    Unsealed canister is a deal breaker. HEPA filtration does not work if the canister leaks all the dust and allergens back into the air.

      @@wheelofcheese100 --- Price doesn't matter . You get a sealed system at these prices when you buy a Shark .Lack of a sealed system is a deal breaker for ME as well . Your room shouldn't smell weird after you vacuum . If it does , you need to look for a better vac . My deal breaking issue with Shark is their tendency to make their products difficult or impossible to repair ... no parts availability , 10 different kinds of screws , proprietary components that make their products "throw away" , etc. Too bad though . I own a cordless Shark , but I will NOT buy another .

    • @Rob_F8F
      @Rob_F8F 5 месяцев назад +5

      The biggest "deal maker" for me is the battery system. I already have the Ryobi One+ batteries for my power tools, so it means I don’t have to worry about running out of charge halfway through a cleanup.
      My current Dyson has about a 5-10 minute duration before it gives up the ghost.

    • @nickg9021
      @nickg9021 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Rob_F8F I agree there . Part of the reason that I bought the Shark vac that I did was because you could buy an extra battery and swap it out after the first one is discharged (about 20 minutes or so), allowing us to finish the whole house without waiting hours for a recharge .

    Great info man, quick question... Can the wet dry Ryobi vac run as a vacuum only? Meaning is there a switch that I can choose that will turn off the flow of the water even if there is water inside the canister? Thanks man.

    • @vacuumnerds
      @vacuumnerds  10 дней назад

      I think you can use it solely as a dry vac, although it's not tremendously effective in that mode.

      @@vacuumnerds cool , so You can confirm that there is a switch that turns the water off and on and allows for vacuum mode only? It doesn't have to be great it's just for basic cleaning around the kitchen when the floor is not dirty. Thanks again man for the response..

    This is nice info, as i just returned the last year model today(R18XSV9PET142), as i claimed warranty (65days) on the broken hose (between the main motor head and the stick), the hose got two slits (left and right side) which makes less suction. Sadly this is the 2nd time i returned it, i have purchased the 1st one last July and broke on Sept with same slit issue. It seems the hose is very stiff and when being used, swinging left and right of the vacuum it causes to break. I was wondering if the hose of these three new models will be as flexible as the Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet Elite Cordless Vacuum.

    Have care with Ryobi Stick Vac's the hose for the floor piece will break w/in 3 months of purchasing and they seem to use a proprietary hose size so after you take it apart and attempt a repair it leaves you frustrated. My fault for not doing the warranty. But if there is an issue you can't get parts. Shark at the bare minimum has parts available to repair.

      Nearly every model of Shark with a dual roller head is designed so that only the fluffy roller is easily removable. The traditional or powerfins roller requires you to disassemble the entire head.
      This is true of the corded Vertex upright and the Vertex Pro lightweight. I'm also pretty sure that the original Vertex cordless and the Vertex Pro cordless upright.
