My dream is to go to a Simple Plan concert. Man, these guys are my first ever rock band. They've been going for so long. Now I'm old enough to be in a concert, I fucking wish it happens. It's 2015, I think I need my chance. This goes for everyone who hasn't been as well.
Update: I did end up going to one of their shows during Warped tour 2018! It was hella awesome and i had so much fun to hear all the songs LIVE. They didnt disappoint

They're not underrated, they just have a devoted fanbase. Many SP fans have been SP fans for a while, and know that SP is here to stay.
I think the thing about SP is that to their fans they're kind of like that loud, wacky friend who nevertheless sticks up for you when you're being singled out, defends you when you're vulnerable and makes you feel better when you're feeling down. For the most part, we're just happy that they're around. Most people only enter rabid fan-mode when there's an event going on.

It's kind of surprising, really, that they're not bigger than they are. They were a pretty big deal in their earlier days but their extremely devoted fan base are the only ones who really even know they're still around. Admittedly I had completely forgotten about them until just recently and I've been listening to them almost non-stop the last couple months since I remembered them, and in my opinion one of the best feelings in the world is rediscovering a band that you used to love back in the day and then listening to everything you've missed from them over the years. At least in my case, it's reminded me of why I loved them in the first place. I was only in middle school/early high school when I first heard about them, and somewhere along the way I became more obsessed with Green Day, who have become my all time favorite band for a number of personal reasons as their music has gotten me through some serious stuff over the years. But in the last few years I've rediscovered Simple Plan and Bowling For Soup as well, and its reminded me of why I fell in love with the Pop Punk genre in the first place. Its fun, its catchy, its energetic, and its the perfect representation of, as someone stated in another comment, the idea that getting older is mandatory but growing up is optional. They're all just giant kids, amd always will be, and that's how I try to live my life, because I also believe in the idea of never letting your inner kid die. I so wish BFS and SP had toured together in the US and not just Europe because I would have loved to see them both and cross it off my bucket list. But yeah, I agree with what you mena about its not so much that they're underrated, they just have a very tight-knit, devoted fan base.

I know that Simple Plan is not as huge as 1D, Maroon 5, BackstreetBoys, and so many other famous Bands out there, but I believe that their music has a lot more sense and their lyrics are so true and relatable. That makes them my favorite band ever.

My whole life I have problems with self esteem. During the school years I was bullied for being ugly, fat and always living alone. But this song at that time helped me a lot. Recently, two people who I thought were my best friends dropped me, and I still don’t know why. Simple Plan has been my fight band, with songs like “The Rest of Us”, “Thank You”, “Outta My System”, and “One Day.” I honestly don’t know if I would’ve gotten over those traitors without Simple Plan backing me up with their songs.

I just love this band so much! Especially since it is so rare when bandmates are so friendly to each other, they're almost like brothers... Listening them since 12. I'm 20 now. These guys never fail to inspire and be awesome and their songs saved my life!!! ;)

This reminds me of "A Big Package for You''. I'd love to see another one; watching this band have so much fun means a lot to me after helping me through some tough times. Simple Plan was the first real band I ever had the pleasure of listening to. As soon as I could afford the first CD, I bought it and I still have it. SP will always hold a special place in my heart.
