As a carpet cleaner, these type of machines are used all wrong. What you should do is create a separate spray bottle with water cleaner mixture, spray the vacuumed surface and scrub with a brush. Then you fill your unit with fresh water and use the fresh water in the unit to rinse away the cleaning solution From the carpet. If you put the cleaning solution in your machine, any damp residue will contain cleaning solution and water, which when it dries will become sticky. This will attract more dirt after the cleaning.
@@chrisgraham2904 not exactly. You need a stream of fresh water to rinse the cleaner out of the fabric. Wet/dry vacuum only pulls out debris and extra moisture. But the residual moisture is soapy water.
I used to be an electrician back 4 years ago and Milwaukee was the thing then, and honestly now. I just buy Ryobi, almost half the price and I don't have a single ryobi tool that have broken down on me. And I use it a lot. I'm impressed with it.
They literally have the best team figuring out what we need before we even figure out what we need. Their R&D team is head and shoulders ahead of any others (Outside of TTI of course)!
Actually, TTI owns Ryobi (not Ryobi 😉😅). For my needs, I buy Ryobi, I do not need to spend extra on red tools that have (more or less) the same internals as Ryobi ones. Unlesd you were being sarcastic, and I missed it, at which piont ignore me 😅🤦♂️
I'm so glad I got into the Ryobi line a few years ago- Direct Tools Outlet was the primary reason, but now I look forward to a visit to Big Orange from time to time to see what Ryobi has come up with now. Of course I get that advance look by watching Tool Review Zone! Real Nass Like!
For best results when using the standard wide shampooer brush your supposed to press the trigger spray and slowly pull the brush towards you against the carpet. This sprays the cleaning solution then the brush loosens the dirt and then the front nozzle area sucks the dirt and solution into the dirty water tank.
I recently purchased the Bissell little green machine that similar to this and love it, works like a champ and it is amazing how dirty the water is after cleaning. I have several 18+ Ryobi tools so wish this were around and probably would gone this route to eliminate cords.
Looks like a great tool. I would recommend using a separate drill brush attachment to actually brush the area to be cleaned and then just use this tool to suck the water back up. The one bad thing I see is that is has a very similar hose to the one in the Bissel line and I have had two hoses break on me. The tend to break close to the actual brush head. The repair is expensive. I wish they would use a hose similar to that on the Rigid vac. They last forever. Thanks for the vid!
Your version of a nasty dirty car is so different from mine! I have 4 kids, 2 dogs and an actual filthy car. The portable cleaner looks great though. I should probably get one.
Hoover has a similar version with the same functionality that is cordless or corded. I don't have any Ryobi 18v tools so I might go with the corded CleanSlate Pro Portable Carpet and Upholstery Spot Cleaner for 114.99 at Home Depot. If I needed a cordless I would go with the Ryobi. It's not worth an additional hundred for something that won't be used often and where I can hook up an extension cord easily.
This could possibly be the one to finally get me into the Ryobi line. They've got many cool niche tools that I've thought would be cool to have anyway. This thing looks pretty shweeet
They do make a lot of cool stuff. I prefer milwaukee, of course lol, but ryobi is great for specialty or cheap tools when big red is Mia or too greedy!
Wow, I wish this existed months ago when I bought the little Bissell carpet cleaner 120v version I have now. This would have been perfect for me. Oh well. I'll subscribe, since I have a RAM 1500 too. 😁
@jacktyler5241 Except being a wet dry vac I used it to clean up a dropped glass bottle of hot sauce, glass shards and hot sauce are a no go in MY crannies. ... but might be humorous to watch someone else ... any volunteers? Wait for me to get the video camera set up. And the audio levels set for hot sauce in cranny cuts level of screaming.
The hose-rinse attachment is a smart idea I have a spot cleaner and learned the hard way that if I don't pass through about 1/2 gallon of clear water (a la like a dry/wet vac) after I use it the inside of the hose can get pretty gunky. Especially cleaning gunk off car carpets. Kids spill juice, pop, etc. It keeps the hose "nice-like" My only wish would be why didnt they make it a hybrid?
I need to get my Rem pick’m up truck’ carpet Kleened also. I don’t have little kids to hall around, so there’s no xtra trash in the nooks & crannies. Kids & Grandkids are grown, don’t own anything with four legs either to make messes. In the cab I haul me, my wife, groceries, etc. I sure wish Ry-o-bee would make a 18v coffee pot. Keep’m coming
This will definitely replace my corded Bissell vac. It works great, but the cord is always getting in the way and that’s not real naas like. Plus, I like the longer hose of the Ryobi. They’ve done it again!
I’m thinking the same thing. I recently bought my wife a Bissell for the indoor carpet and rugs that I also planned to use on the cars. I think I like this better for the cars though.
What I realized from watching this is that all vehicles need to come with some sort of trash receptacle chute to a bin under the floor and absolutely WeatherTech floor mats. I also have a Ram Laramie and replaced the floor mats the second I brought the truck home. Living in a cold climate on a dirt road WeatherTech is a necessity.
I’m definitely gonna consider this cleaner for sure! Is it wrong of me to like your videos before I watch them or know what they are about….nah it’s just real naas like!! Lol
Nice, be careful spraying the front seat of cars. Some have a occupant sensor in them. They are expensive to replace. GM wanted almost $600 for the part not including labor and sales tax. I ended up bypassing the sensor. I drove it that way up until the head gasket went out then I scrapped it.
Awesome. I bet the RAM logo would whiten up real mass like if yinz saturate it with cleaning solution, agitate with a brush, let it sit for a minute or two, then extract. Might take a few passes but should be worth a try. (I used to watch AMMO NYC detailing videos but it’s been a while.)
bissell little green machine although not cordless is amazing for cleaning the car it was famous on TIK TOK during COVID so I picked one up and I use it to clean my car seats and mats all the time.
Ryobi be rocken. I'll tell what I'll do Clint. I will let you buy me one of those Ri obi not Ryobi scrubbers, now I don't let just anyone buy me things. 🤣🤣🤣💪
I have a Hoover that I’ve been using, it’s for the most part just like this except it’s corded. It marketed for cleaning up after pets but I bought it to clean my truck. This ryobi seams to pull just as much as my Hoover and the convenience of not having the cord would be real nice like
I want to make one out of the 11L wet and dry vaccum (bought a seperate clear plastic head attachment). The only issue is a nice trigger connected to a water hose for spraying water but I guess a spray bottle would suffice
I did carpet cleaning for years...all that soap is gonna attract dirt faster. What you should do is use a bucket with carpet cleaner solution (Prochem All Fiber Deep Clean) in it and a brush. In you Ryobi use a low pH rinse and flush out the carpets. You will get a much better result.
Better solution for cleaning your floor mats: Since they are out of your vehicle, just hang them on a fence (clamps work), and then fire up your Ryobi pressure sprayer and have at it. It is much faster and does a better job cleaning. Let them drip-dry for a bit and throw them back in your truck, or car, or whatever.
I suspect it won't compare favorably to my nilfisk alto tw400, but it certainly is more mobile and it's more practical for those nooks and crannies. I'd still do the carpets/flat parts with the real extractor, can't beat the power
All my Ryobi batteries started singing like angles on high when I showed them this video. Guess Ryobi has some of my coins coming their way- like real nice like.
Its not battery powered but if you're impressed with this then check out the new Bissell Little Green Hydrosteam. It's a cleaner/extractor with the added function of steam.

So, as long as you have a small extractor nozzle, any wet/dry shopvac will do the job.
@@chrisgraham2904 not exactly. You need a stream of fresh water to rinse the cleaner out of the fabric. Wet/dry vacuum only pulls out debris and extra moisture. But the residual moisture is soapy water.
Spraying water on stain, scrubbing and using shop vac will leave no soapy residue. Since you don’t use soap
This isnt how they are used correctly, but it is how everyone uses them
So good to see a good representation of it
Now they gotta make a hot water steam vacuum for upholstery that would be awesome
getting more and more impressed with Ryobi and their stuff, decent price and so many tools

I have been anxiously awaiting this.
I picked up a couple of batt-ries during the Home Depot Ryobi Days deals. I may have to grab one of these. Thanks Clint.
Ryobi should come up with an in between wand head and it will be just about perfect.
Great review, good job Ryobi.
