By default it's the clinch knot because I'm usually too impatient to learn any different ones, and especially when I am having to tie because I just lost my lure.
I'm very intrigued by how you twist the line back towards the lure while tying the lop knot. I have always twisted away from the lure, but it seems like towards would cinch down better. Thanks for the insight.
First time seeing someone use a figure 8 , we use that knot a lot for industrial rope access . Why aren’t more rope access knots used for fishing ? We literally trust those knots with our lives and there super simple to tie 🧐
each knot in fishing is useful in its own way, when you need to open the game of bait, here you can’t compare with knots for mountaineering, the main thing is reliability
Interesting . Just wondering like if I can use them while climbing or vise versa , not comparing ..I thought it had to do with the diameter of the rope or line used.

Tried the first, kinda messed up in end with 2 knots that are not joined

Did the first knot, went outside to test it. $10 spoon ended up in top of tree. I need practice
