I was about to return my bug zapper since the UV light did not go on. I followed the sticker's directions to remove the packaging but didn't think to remove the sticker itself. I watched your video just as I was creating a return label to Home Depot so thanks for the 10 seconds from 1:55-2:05! Thank you for a great review!
... bought one a few days ago (for a serious, sudden horsefly problem). Can't BELIEVE the HUGE Amount of dead flies in the catch tray. I run both 4 and 6ah batteries in mine - no problem with fitment...even if the flies aren't kilt outright it zaps them stupid making them easy to kill manually...an 'electric chair' for pests
So how did the lure do for your bug zapper once installed? I don’t think it did a lot for my residential ones at home. I have 3 units running full time and they are awesome. Slaying mosquitoes is the best!
I switched to Ryobi cordless tools last year. All my 18v batteries are 2ah, 4ah, 6ah, and 8ah. I've never seen a 3ah battery until watching your video. Were these batteries discontinued?
"Spring season" 5:21 ..haha ..that tropical island doesnt actually have winter and therefore it doesnt have spring either ..i just has warm wet season and warm dry season ..no winter, fall or spring .. just good summer days and better summer days all year round
hopefully someone can show a video of how to clean this thing after it's gotten filthy from killing hundreds of bugs in a night. do they stick to the UV bulb? this is the main reason that the other electric Solutions fail early because the insides get filthy in the system overheats.
@@TheChanClanLife yes removed it and cardboard i tried taking the bulb out and reattaching it still no luck must be a bad one i guess it’s back to the store with it may see if ryobi will send me a new bulb first
Omg it's enormous. I was hoping for something that could hang from a wheelchair or stroller but this is bigger than I anticipated. Thanks for the video.
pro tip try to avoid sucking your teeth. its a pet P of alot of ppl and will turn viewers away. not to mention it rapes headphone users ears since it clips higher on the mic.
Great video! Ryobi should make this a hybrid model so you can plug into a outlet like the fan. 👍❤️🙏
Or just save money and buy a plug in one.
@@wm1958 so have both. we use these in our rv. cordless is all thats needed.

Did exactly the same thing haha
Took off the sticker and in five seconds after turning it on again
Killed two bugs ☠️
Mosquitoes are attracted to our co2, not lights. Like the other dude said you need them cartridges to lure in the flying vampires.
Nice, I ordered one of those octenol lure mosquito cartridges let's see if it works
would love to know the run time on the 3AH
Thank you so very much for pointing out the cardboard nonsense
No problem, I was wondering why it wasn't turning on
Great video, first one I found with an actual demonstration and tips. I just got mine last night.
Thanks man, the only video I can find with an actual demonstration!!!
Yep it's super brand new! I had to wait until night time to get a lucky zap!

Does it tell you how many hours it gives you running time on battery
I think 3 hours per 2ah battery
Good video. Thanks. Maybe a little less tongue smacking. Good luck sir

The 4amp fits it just fine
I use a 9ah too

We just received our version here in Australia, I made a video on some of the different features on our version. Great vid TheChanClan
How long the battery last?
Usually a week of evening use, there also a timed auto shut off on the zapper that powers it down automatically
Very helpful. I didn’t know to remove the red sticker. Thank you.
Can't find one in my city. can anyone share zip code where Home Dep** has in stock. Thanks
$99 dollar too much expensive
Mine stopped zapping after a few days
Can this be used in the home?

You can detach the cage to get under by the light and just use come compressed air to get all the stuff that did not fall into the catcher.
Can it be used during the day ?
Yes absolutely
just pick one up should the uv light come right on? mine not
Make sure to open it up and remove the sticker that’s blocking the electrical connection

Where did you buy it from? I can’t find it anywhere.
HomeDepot.com shipped. I think I got the initial batch and it sold out.
@@TheChanClanLife yes but it doesn’t even show the product on the website at all

4 amp batteries fit fine. Mosquitoes are not attracted to UV. OTHERWISE good video.
Seconding that the 4AH battery fits.
Thanks boys! Doesn't create a fitment issue at the bottom at all then? Thought the 4 amp might stick out. Cheers

If you live in Hawai’i, you have a lanai, not a “patio”. Haoles … 😤 lol. Thank you for review! Aloha🤙🏼

pro tip try to avoid using rape except for rape
how long does it usually last?
Does this work on house flies?
