Wow, this thing is awesome! I have the pocket 2 and I love it but this one is so much better! The $700+ after tax price tag is kinda hard to swallow though.

Totally agree that it’s a steep price, but it’s a big step up from the Pocket 2 IMO.
Agree. But im thinking of selling my pocket 2 and keep the microphone, stand and lens from the creator combo i think its the same as the pocket 3 combo kit so I can just buy the camera and lower the price to $519 instead of paying $669 for the kit.
At least it's more feature rich and better hardware now.

Can't wait for that HUGE comparison video to drop! Last week I was ready to upgrade my iPhone 12 Pro Max to a 15 - but based on what that comparison video shows I might hold onto the 12 a bit longer and pick up the pocket 3 -- thanks for all the work you do making these videos to them help creators make better content in other niches!

Very helpful and comprehensive, thank you. Your Pocket 2 video helped inform my purchasing choice and it was such a welcome addition to my cameras. I was absolutely shocked how much we use it when we travel. The full size has its place but these pocket cameras fill that gap for when you don't have it and your phone just won't cut it. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Pocket 3!

On the Pocket 2 I have problems with wireless transmission. After 10 - 20 min I get a msg about overheating and loose signal. I'm curious about wireless performance with DJI P3.

Great review! The mic of the creator combo can be used alone (without the pocket 3 workind) as a sound recorder? for example if you want just to record audio and sync it in post with other camera like osmo action 4? thanks!

Great video - thank you! That's actually the best review I've seen - the dual video comparisons of the 2 and 3 were especially helpful, and really reinforced the upgrades. I think your video side by sides, there, really helped to showcase the quality upgrades and improvements.
I loved my 2 - but accidentally dropping it at home in northwest Ireland recently killed the gimbal (before I knew the 3 existed), but the 3 looks like an essential upgrade (to use all my Christmas present money on), not least with travel to the other side of the world later this year.
So, I'll get the 3 in a few weeks - thanks again! 🙏

You always do a great job on these videos but this one was really tops! Thanks for an excellent review. How do you edit your videos, DaVinci Resolve? Adobe Premiere? And do the DJI video files play well in editing?
I still have the pocket 1 and it's still working great. The pocket 3 seems to have the wow factors but the price tag is a 'wow' by itself😅.
I had the original Pocket too. The image quality is MUCH improved on the Pocket 3.
What this thing can do in that price range is actually outstanding and 100% worth the money.

What is the Mega Pixel size for single shot mode? (great video btw)
I looked it up.. it's mp is 9.4, and it's a 20mm f2.0 equivalent.
Do you find that the wide lens magnet is just as weak as the pocket 2 or is it stronger? Mine comes off of the pocket 2 so easily

Thank you so much for this stellar review! I own the DJI Pocket 2 and to be honest, I haven't really made the most of it because the pandemic happened after I acquired it. This makes me think twice about getting the Pocket 3 but I do see that this new release offers amazing upgrades, especially due to the 1-inch sensor, better colors, and better tracking. Very enticing. Having said that, I want to point out that as a Pocket 2 owner, I feel sad that DJI has seemingly abandoned the product in terms of firmware updates. I feel like several issues of the Pocket 2, including the skincolor rendition, tracking, and even the overall dynamic range could have been improved via software upgrade. I hope DJI is listening. Cheers!
