to hear it. On the flip side, if you felt nothing, to me, that's almost worse. This song is soooo powerful that I cannot imagine not feeling strongly about it. The message is clear at the end with Tim saying we should be good to one another. 1 smile, 1 compliment, 1 positive response online... can make a world of difference. Positive thinking can be contagious! ❤
Paul Cauthen who wrote the piece said he was one of the people mentioned at one time or another he has a good attitude and is doing what he can to change the world
Mr. Dave, I have just watched this video three times in a row.... that's how much I love it. This video was made in 2020. How is it that it has just now, July 2022, gotten to RUclips? That's a rhetorical question and needs no answer. How did it make me feel? My goosebumps had goosebumps. Every time. Everybody walking this land is about me, you, my brothers, my husband, my son's, my daughter....EVERYBODY. Somebody had to say this. Thank God for Paul Coffin. Thank God for Tim Foust and the Home Free gang. Thank God for you, Dave, and every other reactor choosing to show this video and hear this song because it's Home Free. But, more than that, because God moved on your heart to not ignore it for something flashier. More popular. Funnier. Thank God good, kind, intelligent people recognize and speak out against all that is and has been so wrong for so long. This is THE message/song we need right now! Right now! Yes? Yes!
"They summoned the dragon!" HAHA! Chance did pretty good with the bass there too! It is such a powerful song, sung by powerful singers, I can't imagine a more relevant song right now.

First of all, I noticed Tim's haircut. It looks great and gives him a new look. But, all in all, this is one of my favorites by HOME FREE. This song has been one of my daily highlights until they recently came up with songs for this year in quarantine. Their voices blend so well together and I couldn't have asked for a new favorite band. Love them so much.

I loved this song on the show American gods. Home Free did an amazing cover. And 100% truth. I have always felt like the black sheep of my family. And I told my cousin that I thought everyone hated me. She said to me "Nobody hates you. Hate is a very strong word!"

This song and video is so amazing and powerful. Loved it. I certainly hope Home Free gets all the recognition the deserve for their incredible work. I know people who won't give them a listen because they don't have an appreciation for Home Free and see them just as a country group. Home Free is so much more.

You were talking about the rhythm and how it has this seriousness that draws you in. It reminded me a lot of Johnny Cash’s song God’s gonna cut you down. I almost feel a really strong reference to it in the sound and the way it’s written.

It's such a powerful and relevant song, that Chance introduced it to the others, and they felt said exactly what they needed to say. Kudos to Paul Cauthen for writing an excellent song in the first place, and to Home Free for an incredible video, the diversity of real people walkin' this land. (And I'm not in the US, but as far as I'm concerned this land can be our whole planet, because it's not just one country that needs to hear this message, it's all of us.)
I was surprised, thrilled and moved when I first heard this - surprised by the sound, which is awesome but not their usual thing, thrilled by the fact that they've chosen to stand up and demand that people listen, and moved by the message they are sending out.
