Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) is a seafood restaurant in Thailand, located in the Samut Songkhram (สมุทรสงคราม) province, which is about an hour drive south of Bangkok (unfortunately it's not in Bangkok or I would be eating here every week).
It was actually New Years Eve day 2016, and so Ying and I and our friend Joel were ready for a special Thai seafood meal, and Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) delivered to the maximum. Here are the dishes we ate:
Pla too dadia (ปลาทูตาเตี๊ยะ) - This was some kind of braised mackerel, which to me kind of tasted like teriyaki. They were pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but delicious with rice.
Meuk kai kem (หมึกไข่เค็ม) - At Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) they serve an outstanding version of squid stir fried with salted egg yolk. The squid was fresh and it the yolk made a wonderful sauce.
Hoy lawd pad cha (หอยหลอดผัดฉ่า) - This dish was outstanding, including razor clams, stir fried with chilies and garlic and sweet basil.
Galam pad nam pla (กะหล่ำผัดน้ำปลา) - For vegetable we tried the cabbage stir fried with fish sauce and a few dried chilies. It was incredibly good and simple.
Boo pad prik Thai dam (ปูผัดพริกไทยดำ) - By far the best dish of this Thai seafood meal was the boo pad prik Thai dam (ปูผัดพริกไทยดำ), the mud crab with black pepper, it was unbelievably good - one of the best things I think that I've ever had in my life. The crab was huge, and the flavor of the black pepper, garlic, and onions within the dish were award winning.
Our total bill of everything we ate came to 2,030 Thai Baht (about $55).

+Issac Ruffy Bhutan is a very insular country, it is almost in terms of global community and commercial progression a throw-back state, and they are very content to be so. They are incredibly proud and protective of their traditions, which have remained for want of a better word - unsullied, by modernism; that said they are also an amazingly friendly people, just wary of the wider world and it's effects upon their culture.
I am convinced in their own way they are simply making sure that their country is shown in a positive light and no cultural faux pas were made. That is no small price to ask I suppose to be allowed to experience the beauties and innocence of a what could be called a lost way of life. I too am very much looking forward to watching these videos, for memories sakes if nothing else.
The food is one thing. Tho I just came to see his facial expression. You already know what's gonna happen, but it never gets old...

Oh my gosh.. Mark this whole meal is out of this world! It is insane how this made you have a silent moment, Ying sure has good choices on what to order. And that crab looks overwhelmingly tasty, as I was watching this made me drool!
Mark does get 'foodgasm' eating crab and lobster dishes! Incredible! His all videos are 5star rated to me!

I can feel all the flavors in my mouth while watching your videos in my bed at 5 am in switzerland and outside with -5 degrees...
so I have realized that there is two variations to the "delicious face " the first is the oldy but goody slow lean towards the side , the second or what I like to call "delicious face 2.0 " which is the lean and the the bounce that resembles a child that took a bite out of candy bar for the first time. lol good job mark .

Aroi! I've had these dishes countless number of times. They are simply out of this world. Especially the black pepper crab and Squid with salted egg. Yum.
I get Black Pepper Crab at Kim Son here in Sugar Land, Texas, which is described on the menu as "To die for for!" I don't like that expression, but it is absolutely fantastic! Unbelievably great! So, I can identify with your appreciation of the Black Pepper Crab that you're enjoying here!

They may have used Sichzuan black pepper for the crab. It makes a wonderful difference in cooking. When I tired the authentic stuff, I was blown away by it. i am currently falling in love with cuban black pepper. So warm and slighty sweet even.
