It’s mind bottling that it took this long for them to ditch the old tower light design. The tri power option on this one is fantastic. Do I need this? Probably not. Am I going to buy this immediately? Yes.

C'mon Ryobi 18V Laser Level! We can hope, right? They need more hybrid devices. It's cool to have more options than just the 18V battery. Edit: they need to make some of the larger tools (like this) compatible with the Link system for storage! Have a leg that has the link pocket on it to hang on the link system would be cool!
I just started getting into the Ryobi ecosystem by accident. So far I have the fan, air pump, right angle drill, and 150 watt power station. I didn't know they had a bug zapper. That's gonna be my next purchase!
We have an absolutely huge hardware store in my neck of the woods , and the tool section they have rows and rows and rows of different brand power tools , also with a vast variety of battery powered ones , and they have a range of low to medium to high cost and quality tools , , and to me ryobi appears to sit in about the middle of the range for home handyman type stuff , but it never ceases to amaze me how much imagination and innovation ryobi puts into their products, and that’s why I am a fan of the ryobi gear . And this utterly brilliant and versatile stand is just a perfect example of ryobi constantly coming up with new ideas.
It’s so cool. I had to share it on Facebook as a contractor. I don’t own one Ryobi tool, but with this video, I might consider being the laughing stock of the job site and start purchasing these fluorescent green tools just because of this one video.

Up in the mountains, we have LOTS of uneven ground. It's hard to tell if the tripod legs are individually adjustable, which would be a must have feature in making the tool useful outdoors.
Ryobi is for novices with no budget and that is fine. My first tool set was Ryobi and I used the hell out of it. cut to 25 years later and I am now a Milwaukee M18 buyer. I once dropped my M18 1/4" impact off a 45 foot roof onto concrete. after picking it up, the only evident damage was a scuff on the battery-- that was still connected! I pulled the trigger and it still worked! Do that with Ryobi poopy tools!
I also like the durability of the Batteries as long as you keep them on the charger and make sure they’re constantly charged and rotated. I haven’t had a failure at all. There is numerous video showing you how you can bring back your batteries that suddenly stopped working and it’s not very hard at all. You can just zap it suddenly comes back to life.

Awesome I want one. You kinda glossed over the best part. The 40v battery on the light or fan would be awesome here in Florida during power outages. Huge extended range. I have built some of my own devices to syphon power off the batteries during an extended outage. I would love to see my 6ah 40 volt be able to charge up my 18 volt batteries. A true wireless charger.
