- Let's build the newly tooled Airfix 1/72 Mitsubishi A6M2b 21 Zero Zeke as depicted during the Guadalcanal campaign. This plane represents the 3rd Air Group, 202st Kokuta, flying out of Rahul in 1942. I will go through the entire build start to finish, and point out things of interest as I go. For a more in depth analysis, I created a vlog series as I built this here:
• Airfix 1/72 A6M2b Zero...
I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did making it!

Thanks Matt, I appreciate you following along with the build!
another epic build there.
Thank you Neil :) I'm happy to have you follow along with it!
The Zero and the Spitfire are my two fav planes. Nice build and display
Thanks! I wanted to do something a little unique with this one, and it actually is a companion piece to the 1/72 Wildcat as they fought in the same theatre. Showing it in an aggressive dive like that, I wanted to show the elegance of the design as well as remind the looker of what it might have looked like in an aggressive action.
Damm Nice build Joe you out done yourself on this one brother
Thanks Shawn! It came out pretty much how I wanted, so no complaints! Thanks for checking it out man

Glad you like them Xavier! This is one I've never done before, so it was quite the learning experience
@@joekmodels yeah well it turned out very nice and I just ordered a 1 72 zero so I'm gonna try that and see how that turns out
What music did you use? That was so relaxing. And how did you get the control stick off the sprue without breaking it?
It's default music from windows photos/create movie background music called Misty Mountaintop. I probably used sprue cutters or gently sawed it off with the hobby knife taking care not to bend.
